Fast food joint. Busy but super well managed. Been around a long time. This is THE spot to visit if you are craving Indian street food. They have a dog friendly patio outside and air conditioned seating inside. If you are looking for Indian sweets, especially during Diwali, look no further, this is your shop. Vegetarian restaurant, highly recommend their Gujarati dishes.

We ordered Chole Bhature, Pau Bhaji, Vada Pau, Khaman Dhokla. Everything was great. The food was great. Portions were bit on a smaller side. We ordered two desserts gulab jamun cake cup and gulab jamun cheesecake both were good the gulab jamun cheesecake had biscuits on the bottom.

Food was average here. The only thing I liked here was Khandvi! The best Khandvi I’ve had so far in US.The dry fresh snacks are definitely good here.Pau bhaji was not good, Pani puri was ok, Sev Khamni was average, gujarati Thali was not good, mango lassi, and gulab jamun parfait not recommended at all. Jalebi was good.Overall, I was disappointed with the taste.

3/5/23..Our first time here, and while the cashier person wasn’t mean, he wasn’t nice. I told him it was our first time here and weren’t sure what to order- we felt rushed. This is a “in the know” you got to know what you’re getting before ordering kind of place. Everything we ordered was too spicy for us, and the flavor was bland 😬 but now I know to look at the internet menu as it has a description of menu items. We were visiting friends in LA.. wanted to try some chaat places around the area.. found this one and we have no regrets! The chaats were amazing and tasted goooood.. we got the Pani Puri, Bhel Puri, Sev Puri, Dahi Sev Puri, Chole Batura, Dabeli and Jilebi (yumm!!!) 🤤 we also did get the gelato and ice cream which was decent..👍🏻

Ive been here a few times and have had good experiences each time. Sometimes when they are busy the wait time for food can be a little long and the staff is not always very friendly or happy to serve you. However the quality of the food is great! The sev dahi puri is excellent, dahi puri is good, and the Surati Tacos are good if you can tolerate spice. I had the two tacos and my mouth was burning for about an hour after eating them, I wish there was a spice level you could tell them for the tacos! I would like to try a thali here, will be back sometime. Update: the chole was a bit underwhelming so definitely stick with Gujarati food here :)

Good food but always crowded so it can be difficult to find a place to sit. I really like the Pav Bhaji, Bhel Puri and Dabeli here. The Thali was also great. Dahi Sev Puri and Falooda were just alright. Parking on the weekends is also a struggle here.

Vegetarian finger food. So delicious and fun to eat...pani puri is a must and I loved the marsala dosa. Get the patish too. This place is casual like a bakery/deli. Order at counter, huge menu. Can also dine al fresco at tables set up along sidewalk. Staff efficient...dont expect smiling service cuz they are young behind the counter, but boy ...the food is yummy. Highly recommend.

Me and wife were craving to eat some really good chaat on a Friday evening got a dabeli and Vada Pav from this place. It was horrible, the patty and the Dabeli mix were too salty. When we raised the issue to person at the counter, he said “there is nothing we can do after you paid, i ll inform the kitchen”, such a blunt attitude. Never coming to this place again.

Went there on a Sunday night and the place was quite crowded. We had heard a lot about their famous items like Khandvi and Khaman but unfortunately they were out of it. We tried Lilva Kachori and Chole Samosa. The Kachori was mouth watering delicious with their special green chutney which was adding more flavor to it. Chole samosa was good too. Will definitely visit this place again when in Los Angeles.

This used to be a great place to eat Indian food, snacks, etc but we went just a few days ago and it has gone downhill a lot. We ordered Surati Tacos and Masala Dosa and they basically used pav bhajhi mix for everything, that’s not even how you properly make masala dosa. It was way too spicy and it’s like they just used the same potato mixture for every single dish.Only redeeming features were the dhokla and wada pav were pretty good, but overall food quality has gone down a lot the past few years.We tried it out because we hadn’t gone in a long time and now I know why we didn’t go for so long, the food isn’t good and it’s not worth it especially when there are so many other choices in Little India in Artesia.

Sanitising stations are all around.The bathrooms were also clean.The staff was friendly.We had ordered Dhokla, Jalebi, sheerkhand puri, dahi puri and some Indian sweets.We loved the Jalebis, sheerkhand puri, the sweets and the dahi puri.The dhokla could have been better. It was pretty dry.With the green chutney it tasted better. But they can improve their dhoklas.Other than that every thing was great.

This place was unbeatable. Their tacos were very satisfying with dahi, lettuce, aloo and masala. Also, their dosas are very nice and they add a nice amount of the toppings to it. Their fries and vada pav were very spicy but enjoyable. Lastly their mango mousse and their Black Forest cakes are awesome. I would come back any time I’m visiting L.A. If you come here, prepare to be spiced! 🌶️🔥

This is definitely one of the best Indian places in Artesia for quick Indian bites . Nice place to enjoy Indian chat. The service is quick and this place usually crowded over weekends. They have have almost every chat item available and prices are pretty reasonable. Parking is not available, you may need to street park or park at the paid parking spots.

Sweets are amazing. Quality is good and price is economical too. Chats are good as well. Lot of other Indian snacky items are good. All sweets tastes good and the level of sweet is just enough. I have sensitive teeth if I eat bad sugar I can feel immediately but when I had these sweets It wasn’t. You can try it!!

We bought half pound of sweets from here. They allowed us to select variety of the sweet. I felt the kaju sweets like Kaju Katli and Kaju roll could use a little more sugar other than that, the place looked great and was clean.We also had Dabeli and Sev dahi puri. Dabeli had green chutney in it which was a little off putting and the puri in Sev dahi puri was fried and I got the taste of oil in it. I guess I have eaten too much dabeli and chat at Neehes in Michigan so this didn’t match my taste palette..

Well, if you’re just missing Indian “Nasta” then this is where you go. Best Jalebi in town and good quality Namkeen’( Dry Savory) chaat etc...Shrikhand Puri was outstanding, not like Maharashtrian style, its more of Gujrati style but it’s delicious. They got freshly made sweets, pure desi ghee homemade style. Must try spread of Namkeen’s and Sweet, it’s mouth watering. They have outdoor seating available, parking is on street for couple of hours free. Try khaman over dhokla, somehow dhokla wasn’t that great but khaman and chutney was great.

I wish there was 0 star.Rude staff, bad food quality and worst service.I ordered barfi, they gave me milk cake.Then when I informed them of what they did, someone told me to come to the store whenever I have a chance and get refund. Surti Farsan mart is a nice place to eat. Good light and heavy meals as well.It’s a Indian Vegetarian restaurant.Cleanliness was maintained when we went there.And we didn’t have to wait much to get our order.You can buy snacks and sweets as well.We ordered Masala Dosa, Dahi Sev Puri and Veggie Spring-rolls. Coconut chutney was delicious too.There’s paid street parking. First one hour is free but you need up purchase a ticket otherwise there’s a fine of $40.

Went here on a Sunday morning looking forward to the the khandvi, khaman and vada pav. All of them were tasty and delicious and the jalebi was sweet and sumptuous. The only downside we felt was that the khandvi served was cold but this is the only place I have found yet that serves khandvi that is so delicious. The ussar was also good but sev could have been a little lesser on it which would have made this review 5 stars. Look forward to trying other dishes on their menu in the near future. I hope they open a new branch in Culver City/Woodland Hills.

This is my go to Indian Restaurant in this area. I have been here at least 50 times and I still dont get bored of their food. They have typical Bombay style chat items to go with Gujrati and South Indian dishes. Quantity is typical of the chat dishes so you may want to order a few. Prices are reasonable and taste is mind blowing. They also have a thali option to cater to your buffet cravings. Place is always crowded being so famous but the wait times are no longer than 10 minutes.

They have a lot of items in the menu. However the taste is so so. We tried the pav bhaji, chole bhature, dhokla, ras Malai and faluda. The pav bhaji was pretty bland (bhaji was like some dal). Chole of chole bhature and faluda was below average. Dhokla was very dense and did not taste much like dhokla. The only item I liked was ras Malai. They should perhaps change their chef or try to make the items tastier. May go back there but only for sweets.

Trust me, that was the worst bhaji pav and sev usal that I have ever had in my entire life. A big no to anyone planning to order these two items. I think they should remove it from their menu as they don’t know how to make it. My two stars are just for khandvi and batata wada, both these were good in taste. The sev puri was disappointing as well. Please don’t fool people. Bhaji pav and sev usal cannot taste like that in any of the universes.

Bought Medhu Vada from them to go. Had to wait more than 10 mins for them to make them. And Oh my god it was one of worst Vada I have ever ate. It was over cooked with old oil. It taste really really bad. Not sure what they put inside and if they make vada from old ingredients. It felt like we ate something from the trash. When I say hit and miss, I mean hit and miss. Their samosa chole is good. But there Masala dosa is bad. It was cold. The pancake wrap ( yes I am Pakistani) was cold, and the Sambar was watery hidden with extra chili. Their Mango Faluda was a scoop of the lowest quality, and freezer burned vanilla ice cream EVER, with a weak, low quality Mango Lassi...totally horrible.Get Shanawaz Mango Lassi on Sunday, and you will know yogurt quality. Unhappy with this vendor, not recommended. Relatives ordered Diwali treats as a gift for my family. Some treats arrived but some items were missing, were never shipped. Today was the worst though. We placed our order around 11:10am. Three times we asked why it was taking so long to complete our ordered items. Each time they assured us no worries the items are on the way. Finally around 11:50am we decided we no longer wanted to wait any longer and we wanted a refund. At which time the cook notifies the cashier that our items were already prepared and served to us. At that time the lady that was serving the food to the customers tells the cashier and cook that was not the case and that we were never served our remaining items. We ordered 5 food items and served two. In my opinion all of the employees are incompetent (At least the ones we dealt with today) and I wont be visiting this place again. There are two many options that provide better service to deal with their incompetence. We did receive the refund after wasting our time for about 40 minutes waiting for our food.

Restaurant have to understand food quality has to be consistent, they have also forgotten in the past to give my full order and I had to go back to pick up the rest. But I think the owners don’t care as they get new customers who cares if the old one comes back. My complaint is hire people who are there to work and not just for fun because it’s an Indian restaurant doesn’t mean you treat Indians differently. Almost everything was bad except samosa and boiled mung in the dahi Puri. the chana had weird texture, batura was thick, ragada had no taste, not worth all the plastic packaging! This is the first and last time!

Great customer service when I went. I am relatively unfamiliar with Indian food, but they were very patient and knowledgeable when I asked about their menu items. The dishes they recommended turned out delicious!

I liked the food. We tried the indian chat and sweets and all of them turned out to be good. They have Mexican fusion as well, chutney quesadillas and Chole Nachos which are quite tasty. The sweets and snacks are also pretty good. I recommend the place for anyone to have a quick bite or a full meal. We tried Mexican indian fusion, dosa, samosa, falooda, petish, jilebi and all of them were very good. We all liked them. Food is relatively on spicier side, so mention ahead if you want less spicy.

Prices are good and they have lots of different dishes spins on dishes that cant be found elsewhere. We had the Thali, Chole Samosa and Khasta Kachori. All tasted good and portions were also good. Inside is clean with good decor and lots of space.

This place has all the items for your grocery needs. Sometimes you may get lucky and find items like Desi Rotis here. I wouldnt say that the place is shabby but it is not very well maintained either. Parking is sparse. If you want to visit this place you are better off finding parking in the street. On the whole, it is not a bad place to shop.

The only reason I’m not giving 5/5 stars because They have been making fool people about “Khaman” order. Please please check your to go order before you leave the store. They pretend they got you everything in your order but if you ordered “Khaman” you will not find it at home.I don’t know why they are doing to everyone, personally I have more than 4 times of missing “Khaman” order. I have been here few times, very average place with good variety of options but below average taste.If you have good north indian/gujarati taste you will not find the food as good as the reviews/ratings suggest. Actually all the three times I visited I had to get food elsewhere, since the taste was not really good. Disappointed and will not visit this place again.

Nice fast style cafe. Lots of options. Mumbai/Gujarati style cooking. Vegetarian tatsy food. For authentic South Indian I would go to a south restaurant like Podi Dosa. For Chola Bhature I would go to a Punjabi restaurant. If you are looking for mixed taste or in a group with different interests (like I do from time to time), this is a great choice. Can get busy in the evenings and weekends, so be prepared.

Well, the all samples that tasted great, had poor packing.With reference from one of my friends went to Farsan, and tried some of the INDIAN Chat which were amazing & wanted to share some snacks with few friends near my home, and brought few packets for them. The red / hot gothiya was amazingly tasty and brought 1/2 lb. along with some more 1/2 lb. packets of Bhakarwadi & few other snacks. Out of the 4 packets, 2 of the broke their Thermal Sealing manually done, ending everything served on the CARPET, crap !!! Id have been more cautious to save the second packet, but it was my other friend who opened it.So, be sure triple check your packets before you leave or you will end-up with your snacks served to the carpets ;(Good Luck !!!

Its an explosion of flavor in your mouth -said my friend as she was giving me the lowdown of what she ordered for our group. And yes, it was nothing short of that.This was my first time having authentic Indian street food and it was so delicious. Where has this been all my life?? Everything I had was full of flavor and spice. So SO good.**this review is mainly for newbs to this food... hehWe started with the Pani Puri. It consists of a round, hollow, fried pastry shell filled with chutney, chili, potato, onion and chickpeas. You fill the shell with a cilantro water to the brim and consume the bite sized snack in one bite. Wow, explosion of flavor, texture and spice. Warning: You must be able to handle spice!! I came with someone who couldnt hang; yay more for me :]] Just kidding, I shared. These are so delicious; we each had our own order of Pani Puri (6 per order)Masala dosa: Think a thin, slightly sweet crepe stuffed with potato in the middle. This comes with a soup (lentil like) and coconut cream sauce as sides. You can dip dosa in these sauces or just eat them by themselves. You can also order the dosa without the potato in the middle. The dosa was slightly sweet and nicely crisped on the outside. This was a nice balance to the heat and flavors from the other dishes.Delhi Chaat: Fried pastry shells mixed with potatoes, chickpeas, beans covered with a yogurt sauce and sweet/spicy sauces. Very delicious. Those shells stayed crispy to the very last bite.Bhel Puri: Rice puffs with potatoes, beans, onions, cilantro covered with a sweet and spicy sauce. Also very delicious. This was more refreshing and lighter than the delhi chaat. Wonderful blend of flavor and texture from the puffs, beans and oninons.Chole Bhature: Like Naan, but not oily. It comes with this chickpea stew/soup that you dip the bread in. The bread was soft and yummy. I liked this soup flavor better than the one that came with the dosa.All in all, everything I tried was full of flavor and tastiness. Not to mention, our dinner was less that $9 and we were stuffed. Now I just need to move closer

For fresh farshan yes. For fresh food may be no. Khaman and khandvi were served chilled. IDLI not soft. Dosa not kind of South Indian batter and SAMBHAR like Gujarati lasan wali Dal. You may find more people may be due to their location.We got malbari sev and it was awesome. Bundi ladu was also good

Food was tasty but there is very little awareness of safety and nut allergy with the folks in charge. Just watch out if you are allergic to nuts. We ordered a chocolate Dosa and found out that they used Nutella instead of chocolate after my daughter who is allergic to nuts started reacting. Luckily she became fine with some Benadryl. Wouldnt risk eating here anymore
