Surfing Crab Escondido in Escondido

New place to try near our area. Staff sit us right away. They were friendly and attentive. Our drinks were filled right away. Service was quick and everything was hot. We ordered the Trio Especial it is a lot for 3 people so we took home the left over. We chose the lemon butter and Cajun for the sauce. Love that they name their drinks after locations in Escondido. I think they need to put a big sign outside where everybody can see it. We just happen to stop in front of it. They have happy hour until 7pm. They have other Asian inspired dishes on the menu so if you dont like seafood there are other options. We would be back again with friends and families.

Wow!!! We loved our first time visiting Surfing Crab In Escondido. We were excited when we saw it being put in and couldnt wait to come visit. Today was the day thankfully. We loved every bit we tried. We got the Texan Boil which had crab, shrimp, potatoes, corn, and sausage. We tried it with Mild sauce. It was great. We kinda wanted a bit more spice so our waitress went to the back and made a bit of medium sauce for us to try. This made all the difference in bringing our meal to Fantastic. We also tried the hush puppies-- YUM, edamame - YES PLEASE, and calamari ( my boyfriends fav). We are already planning our next trip back. Go check this spot out soon. Youll love it.

I am not a normal foodie person to post, but I NEED this place to stay open!!!Im from Houston, Texas, and miss some seafood broil and normally not a fan of seafood in a bag, but this place does it right. I got crawfish, with old bay seasoning at the spicy level, and it was amazing. Crawfish and shrimp were big, came with 3 corn on cob, 3 potatoes, and a lot of sausage. Had the Monday night football game on about 8 tvs, which could be seen from anywhere you sit. Prices are perfect!

Amazing food amazing service. I’ve always enjoyed seafood boils, and this place is now my favorite. They not only have the big meals for Graves but they also have individual option so you don’t have to be with a bunch of friends to go here in enjoy it.

Everything was so delicious! I loved everything and I was so happy to see they had hushpuppies on the menu🤩 I recommend their house seasoning. We will be back for sure!

Surfing crab was in there soft opening but the restaurant appeared about a half full. Menu not at first easy to understand what wants to wait. Staff explained it much better.We ordered two of the really big platters the trio and another one which was plenty of food for six people. We did not need the three appetizers we ordered.

It’s the first time coming here, still needs a lot of improvement, food wise, very Vietnamese but almost to the point of taste, I would rather go to the one on Grand it’s way better, at least the sauce is not like all powder.

Wow! Do your best to get to this unique dining experience. We ate at the bar and had the pleasure of meeting Jose, our host for the day. What ever we needed or didnt even think we did, presto it was there. The food is an amazing Texas gulf experience.

We stopped by on a Monday for a late lunch/early supper. The food was excellent, cooked great, outstanding flavors, good sized portions, & decently priced.Our waiter was William & the service he provided was EXCEPTIONAL! William is one of the best waiters we have experienced in a long time. THANK YOU WILLIAM!There is a bar that offers Happy Hour Monday-Friday 3-7PM and we will try that next time.Surfing Crab is a really nice restaurant and much needed addition to the North County Fair Mall area.

The seafood was amazing and better priced than most seafood boils Ive been to. The waitress was amazing. Only giving them a 4 because the chicken nuggets from the kids meal were not great at all. So if you go. Stick to the seafood and bring an appetite.
