Don’t waste your time or money here-sushi/fish is not fresh tasting. Definitely “fishy” tasting as decent sushi is not supposed to taste if that makes sense!Never have I seen weirdly and differently colored fish chunks in a negi Hama (hamachi) roll, or a disgusting brown sauce on top of a spicy tuna roll. It hurt me to spend the money that I did here-but lesson learned!

I worked in that same plaza. Definitely a good place to grab good Japanese food if youre in a rush. They usually get busy during lunch 12pm to 130pm so call your order in. Price is fair considering what you order but not too expensive.

My coworkers and I used to get chicken teriyaki bowls here almost every day and they were very yummy. However yesterday we found a bug in one of our teriyaki bowls, so unfortunately I will not be returning here to buy any of their food.

This place is terrible. Found hair on my rolls. The teriyaki is bad. The place is really run down and no AC ..and definitely not good price value. Eat here at your own risk. I didnt finish my food...

After I dined inside I asked to use their bathroom and they replied “Sorry closed due to COVID” 7/20/23 REALLY COVID! Im tired of people still taking advantage of a past tense pandemic! Food is a bit pricey, ok food, use your bathroom before you go!!!

If you are looking for very basic inexpensive options this is a great place to go. Clean. Pretty friendly staff. Requested brown rice and was told it would be a additional $2. Ended up not getting anything. My guest ordered the Cherry Blossom.

A great informal spot to have a tasty Japanese lunch. They have bento boxes, donburri, ramen, and a host of other choices. We have tried several dishes and found them all quite good. The spacing is a bit tight, but we found spots to sit down and tuck in to tasty, filling food. The staff is helpful and cheerful, we will be going back.

If I could give this no stars and write a review I would. Fish didnt taste fresh at all. Salmon was gray and textures of everything were aweful. Lots of mayonase and teriyaki sauce on rolls and I dont even understand why. I asked nicely for a refund on 2 rolls because they were so bad I l couldnt even eat them and could hear the owner or manager arguing with the kid working there not to give it to me because I had taken 2 bites it was eaten. I dont like sending food back anyway so that made things extra uncomfortable. Worst sushi place Ive ever tried to eat at.

I love coming to Surukis because hello, the location is great. I can get all my shopping done & eat sushi?! IN THE SAME PLAZA. They always have specials going on and the Bento Box one is usually a steal. Plus, if youre lucky, youll walk in when their chicken teriyaki is the special and order some shrimp tempura on the side.I always get their handrolls, edamame or their spicy chicken wings (which arent even spicy). They taste so good. & they have daily specials too during the weekday. Monday is $1.99 handrolls, tuesday is 0.99 spam masubis (I believe), Wednesday (I think) is Chicken Teriyaki bowls, and Thursday is their spicy chicken wings. Although a lot of people give this place a bad rep because customer service a lot of the employees here are high school sophomores-seniors, as their first job. & that is no excuse but the place does get packed & busy and the frustration seems to all go to the FOH employees. I asked once why a couple orders came out faster than others and its because they have one chef working on hot food items & another on the sushi. & if theres one person doing each thing, obviously it makes sense why other foods come out faster than others. & when it gets like that, & the hot foods are done, Ive seen the other chef help the sushi maker out.I wish this place was a little big, I know that the place would fill out eventually as it already does. Call in ahead of time & expect your food to be ready in about 20-30 mins during busy hours, or 15 mins during non-busy hours. Plus, I like that this place allows you to customize your bento, not like other sushi places in the area. & you honestly cannot beat their teriyaki sauce. Ive tried other sushi businesses in Vallejo but this one HANDS down has the best sauce. So believe me, the wait is worth it.

Second time visiting california and wanted to get sushi with my brother and friends, so we decided to go to this place. It was our first time, and it was AWESOME. It was pretty expensive but there was 5 of us, and it was WORTH it. Definately reccomend this place

Its hard to find really good Japanese restaurant in the area. There are some but I think this one is one of the best. You can literally hear the chef making your food at the back. Their sushi is well made. I use to go to Yo sushi in Benicia but you can tell the quality of their food is not really that good. Compare to suruki I just wished that they would open a bit more earlier. Some may complain about the price. But this review is strictly just about food. Money sometimes is a small price to pay when it comes to great food experience.UpdateBeen visiting this place occasionally and just wanted to update from 2 years ago. The place is still good and have not once gotten a bad experience. Updating from 4 to 5 stars.

Whenever we eat here or order takeout, the servers are always kind, friendly, and helpful. Even during the 2020 pandemic they’ve remained awesome. The food is good! Will definitely continue supporting this place :D

Not the cleanest looking place, rainbow roll wasnt as shown on the menu, but still good. A lot of skin on the teriyaki chicken. Spam musubi was good. Seafood salad was just a little bit, which was fine as it wasnt particularly tasty. Nice staff. Not terrible but not awesome either. Pricey.

Ordered some ramen and a rainbow roll. The food wasnt too expensive, but also not very good. On a more positive note, the kid that served us was polite and attentive. Despite the good service, I still wouldnt recommend eating here.

Really disappointed this last experience at Surukis. My co workers and I ordered a meal for pick up over the phone and was told they ran out of imitation crab and were willing to substitute the California roll and the crab in the tempura roll for other rolls or ingredients for us. So we agreed and picked out similar priced rolls and was okayed by the server who took our order and said it would be 10-15 minutes.We then arrive to see our order was not finished and it was taking longer than expected, so we paid for our order and went to quicklys for a quick drink. Upon returning they told us they just got their imitation crab and it would take a bit longer, and if we were on our lunch break. We responded that we were and we really didnt have the time to wait much longer. They decided to just not honor the substitute and just use imitation crab anyway.Thank you so much for using up my entire lunch break because you wanted to save a little bit of money by not substituting our rolls and wouldnt bother even telling us what you did until we got back to work. Terrible customer service. Absolutely terrible.

Great food and friendly staff! We often go here whenever we crave for sushi. I love the combo A B and C which is worth it to order to reach point of satiety for craving sushi. They have promotions or discounts for a certain food during weekdays.

Ordered a spider roll, dragon roll, lion king, and rock n roll.The unagi was mostly fatThe spider roll tasted off..like old crab or not fully cooked, the tempura batter wasnt fully fried in the middleThe lion king roll was cold before I opened it up to eat it in the carSuper disappointed

Gotta love Surukis, theyre very generous with the portions compared to other Japanese food places Ive visited, and for a very good price too! My only complaint is that the restaurant itself is pretty small so it can be a tight fit for larger parties or if theyre particularly busy. Still would recommend for great Japanese food on the go!

Small hole in the wall kinda place, but not dirty or divey. Just tiny. Tons of food choices. Had miso ramen. Was quite good. Served to my table quickly. Will come back to try more. Very reasonable prices! Only thing I didnt like was big TV playing a loud, bad movie, but other diners didnt seem to mind it.

Horrible. Hair in my food, my miso soup was expired. The fish was frozen and thawed, wasabi was watered down, ride was overcooked, no compensation offered which is fine but for the price it should be at least edible, it made me feel sick

Surukis quality and speed can vary widely from day to day. I like them for a basic Japanese meal. The big down side is the lack of a customer restroom. Most of the time theyre really fast.

The food is mediocre. Price is inexpensive for Japanese food, but you definitely get what you pay for. If price is more important than quality for you, than this is the restaurant to check out for Japanese, but I doubt Ill ever come back here!

Ordered the beef teriyaki with (squid salad that came from Costco ). 2nd order was chiken teriyaki with (spring rolls )also from Costco . Overall food was ok, a bit pricey for what your getting . Ill try out the sushi rolls the next time I go there .
