Ordered the nigiri special. Not so special. Unusual salad dressing - not miso, not mayo, it was okay though, with an added splash of soy sauce.Wasabi: darker and drier than typical.Rice: drier than normal.Tako: dried out.Maguro: decent!Rest: odd, excess moisture on fish. Like fish were “sweating”.Servers were excellent.They are apparently coming to downtown Mountain View. Won’t be back here, but will give new location a chance.

Its literally the tiniest avocado roll Ive ever received. Im not a big eater. Normally, for me, it is enough an avocado roll and miso soup. However, this was the tiniest thing ever. They are unflexible, creating a vegetarian BENTO box. They cant order 1 item on the 2 item box even when i offeted to pay full price. Not accomodating at all.

Love this local spot- service is always courteous and food never misses. I’m particularly obsessed with their salad dressing which is usually nothing to write home about at sushi restaurants but for some reason theirs is so good and is made in house. Quality of the fish is fresh and overall great value. Would recommend!!

We got Uni and stuffed Jalapenos (bomb) for appetizer. Uni was fresh and delivious but the stuffed jalapenos were quite mediocre and not so tasty. Our best order was the Hot Kiss! Definitely give it a shot and you wont regret it. It was so tasty that convinced me to add a star.

Ordered a Nigiri combo, hamachi and toro sushi through DoorDash with a total of 44.68. The price was pretty fair; however, the quality was really poor. The fish was very fishy and not fresh. The fishy taste was too strong that I did not even want to take a second bite. The sushi rice has a weird and sour taste. And I found out there were some white liquid at the corner of the takeout box that smelled bad and sour. Not sure what the liquid is though… I would definitely not recommend their sushi.

Sashimi in Willow Glen…yes please. We have enjoyed this spot for years, and each time it’s delish. Tonight I got sashimi combo dinner, but we’ve loved the rolls, tempura, grilled fish and the fried chicken…all hella good….including tonight’s sashimi dinner.

The beef udon was cooked to tender perfection. We ordered the ninja roll which was refreshing and made us hungrier by the gulp. Also, the volcano roll is cheesy-licious umami awesomeness, you’ve been warned. Lovely thicc slices of sashimi on the assorted platter, three slices of each fish. It’s affordable, we had to take the beef udon home because we were stuffed (yes it was still tender after heating up).

I am conflicted I would like to give this place more stars as the food and service were amazing, however there are several cleanliness issues this restaurant needs to address. The first thing I noticed was that my salad bowl had a big greasy thumb print on it This got me to looking around a little closer... I noticed that the take out table across from me had rice and other food material on it. This bothered me as I was the 1st person through the door meaning the food had been sitting there since the day before. Then when I went to use the restroom I noticed the floor was greasy the closer I got to the kitchen, both a hazard to staff and customers and never a good sign of cleanliness. There was a large amount of liquid on the kitchen floor and a lot of food.... never a good sign. On my way back I took a good look at the display cases. These are display chillers not refrigerators and the fish was stacked to the top touching each other. I recommend that the health department pays this place a visit. I may go back one day. This being said the food Hamachi Kama was great.

Id go back for the extremely fresh fish, and the creative rolls. I had one with green onion on top, which gave it a fresh crispy crunch. The jalapeño bombs stole the show for us. They werent too hot, and the filling was incredible. They were lightly fried in a crispy panko shell. Cant miss these

UNSATISFIED! I came around 4pm. I cant believe I paid almost $50 and they gave me BROWN lettuce instead of fresh. (I left pictures) It was packaged pretty mashed together, I understand to save space but FRIED rolls should NOT be packaged with my cold rolls. The spicy tuna rolls werent great. The philly rolls fell apart (note: they do not come with crunch, I added it on top, and the firecracker roll (deep fried) did not really have a taste so I did opt to use sriracha sauce on them.

First visit impressions. Not a large restaurant and thats positive. Nicely decorated. The staff are all very friendly, in fact I was pleasantly pleased that the number of wait staff servicing at the 6pm hour was 5 or so and the overall service was prompt.The portion size of the edamame appetizer was huge, the soybean pods were fresh, a tad bit over salted, perhaps a fluke, delicious nonetheless. The salmon skin hand roll had a decent amount of crispy skin, and overall much more satisfying than what other local sushi restaurants serve. Ordered the Chirashi entree, all the sashimi were fresh, none were sinewy, the rice was served in a large tea leaf roll which was unique to say the least.Ill definitely return to check out other dishes.

Amid Covid, they have the outdoor seating in front of the plaza to sit and relax while eating but we took it to go. Food presentation was great.

Overall, the quality of the sushi was decent however the cuts were horrible. We mainly order nigiri and also ordered the sashimi combo deluxe. The cuts were inconsistent and there were pieces of the toro that were just not edible. In this case, the quantity over quality did not help. Some pieces were an inch thick on one side and the other end was flat. The bite feel made the experience rather unappealing and too much at times. We won’t be coming back due to this and nothing really stood out.We ordered online and requested three sets of chopsticks and they didn’t even get that right. lol. First impression wasn’t good.

Before going to a show at the SAP Center, my three friends and I came here to have lunch. We were promptly greeted and shown a table. The service was quick and friendly. Our drinks were kept full. The four of us devoured some miso soup and 5 rolls easily and were so full by the end! We ordered rolls #1, 2, 11, 16, & 24. #1, 2, & 24 were the best of them. # 11 & 16 were just ok, wouldnt order them again though. Overall it was a good experience.

The sushi here is fantastic. You will want to just keep eating. I highly recommend the Toro sashimi. It melts in your mouth and is a hearty chuck of tuna. The tempura veggie starter is also delicious. We will definitely be back!

Oh dear - hate to give a negative review. Walked in for lunch with a friend - couldn’t eat inside because it smelled really fishy. Sat outside and we both ordered Bento. Mine had sashimi, mushy sashimi. Disgusting. Not edible. No one came to check how our meal was. Finally, someone came to bus the table and I pointed out the sashimi issue. She said sorry and started to walk away. I pressed the issue a bit so she decided to go to chef who offered to remake. Had to decline - Little to little too late in the meal. So she handed us a full ticket. At this point I asked her if this is what the chef really wanted to do when food not edible. Back she went and came back with revised price on the Bento. Gosh I had to work hard customer service! For me quality of food was subpar. My friend also noted same and said she would not come back again.

Sashimi is very fresh (maguro and hamachi) and they have gluten free soy sauce. My hubby had a bento box with teriayak chicken, caterpillar roll, miso soup and a side of the arash roll. Edamame beans and seaweed salad were very fresh. We have done dine in and take out hence the mixture of pictures. Quality and service has been very consistent.

Sushi Arashi was excellent. Our sushi rolls were tasty and everything was the freshest!! I also had salmon sashimi and the pieces were large and melted in you mouth like butter. This was my favorite sushi restaurant until my most recent experience. I ordered a mango crunch roll, an orange roll, a salmon avocado roll and a miso soup. I ate about half of the food and started to feel uneasy. Within an hour I had moderate stomach pain, bloating and the urge to use the restroom. Within two hours, I was throwing up and had repetitive diarrhea. This lasted approximately 12 hours. I called the restaurant and the manager (Karen) told me it must have been something else and that I would have to go to the hospital and have them confirm that the sushi made me sick in order for them to do anything. I told the manager that hospitals don’t do that and she said there is nothing she could do.I was extremely disheartened by the dismissal of my experience, the lack of accountability and overall handling of the situation. Extremely unfortunate given this was my favorite sushi spot.

Great neighborhood place. We order out mostly. Our family favorite is the dinner combination. We order the salmon or chicken teriyaki and spider roll or tempura. We drive all the way over from East Foothills near Alum Rock Park. We have not been disappointed, worth the trip. We order and by the time we get there the order is ready for pickup. We park behind the restaurant or on the side street when going for pickup.

I went here for the first time yesterday and turned out to be a great spot. The Toro Nigari was excellent, really sweet like butter. The service was really fantastic. The fried baby octopus with the special sauce that was similar to a sweet gravy was excellent. I cant think of anything we ordered that wasnt good. Visited Sushi Arashi with a good friend on Valentines Day not realizing it was that holiday. Restaurant was well staffed considering the surge of customers. Without a reservation we only waited 20 minutes for a table. Staff was courteous, made excellent suggestions from the menu and didnt try to turn the table. Sushi was fresh, great portions and the quality of the fish, food and presentation were excellent. Prices were in line for the quality of the product they served.

We were wanting to eat sushi and it was 9:30 p.m. at night and we used Google Maps to try to find the nearest place to us. This place came up so we decided to give it a try, its in downtown Willow Glen. As we walked up nobody was in there which we always think when a place is empty it must not be good, but we decide to give it a try. Set down to order, the food came rather quickly. The portions were small compared to other places that we eat at and the fish didnt look that fresh. There were no little dishes to put sauce in and once we were served the waiter did not come back to asked us how we were doing so we had to flag them down for things we needed such as lemon dishes and more napkins. All in all weve had better sushi but we tried this place.

Great food, rude staff, and unreliable with COVID demands.I ordered by phone and was told it would be ready in 35-45 minutes. I arrived early bc there could be a line. I stood waiting in line for 20 minutes. Door Dash drivers were cutting in front of the 40+ people waiting. I told the clerk that it wasn’t fair for Door Dash to cut in front of us and she said that it’s fine. The food may have been made fresh but it was no longer fresh by the time I finished paying. Of the four items, two went from hot to cold at the restaurant and were inedible.THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED. Which is why I called for a refund.I spoke with Andrew. Andrew was very confrontational. He argued with me from the moment that the word “refund” came out of my mouth. Based on how many people were waiting in line- I am not special, I did not have a unique experience, everyone got food that was sitting on a table for a while. There were at least 50 bags of food waiting to be picked up. Andrew denied that the food had been sitting around. He said that the manager would only refund for two items on this order and nothing from the previous order because there’s no way to prove that I had ordered twice in two weeks. I offered to provide the date, time, and order number but that was a nonstarter.Times are challenging and restaurants are struggling. This one is struggling to keep up with changing times and have decided that customer satisfaction is irrelevant.

Always so good, I have been going for about 4 months now and will not stop. Its so fresh and my favorite has to be the winter rolls (anything pretty much with shrimp tempura) and the kappa maki. I live down the street and rarely go to sushi on Lincoln since the other local spot is just so-so, but sushi arashi was FABULOUS. I took my family who were visiting from out of town and they were beyond impressed; The fish was fresh and unbeatable quality, creamy and delicate, and generously portioned. The saba sashimi was hands down the most delicious Ive had. We also enjoyed Dragon, rainbow, and spider rolls as well as fresh sashimi, all was amazing. The baked roll we ordered was pretty good but not wow like the others. My only eh was the noise from the tv over the sushi bar. Had that been quieter (maybe subtitles for those watching?) and some music been playing our experience would have been perfect. Overall, super excited I found a great sushi spot walking distance from home with outstanding, friendly service and amazing food.

Then the second time, which is today, we ordered 4 items and only got one but it wasn’t even the right thing, then we told doordash and they offered to give us SOME of the money back but instead I chose to get it redelivered and they said they would, then when they were almost “here” they cancelled on us last minute so they could keep the money since I had already filed a complaint I couldn’t file another. These guys just opened so I decided to try them for takeout lunch yesterday. To be honest - the whole place could be skipped.The front of house was overwhelmed, and I was the only person there! She spent 5 minutes trying to figure out the new cash register, and to give me the incorrect change... When I asked her how (again I was the only person there, and it was a pretty straightforward order, she corrected to 20... No 10! minutes.Nor was the food worth the wait. I ordered a bento box with tempura and sashimi, and both were terrible. The tempura was mush and flavorless, and the vegetables had been over boiled. The sashimi was rough cut and huge, with no consideration about cutting for quality. The fish also was rather... Fishy smelling, which suggests that itd been kept out a bit too long.Hopefully for them, theyre just new and can improve. But Im not holding my breath, and Ill stick with other sushi spots for now.
