My husband and I decided to try this place for lunch today because it had 4 stars. Im not sure how people in Turlock like their fish, but we travel all over the U.S. for work and this place was disgusting. I got greeted and told to sit, while I looked over the menu waiting for my husband to arrive...I could overhear the 2 waitresses talking about their periods and birth control! Not sure about you but that not what I like to hear about before I have lunch. Anyhow we ordered 2 rolls and the spicy tuna was not rolled like a roll. The other one was not fresh at all and tasted like the tuna was sitting for a week. We will ll not be returning back to this place.

We ordered 4 rolls for about $50. I was a bit disappointed though by the dragon roll. When I was chewing, I felt something poking me. It was little fish bones. I was very put off by that and lost my appetite. Everything else was okay. We also ordered the lambada, a baked salmon roll, and horse roll. The server was polite. We called to order our food ahead of time and picked it up at the store.

I was doing some errands around the place, and I asked about Bento box to go, the Asian lady was so kind the food was really fresh and good prices, and fast. The vento box (mine) comes with salad, sauces, salmon, tempura, 4 sushi pieces, miso soup, rice. All of them for less than $13. So far so good I’ll be back here. No doubt. No 5 stars because I have the 5 for awesome places, this is a good place. Probably next time I can see more and give 5 stars.

Fresh, fresh, fresh! I work in the center and I see the delivery truck show up an hour before opening every day. I finally decided to try and was very impressed. I got the Deluxe Combo and every peice was delicious. Pictures dont tell the whole story, these servings are very large, but not too heavy on rice. Definitely recommend.

Just moved to Turlock. My family and I LOVE sushi. Unfortunately will not return to this establishment.Never once have I had a roll smell like the ingredients had been left in the washing machine for a week.We ordered a lot. I noticed the smell when the waitress came back and reached over my plate to put down my youngest’s katsu. I thought it was coming from her plate. I ate 2 pieces before I could tell the smell was coming from my own food. I couldn’t focus on any other smell after that. And surely could not even imagine eating that.The overpowering, pungent, mildew smell that emitted from my “crazy monkey roll” caused both my partner and I to leave hungry after spending almost $100.We didn’t make a big deal, we had our kids with us, and it was very busy. Just paid the bill and sadly no tip. I went home and drank vinegar and cayenne, hope no one else out there gets sick.

The sushi is usually alright...but dont go in here and try to order their ramen soup. They give you instant ramen noodles, and chopped up raw mushrooms. The base is miso soup. I was very disappointed I didnt even eat my noodles. It takes two weeks for the stomach to digest these types of instant noodl. Being pregnant I was looking forward to the authentic ramen noodles. Didnt get that. I drank the broth instead. Being pregnant with a ramen soup craving, and leaving with dissapointment. It was $7 for the soup. I think they may have microwaved it, to soften up the noodles.the bowl was extremely hot, and soup was so hot, I had to wait a couple of minutes for it to cool down. When the dish came out, the noodles were still squared like the package. I had to miss it into the broth to soften it up. Wont be going back for a while.

This is my absolute favorite sushi place! I have been going to this place for a long time now they know me by name. I am absolutely obsessed with their spicy mayo! Haven’t been here in years and came back today and it needs a remodel.The menus need to be replaced. I ordered a Sapporo and they brought me a plastic cold mug lol they don’t want to bring me a glass mug?Either way I’m not returning, it used to be my favorite place to get sushi.

I liked it. I lived in Japan for over 3 years so I tend to be a little picky. The flavor was definitely there. The service is a little sub par. They had a whole lot of servers sitting around in plain view, not serving. Finally the manager took our order. I would definitely order take out.

Awesome food. Its a bit tiny. If you dont get there on early for dinner, youll have to wait a while. The wait isnt that long though. The most Ive waited is 10 minutes, but for the food its worth it. Ive gone there enough that they already know my usual. The workers there are pretty nice and do their best to keep an eye on you. I guess my only qualm is that its a bit small for the lunch and dinner rush. Aside of that, I enjoy the food and atmosphere it provides. 😋

We got take out and I wasnt thrilled. We had the lion king roll which the salmon was very dry and the avocado was brown. The spicy turn roll was very bla and not great. Maybe we just got them on a bad night, not sure but not a good first experience.

Amazingly delicious food, fresh top grade sushi. I tried my first raw tuna here, several years back. I still get my favorite California rolls (with a spicy creamy sauce drizzled over top), but I always have some type of tuna roll and my husband and I love to try a new roll each time we visit! Ordered an avocado cucumber roll, got home, took a bit and there were no cucumbers. Called the establishment and they said, No they put it on I checked. I even sent photos and the guy argued with me saying that there were cucumbers in the photos. Refused to refund me or even apologize at minimum, at that point I told him I was going to leave this review and ended our conversation.To the owners: if someone asks for cucumbers and avocado, it should be proportional, especially if youre charging more than the cost of a cucumber to add it. (I literally cant find them so maybe I should stop eating it in case they are rotten and soggy.)

RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!! I would give this place a 0 if I could. I am not familiar with their menu and their was a misunderstanding of what roll I wanted. The lowlife waitress told the cook the wrong roll and I quickly corrected it. The waitress rolled her eyes and disputed the correction, saying she knows what I ordered and pretty much disregard my request. Then she told me to know what i want before going in. It got worse! then I asked for my money. Nobody stopped her, I was so uncomfortable!!!!

“California rolls” here only come with avocado and imitation crab. You have to pay 50 cents to get cucumber but Cali rolls are supposed to come with cucumber AND avocado. Chicken is over cooked so I would ask them not to overcook the chicken. Other than that it’s good. I like the tempura better they use too.

Turlock service channel sushi restaurant does not disappoint, they have done a nice job creating a cozy environment with authentic decor. Theyre portions are generous and service is very friendly. We especially appreciate the pride in ownership from the owner that can always be found helping out with service.

By far one of our favorite sushi restaurants in the area. Its a bit small and can get very busy but the service is always great and the food speaks for its self! Awesome selection of appetizers, sushi and grilled entrees. Along with a couple big bottles of imported japanese beers and sakis it is a wonderful dining experience.

My husband and I love Sushi Cuisine and rarely go to any other sushi place. There have been times where service suffers a little because they are super busy but the staff is always friendly and you can tell theyre hustling. I love their beef and chicken teriyaki and the rolls are also delicious. I did get the ramen once and it wasnt special so I stick to other menu items.

Overall, the meal was good. The rice and sashimi were excellent but the teriyaki chicken was too dry and the shrimp tempura was undercooked and not as crunchy as they should be. Maybe they rushed it because they’re about to close, but I’ve had better Japanese food. 2/4 were good, I guess.

Absolutely disgusting meal. The eel still had bones in it. Not just a few, but all the bones left in it. Every single piece. All the fish was bland, the rolls sloppy, and not a single person who tried it, liked any of the multiple rolls we had. No one was willing to finish any of it. Do yourself a favor and drive to the Bay Area for sushi and any japanese cuisine. This was awful. First of all, the waitress was rude and she had an attitude. Second of all, the chicken teriyaki was incredibly watery and flavor-less. They gave us the smallest amount of rice and it was not a good ratio of chicken to rice. Third of all, the sushi.... for Christs sake.... had NO FLAVOR. Bland as dirt. We didnt even finish what we ate, it was so bad and bland. The prices stink. The interior and food quality does not match the prices. Your food and restaurant need to be a whole lot better to charge prices like that. They price gawg so much their cheap menu is priced with pen. My sushi was also very chewy it did not taste good. It was like a steak I never had sushi like this before but what can you expect from a city like Turlock that is over ran with homeless drug addicts. I dont like spending money on mediocracy. Food was good, but I was surprised when our most expensive roll, $15 Godzilla Roll, was the smallest, least pleasing roll we ordered. We did not get our rice that came with our combination plate even after the waitress asked if we wanted it.Service was okay, but the rice thing was annoying and they kept asking if we would like more water even when it was clear that we were ready to go and wanted our check.We probably wont return.

Usually satisfied with the service here but on this particular day (Friday 6/15), our waitress was very impatient and rude. First of all, we had to ask for menus and when she brought them, she just layed them in a stack and walked away. Came back for drink order but failed to wait for my daughter to finish ordering a drink for my 2 year old granddaughter so when my daughter started to say we also need a kids drink, the waitress literally rolled her eyes as she realized she had to turn back around. My mom ordered her meal and it came wrong, when she tried telling the waitress the issue, she proceeded to ARGUE with my 74 year old mother that that was what she ordered. Also forgot the appetizer we ordered and when we asked about it, not one apology came from her mistake. Never checked on us. I did not get her name but she is the only caucasian waitress there. Left very unhappy and if I return there and she happens to be our server .. I will definitely ask for someone else or leave. Simple.

Pretty impressed, wait staff was super friendly and quick. I got the dinner combo for $13 it came with salad, miso, and rice plus 6 sashimi and a spicy tuna roll. The cuts of the sushi were a little rough, but nothing too bad. Restaurany and bathrooms were clean. I will be coming back!

This is my go-to spot for sushi in Turlock. There are others in Turlock that are good too, but this one is also very convenient next to the freeway. The wait staff are friendly and wait time isnt too long. My favorite roll that I get every time has to be the Titanic!

Good sushi. My brother lived in Japan for a while and he says the nigiri here is pretty good. I prefer the salmon sashimi and the yellow fin tuna. We make trips from Patterson to here when we do not know what to eat. They cannot accommodate large groups, but have speedy and friendly service.

We decided to try it for the first time today and it was absolutely terrible!They gave me the wrong bento box, the teriyaki chicken tasted old and dried out the tempura was greasy and tasteless and the sushi dragon roll was disgusting, I definitely will not be going back again.

Usually I would rate this place higher, but Im basing this solely on my visit a couple of nights ago. My niece and I arrived and were seated at the only table left, the place was pretty packed. We placed our drink order...water and hot tea. The tea smelled and tasted like SEASEME SEEDS. WTH. Totally disgusting. We placed an order for the cucumber salad appetizer, and each one of us got a roll. The cucumber salad came and it was FOUR slices of cucumber. The rest was seaweed, and some rice noodles in what tasted like Miso soup. Absolutely horrible. We couldnt eat it. The rolls came and the flavor was good but they werent cut properly. Most of my pieces werent cut all the way thru, so everything fell apart while trying to separate them. Some pieces were cut too thin, while others were too big. The sushi chefs were really young (they looked to be about 12 years old lol) and clearly inexperienced. Im sure the presentation will improve with practice. Flavor wise, the rolls were good, but they were really hard to each with chopsticks as everything fell apart while trying to separate the pieces. It looked like a child had been sitting at my seat making a mess. Ill go back, but Ill never order tea or the cucumber salad ever again. I hope someone that has the ability to make some changes at this establishment reads this post...they need some work.

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for some time now. The owners and my parents have grown to become close friends with each other. The service, food, and atmosphere have never wavered since the restaurants humble beginnings. In other words: an amazing restaurant experience. Sushi Cuisine was my first time trying sushi. I still have difficulty finding a place that can match or exceed it. All of Turlocks sushi restaurants (Sushi Garden, Fuji Sushi, Samurai Sushi) have excellent food and service, but Sushi Cuisine is my ground-zero of sorts. A family dinner is usually decided upon to go here. Excellent maguro (tuna) and unagi (eel). Highly recommended.
