This quaint Sushi restaurant in Duarte offers traditional sushi and Japanese dishes that are fresh and savory. The crew takes a healthy afternoon (siesta) break before resuming operations in the afternoon. There was one waiter, who held his own. Although an order was mixed up, he quickly remedied it. He was always smiling and thanking the customer, a major plus in service. The menu could use with added hot tea varieties and I recommend some brown rice for those customers watching their glucose intake. Other than that, this is a great place to enjoy a savory meal!

Service was okay. The ambiance was lackluster. I was ignored for the first few mins. No one said Hi, Welcome, or acknowledged my existence. They had a total of 8 people inside. When asked of I needed help, I said I was here to pick up an order. After I gave my card, I got more acknowledgement. Not sure why I bothered tipping. Food was OKAY. There are better options else where.

Great Japanese food. They have very well done sushi here. When they first opened few years ago, we were amongst the first to patron this place.The husband and wife team opened this restaurant. I heard that the chef was a sushi chef at a Las Vegas hotel. The wife was very friendly. Every time we went to eat there, she always got something new for us to try. We have been frequenting this restaurant for a long time.The sushi are very fresh and the fishes they used here are the best quality. I have never been disappointed eating here. I have tried everything with their all you eat menu.Unfortunately, after covid hit, the restaurant no long offers all you can eat option. But the sushi are still very good and fresh. The only thing is that the prices have gone up quite a bit. A sashimi bowl with rice costs more than $28. With no indoor dining, the outdoor dining option is like the fast food joint with a few chairs to sit after ordering the food. This is not a good dining experience. Maybe we should wait for the the restaurant to reopen for in door dining before going back to eat here.

We were looking for a new place to try and found through groupon. The sushi was great and the ambiance of the place is nice. Its smaller in size and is more on the relaxed side, which I prefer. We did have get our servers attention more than once though to refill our drinks and get the check. The staff was very nice and the place was very clean.

Cute little spit for sushi in Durate. Very affordable and their service was top-notch. They have real wasabi which was so yummy! The miso soup was fine- nothing too amazing. The atmosphere was quaint and parking was accessible.

First time visiting Sushi Fire. Enjoyed my visit with family. Ordered 6 different sushi rolls and a bento box. Failed to take a picture lol but trust they were all good. Ordered the Dynamite roll as an app - delicious! Ordered an Echigo beer, since it was the first time I noticed this beer at a Japanese restaurant. Wow was it worth the price!The staff was very friendly, professional and accommodating. Thank you!Overall, had a really good experience at this restaurant. Ill be back.

This is a very American Sushi place rather than a Japanese one. You will find things like mayo and cream cheese in their sushi. The food tastes good and the staff is very nice, but not the place if you’re looking to authentic Japanese sushi.

This is my daughters favorite restaurant. The food is fantastic and the service is excellent. Sushi Fire is 1 of very few places that good service was a standard. Theres been too many places that I have been to that good service was exclusively given to Asian patrons.

This restaurant has brought a unique combination of haute cuisine in a rather noisy yet personal setting. The service is also personal and professional. The kitchen has French influences and the chefs are high on taste. We took the menu and were not disappointed by it. I will definitely remember the clam showder. Just pay attention to what to do: the Mary chicken we ordered for our son was a bit too spicy, but overall its a matter of taste. Would definitely come back here.

This is a cute little Japanese restaurand I had a very nice bento Box with tempura Chicken teriyaki along with rice and A lovely miso soup and A couple Of shrimp tempura and they had a lovely selection of sushi and the quality of the food was superb and the care they took of us avas was also superb and it was a very Warm and welcoming location with great food.

How are there so many good reviews?? The reviews made me turn around and go back to this place and waste $54 I have never tasted such fishy sashimi and the blue crab hand roll was hot and had no flavor .. I had a 20 wait and I was the only customer the chef came in but the owner was cooking maybe that was the difference or maybe this place is just no good but unfortunately I will not spend another $50 or more trying to figure it out

I came here with a friend and we were able to sit outside on their patio in the lovely weather. The service was fantastic and attentive. The sushi was very tasty and flavorful. I had a rainbow sashimi and one that the waitress suggested and both came out delicious. For the cherry on top, I asked for another roll and gave the chef carte blanche to make what they felt. It was another delicious fantastic roll! My friend was happy with their order as well and we both enjoyed their customer service. In all, the patio was a safe dining experience with delicious food and great service. In these trying times, I would gladly suggest people try this place for sushi.

I love this place. I come here often during lunch as well as several of my colleagues. Everything Ive ordered has been amazing. The Volcano Sashimi and angel roll are my favorites. Service is good too. They are quick . It is not the fanciest inside but its very clean and a great place for quality sushi.

Pretty good sushi restaurant. Place was not too busy at all on a Friday night but if you are after 7pm youll probably have to wait. Good prices for LA, although not cheap. Food is pretty tasty and if you dont know what to order just ask.My only problem has been the service. Its not bad but its a bit weird once you enter the restaurant. Both times weve gone no one greeted us and then when we were seated two different people began waiting on us which was also a bit strange.

My go-to sushi spot: 😍 Most people I know frequent Show Sushi but the quality does not come close to Sushi Fire! The price is unbeatable for the quality you get. All sushi rolls are designed to complement flavors so you dont even need soy sauce. Service can get a little slow during peak hours (duh) so plan your visits strategically to maximize your experience! 😜

Dont understand the great reviews. Food trickled out super slowly despite the restaurant not being busy. We repeatedly had to ask for one of our rolls, and when my mother finally got her soup, it was so salty that it was inedible. Of course, no one was checking on us, so we had to practically shout at the server to get his attention. He did have the soup remade, so points for him there, but... The food was disappointing, to say the least. Wont be coming back.

On the arrival, the first thing that welcomes you is a styrofoam wall dividing half of the restaurant, used no heater and served us in plastic utensils, cups ect, server was not being hygienic in which we saw her multiple times washing her hands with the water from the soda machines, DO NOT RECOMMEND

My FAV sushi spot ! Always treat you like they know you and it brings you back. Once you go they remember what you like and offer to start making it ! I only eat the Seared Eel skin, Makarel and Spicy Tuna rolls. I like my eel skin & Makarel seared and topped with Chives and garlic lemon juice !

Sushi Fire is a great Sushi restaurant to find in Duarte.1st off: Dont judge a book by its cover -- however, it is a very small restaurant. Theres not usually a wait here, but it can get crowded quickly.2nd: the sushi IS GOOD QUALITY, but their AYCE (all-you-can-eat) lacks the variety of some other local places.3rd: the AYCE is significantly more expensive than other places...4th: the servers are quick and friendly5th: the sushi chefs are very talented and definitely know how to stage their food.My biggest flaw for this place is the lack of variety as most of their rolls tend to be the same drenched in different sauces (not always a bad thing).Try this place if you are nearby, but dont go out of your way. Its nice to have a local Sushi restaurant in our little city with consistently good sushi.
