This sushi place feels homey. The owner/chef was really nice and accommodating! Even the cashier was patient with us because it took us a little while to order. Our experience here was awesome! Would love to come again when we’re in town again. Thank you!

Weve come here twice now in the last week, and its the best sushi Ive had in a long time. Some very unique takes on traditional sushi, as well as some completely fresh, new recipes! Really enjoying this find!Update: As of 2/4/23, weve been here three times now. Each time Im more impressed with the flavors!

Delicious! I almost didn’t stop because of the sketchy shopping center. Lemme tell you, this is my top 3 favorite places ever for sushi. Highly recommend!

Everything about this restaurant is amazing! The food, atmosphere, and service were unmatched! It is also very clean and tidy! I ordered the Jessica Alba Roll and it was fresh and satisfying🔥

This location has become my new go-to sushi spot. The quality of the fish is amazing. It has the melt in your mouth type of feel. The owner steve is very kind and is good at making recommendations so feel free to ask the questions! The chirashi is amazing. It has a little bit of everything all in one bowl! Definitely recommend it. The salmon and blue crab carpaccio was delicious. The crunch ell blue crab is their specialty and it tasted great. The owner definitely knows what he is doing. The parking lot is small but there is additional parking in the back.

Giving this place a try. We were welcomed by Steve, the owner, and made feel welcome and part of the family. The sushi is plated nicely. The sushi is not small and it’s DELICIOUS! We will definitely be coming here again.

Takeout is super easy with them! And their fish is just amazingly fresh. I tried their Salmon Fusion Roll. The Salmon, spicy tuna, and yellow tail was delicious! The rice was perfect. You’re not going to regret checking this new place out 😋

Came here with my family over the weekend, great place to come have sushi. The way they present the sushi on the plates is really nice and Steve is really nice and makes you feel very welcomed to be there and have a meal. Also tried the 3 item BTB and the beef bulgolgi, chicken cutlet and chicken teriyaki were really good!

The service here is 5 stars They were very nice and welcoming which is super important. The server was nice to everyone who was dining and the chef was also very engaging and kind to all the customers. The rolls were buy one get one half off which was nice.

Stop what your doing and go here now, by far one of the best and freshest sushi Ive had in la, Ive eaten at almost every sushi spot in the valley and some more high end places in Beverly hills and this place blows them out the park. This hole in the wall place is a diamond in the valley. The owner chef Steve is a master of his craft and a cool person to talk to, I want to keep this place a secret but this place is to good to keep to my self. Trust me you wont regret it.

Wanted to try Sushi Goken since they replaced the previous sushi restaurant, and theyre excellent! The owner is friendly, knowledgeable, and most of all talented at making great dishes. Loved their special rolls and appetizers.

I had the 8 PC omakase (chefs choice) and everything was amazing, will be going back. The only feedback I can give was sometimes the natural flavor of the fish was hard to taste in some of the pieces, but the fish were very high quality and prepared very professionally

I was really nervous before coming because I was worried it wouldnt be as great as Maki Yaki, but I was proven so wrong, this place has excellent service, fast and efficient chefs and the owner Steve is super friendly and accommodating, definitely coming back, probably this weekend! 🤗🤗🤗

We yelped for a new sushi spot and randomly stumbled on Sushi Goken. When we arrived we were instantly welcomed by Steve (owner) and Henry. They were so welcoming and made great recommendations. We had the Tuna Sashimi, Rainbow Roll, Shrimp All Out, and the Lemon Tail Roll. Everything was DELICIOUS and you can tell everything is so fresh. My favorite is as the Lemon tail roll! We will definitely be coming here again!

Cannot overstate how thrilled I am that this sushi spot opened up walking distance from my house. Stopped in for dinner the first time and now back again for lunch. This is some of the best sushi I have had and I regularly eat at amazing sushi restaurants all over LA and beyond. The owner is so kind and personable and is truly talented. He has created some very unique and delicious rolls and the quality of the sushi and sashimi is excellent. Must order are the Crunch Eel Blue Crab Roll, The Mexi Cali Roll, The Cajun Roll, and the Albacore sushi. The chef adds a sauce to the albacore that has a slight sweetness to it that is amazing. Please try this spot if you are in the area, you will not regret it. :)
