This place is an absolute gem! A little hidden nook in a shopping center. If you are a fan of poke bowls, they are excellent! The wonton soup is killer! Loaded with wontons and veggies. I have tried quite a few of their dishes, and every item I have had left me full and my taste buds satisfied! You seriously cannot go wrong. The owner is such a sweetheart and puts her heart into everything she serves you.

It is my personal opinion that this place serves the freshest sushi and dishes in Salinas. The staff are friendly and have a personable type of customer service. The store is always kept clean and organized.My recommendation is to have a sit down, grab a poke bowl, and enjoy the atmosphere.

The customer service here is excellent. The workers are friendly and talkative. Theyre food taste fresh and great and comes out faster than expected for how busy they can get. They also sell snacks that your usually have to go to H Mart or a specialized marker for and, though not a large selection, its decently priced. Definitely recommend going if youve never been! Keep in mind, though, its fairly small inside and there is limited seating.

Damn. Best Asian food in Monterey County. Try the Poke Bowl: it’s a taste bomb. Tempura Roll is great too.

Weirdly pan-Asian menu for a place called Sushi Hut: Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Hawaiian, as well as Japanese. Was really skeptical but drove all the way out because of the red bean buns which they sadly dont have anymore.Lots of odd, non-authentic offerings like ha gau soup and deep fried ha gau.Frying the skins ruined the ha gao imho, but the insides were good, with whole shrimp in the filling, not a fish ball with shrimp pieces, though the insides were bland and underseasoned.Part of the appeal of ha gao is the sticky, chewy skin, so deep-frying them ruined them texturally. I think if they were pan-fried so you had both crunchy and chewy textures it would have been tastier and more successful. Also I missed not having red vinegar for them. The gyoza/mandoo sauce they give you does not go with seafood imho.They also have a market with snack-y items, making it resemble a Lees Sandwiches more than a takeout joint. They were stocked with 8 out of 10 Sailor Moon Ocean Bomb flavors (Pluto and Saturn are hard to find still) and a decent cross-section of Dragon Ball Z Ocean Bombs.It was still hopping half an hour before closing and parking was tight.Would try again if ever in the area again.

They have fresh sushi thats made by then ready for take out. The beef ramen is also very good I would recommend. Lots of snack options too.

I came here during a trip & I’m very happy I did. If I am ever in the area again, I will be coming back. The customer service was good & genuine. They also had different selections of snacks and drinks in addition to their food menu. It seems like a small mom & pop restaurant so I’d recommend to support over & over again.

I’m not sure who the new young guys are but they are REALLY skimping out on the food, normally when the owner makes the food they are very good portions, but these new guys that were there only gave us half of the food that is normally in a poke bowl and still charged us the same price, it was less than half of the rice that in normally served, and everything else was halved.

I have been craving takoyaki and jasmine tea for so long, I was surprised to find both here! I ordered online through their website and came to pick up my food. They asked me if I had ordered and promptly handed me my order.The staff was so friendly and eager to serve! It was a wonderful pick-me-up to be greeted with a smile and excitement after a long day.I definitely recommend Sushi Hut for anyone looking for a delicious meal and a smile.
