The crispy spinach with albacore is not always on the menu but one of the best starter dishes I have ever had at a sushi place.

Excellent sushi. Made fresh right in front of us. Great selection and friendly fast service. We have been several times and are looking forward to returning.

If you love sushi like I do 🍣... than you should definitely stop by Katsuya in Encino! I promise you wont be disappointed 😆. The Albacore melts in your mouth no chewing required..lol honestly everything is great here! I would definitely recommend Katsuya Encino.#Katsuya #Encino #sushi #localbusiness #🍣 #ronensaruri

This is my favorite sushi place in the valley. Today I had the pleasure of being served by Kelly and she was the sweetest and the most welcoming. She was incredibly patient and had a lot of knowledge on the menu. Amazing asset to the company.

This was our third time here but my first to pay attention to details,There was 4 of us and we ordered alot ! Along with alcohol, beer and desert … i think the price is fair.Their sushi 🍣 sizes are bite size hence much reasonably priced compared to some other places we have been to.It is always packed but the good thing is that the management is always there to get you seated ! And for some reason you do not feel pressured to leave. We were there for almost 2.5 hours !Our wait time was like 10 min on a Friday night.Another good thing about this place is their air conditioning, and the fact that you do not smell the Fish ! Again comparing to other Sushi places.Taste wise i really liked almost everything that we ordered from creamy salmon, crispy rice tuna, spicy tuna, hand rolls and many more and the taste was good.Overall i recommend this place ; BUT i just wish the OWNER wouldn’t lecture the workers on a busy Friday night in front of all customers . That was unnecessary and it didn’t look good. What happens in Family stays in Family.

Food is always on point. However the service in the last few times have left much to be desired. Last night, as we were eating with about half our rolls and sushi left, less than an hour after we were sat and less than 45 minutes after starting to receive our order, the waitress asked us if we we’re going to order dessert. As we were still eating, we said no and she unceremoniously dropped the check. We were a little perplexed but kept eating what we had left of our dinner (2 rolls, a sashimi plate, salads). Every 10 minutes she would come back to grab the check, when we were still actively eating, even going as far as clear our plates when we were still working on the food on our table. We finished up at about 80 minutes after being sat (an hour after food started arriving) when the hostess told us they had reservations waiting and they needed the table. If the expectation for a reservation is to have people out within an hour - that needs to be communicated ahead of time.If you want a quick quality sushi - make a reservation and eat quickly. If you actually want to enjoy your meal and not be rushed out - I’d recommend any of the other high quality sushi restaurants in the valley.
