I have been here quite a few times already and every time Ive gone, its never failed to impress me or my friends! Its such a clean, cozy space and the service is incredible. All the staff are very welcoming and so polite. The sushi here is incredibly delicious! The O Toro was the highlight for me! It was so fatty and melted in my mouth. Very little chewing required. All the dishes were presented beautifully and really showcased the skill of the kitchen staff. I highly recommend this place for sushi lovers!

Can’t go wrong, very nice and friendly waitress, good service and very good food. Who ever makes their sauce in every dish, starting with the salad dressing is very satisfying. My second time going there, every time we go north from the Bay Area. Bathroom is also clean. That is the first thing I look in a restaurant.

That was the Best Bento box I have ever had!! The tempura was perfectly battered. The chicken was SO tender and Delicious!!The service was excellent!! My grandson had the special chopsticks set up and dropped it. Our waitress quickly picked up the dirty one and gave him a new one right away. She was Amazing!! We will absolutely go there again!! LOVES IT!!

My family and I love Sushi King! The sashimi is high quality and always fresh. The chefs are professional and refreshingly creative. We are continuously impressed each time we go. The portion sizes are good, definitely more affordable than Napa. This place never disappoints.

Id have to say that this lil sushi place is great quality. The fishes are fresh and I usually dont pay attention but their fish is fresh and the mackarel was exceptional. The flavor was there and it leaves a pleasant memory. The food presentation was nice to look at and left me impressed. We will be returning. I found a hidden gem here.

Oh so delicious! We tried several rolls and all were good. The chef here is fantastic at combining flavors. The fish is fresh and clean. Staff are very friendly. Totally worth a try if youre in the mood for sushi or rolls.

Decided to pop in before getting my nails done. Server was super nice and attentive. Clean, lovely atmosphere. I came in right before they closed for lunch. They didn’t rush anyone out the door. Great flavor and taste!!! Sushi was fresh and delicious. I forgot to take picture of salmon. I was not disappointed!!! First time ordering tempura, it was hot but I think I prefer sushi and will stay away from tempura in the future.

The sushi was fresh and delicious. The Hamachi sashimi was so flavorful! The salmon lover roll and white lover rolls were also amazing. The stars of the evening were the salmon and o Toro (fatty blue fin tuna.) We were so excited to eat it, I completely forgot to take a picture. Easily the best sushi in the area.

I promise you wont be disappointed if you get a binto box with anything teriyaki! The beef teriyaki came out like a steak and was filled with flavor. Also got the cowgirl roll and a tiger roll, both were phenomenal! Highly recommend going as soon as you get the chance.

Waitresses where really nice, and helpful, food was good but over priced. My salad for example was $4.50. It was just a half a head of lettuce and dressing. Very disappointing. Also my 12oz soda was $3. If I would have know I would have saved the $8 and gone to safeway for my drink and salad.

I have been frequenting this sushi bar for about 8 years now but after this last visit I will never be returning again. The quality has drastically gone down along with the service. I brought a client in for lunch and ordered the salmon sashimi which was probably the lowest grade of fish I have been served in a sushi restaurant. The salmon had more fat than than meat and was clearly farmed. The Hawaiian poki salad was more onions than fish. Then when I asked for some ponzu sauce the chef spilled it and it splashed everywhere...including all over my white shirt. The chef then proceeded to hand the container still dripping ponzu just adding to the mess. When we asked for extra napkins he basically ignored us and I was forced to retrieve extra napkins from a nearby table. When I informed the waiter what happened he just looked at me with a blank stare. I asked for some club soda to clean up with and he apologised for not having club soda but still not a mention of the ponzu covering me. He did exchange the sake that had ponzu spilled(only after me pointing it out) in it but still no apology. At this point I would have left the restaurant but was there with a client so I bit my tongue and stuck out the remainder of the meal. I was then handed a check for the full balance of the meal and still no mention of what happened. So between the raise in prices, the degraded quality of the fish, and the HORRIBLE service I wont come back or recommend this place to anyone.I might mention that I had a similar experience there a few years back when a waitress spilled soy sauce on me but the experience was totally the opposite and she handled it well and was so nice. I kept going back because the quality and service was good.

Not happy with the quality of food and presentation. For the dollar amount they give less rolls and it taste like your basic sushi. The quality of rice matters when making a sushi roll and I suggest you make the investment of buying better rice since your competitors do. I order take out and Im glad i did because the inside is not a pleasant place to eat with the old carpet smell. The staff has excellent service but their chef needs to deliver on his rolls since mine look very sloppy. Overall I would not return and I hope they improve the restaurant.

This is a very pleasant environment with a decent menu. What I like most is that it is not busy, even during peak lunch and dinner hours. The ambience is cozy, not loud or brightly lit like some restaurants. The staff is very friendly and attentive.The food is delicious. The sashimi is fresh. The presentation is elegant.I highly recommend a visit. Look through the menu and order a familiar item and perhaps order something new to try.

Favorite sushi place in the Bay. I’ve had more expensive sushi which was good but the quality and reasonable prices here make it my go to. New head chef changed it from a rim of the mill sushi joint to a legit destination restaurant I go to when I feel like splurging a bit.

Very nice place. The servers were great! We were greeted quickly and politely and had great service throughout our dinner. Our group had a total of 8 rolls - 4 of their regular rolls and 4 of the special rolls. Our bill came out to $93, pretty reasonably priced for sushi.My recommendation: try the crunch roll! Different than other crunch rolls Ive had and my favorite I tried! Only $6.95

Sushi is so good here! The chef has “chef special” where he prepares one dish at a time and sends to your table. Always fresh. Tempura is always crispy. Service is really good as well.. Would recommend going here for a quick sushi fix.

This was the worse sushi place I have ever been. The waitress told me that the imitation crab can be substituted with real crab. When I took one bite, it was still an imitation crab and it tasted nasty. We called the attention of the waitress and told her about it, I even said I will pay for it...She took the plate and went inside to tell the sushi chef. She came back to our table and told us that they cannot take the sushi roll of our bill. In the mean time the sushi chef approached our table and tried to explain.... again ....I said I will pay for it. This was not the waitress fault because it was the sushi chef that told her to return the plate to our table. Right there and then the worse customer service.I also would like to add that this restaurant has very dirty restrooms.

Filthy! Walked in on a Friday evening around 7:15pm. They were a little busy which is understandable for a Friday night. The waitress greeted us and asked if it was OK to sit us next to the door since there were few tables. We obliged and then started to realize our mistake. She asked us what we wanted to drink and we told her hot tea. She returned 2 minutes later with water, no tea. That was the last we heard from our waitress. Another family came in, got seated, and even had their order taken before us. We also saw another customer report to the waitress that the silverware had accidentally hit the floor and that they need to bring it all to be washed since they were now dirty. In addition to our sticky table, their menus were filthy and also covered in dried soy sauce. There was much dirt on their carpets and by 7:50pm and no tea or other services, we just up and left. So disappointed . . . even their water tasted like it came straight from the tap without filtering. Sorry, but Sushi King should really be named Sushi Joke!

Service was wonderful. We came in a quiet part of the day, but the staff were very attentive and seem to care very much about how you like the food. We had the tonkotsu ramen, a few sushi rolls, gyoza and tempura veggies, and it was all delicious. Portion sizes are huge as well. The restaurant seemed very disorganized. The man who seated us took our drink orders, then we were asked again by another man, THEN asked again by the man who seated us. I received my food approximately 10-15 minutes before my boyfriend received his 2 rolls. I ordered sesame chicken - my chicken looked like it had deep frier residue on it and tasted like rubber. My boyfriends sushi tasted like it was pre-made, kind of like dollar sushi usually is. We had to ask for refills and didnt receive them for 5-10 minutes (with only two other tables in the restaurant). When we told our waiter that we didnt really enjoy the food, a lady, who I assume is the manager, came out and asked us if we enjoyed our food. We both said no, but she didnt offer any sort of replacement meal or apology. Instead, she immediately handed us the bill.TL;DR: food was bad and customer service was worse.

Went to get some sushi to go. Cook and cashier had masks on and everything looked good momentarily as I paid for my order. However, when I looked in the back the prep/cleaning worker had no mask on. Also the chefs phone rang, he answered it without gloves, hung up and continued to touch the sushi rolls he was preparing without washing his hands or wearing gloves. With or without the covid 19 health regulations I dont want anyone touching my food after answer their phone without proper hygiene.

I’ve been here once, probably more than a year ago, and didn’t like the food at all so never went back. But last night, I decided to try it again after reading some reviews. So.... the food was great!!! I ordered yakitori... it was a very generous portion and it was the best yakitori I’ve ever had! And I have been to so many japanese restaurants in the past 20+ years! They used zucchini instead of the typical onions and bell pepper. I am not a big fan of zucchini, but the zucchini tasted so good, I could just have an order of it😃! The chicken was good too! It had a lot of flavor. I also ordered sashimi and the fish were fresh. Service was fast too! And the waitress was very nice and friendly. Price is reasonable, except for the bottle of sake, so didn’t order one even though I was soooo craving for it, I love Japanese food so I will definitely be back to try their sushis and all the other items on their menu.

Ive had a majority positive experiences here, but there was a poor service experience too (just the one time during a slow evening and service was just really really slow). Sushi is of above average quality. Pricing is about on par with what you might expect to pay for rolls, nigiri and sashimi. They did recent start serving Ramen which is nice.

I’ve been coming to this place with family and friends for a good while now and can’t believe I’m only posting something now. The best Japanese restaurant in the area, hands down! The food here is wonderfully cooked and the service is always friendly and prompt. This place does get busy (which tells you something already) and so sometimes service lags but only for a moment...naturally. The sushi is fantastic and the chefs behind the sushi bar are as good as the best bartenders out there socially. Don’t be afraid to knock back a few sake shots with them or try to out drink the head sushi chef...I’ve never seen that guy go down. Come, be a little patient, and try the monkey brains!!! Soooo good! Bon appetit!!!

Tried this place for the first time and the Golden gate roll that was supposed to be the same as the common Lion King RolI was so nasty, I couldnt stomach eating any of it. There was no salmon just some damn skin, they added what looked like mayo and there was no damn avocado. I literally paid for some imitation crab with mayo. Smfh. Horrible waste of money. The California roll was no better, my kid couldnt even eat it, she kept telling me is tasted funny. $40 down the toliet..

This is hands down one of my favorite sushi places . I come get my haircut in the shopping center and i always make a stop here the sushi is great as well as the staff. You can sit at the bar and watch them make the sushi which is very fun . I prefer this to any sushi in Napa or St. Helena.

And dont go into bathroom unless you like seeing for food stocked next to the toilet that has just been lit up... taste. No other sushi place for a while around here. Aint much else going on in Green Valley, what with Applebees closed. Wait, did I just say I missed Applebees? Yes I did, because its Green Valley! This place is always late with your food and apologetic. I saw other tables waiting endlessly for their sushi only to be told by the waitress that their food was late because they had a lot of to go orders. Not our problem! Do yourself a favor and go to Palm Thai next door. Clean and much friendlier service and definitely tastier food.
