Best sushi in Laguna Niguel. Best sushi in Orange County South. The hand rolls were delicious. The Kizuna roll was very delicious. Definitely coming back. Staff was amazing. Excellent customer service 👏 thank you

To be honest, I hadnt expected that it was such a great restaurant before actually dining here. It was way above my expectation.I ate sashimi lunch, which was $22, excluding tax. Miso soup which was served first immediately movedme. The rice was excellent, which is equivalent to top quality one that I ate in Japan. There were about 12 pieces of sashimi, which were superb.The clerks were very generous and friendly.Overall, its 100 out of 5 lol$22, which is 3300 yen, seemed expensive to me first. Its not actually. I could accept it even if this were at the same price in Japan! Considering how expensive everything is around here, its such a great deal.

Nice small restaurant. Chilled sake is smooth. Chefs Premium sushi with salad and miso soup is very nice. Sushi meat is very fresh. Softshell crab is also very fresh, no fishy smell at all.Service is very nice and finished dishes were removed very quickly.

They are welcoming and have attention to detail! The portions were generous and excellent quality! They were the tastiest rolls I have ever had! I had the double shrimp roll and the. Sashimi cucumber special. It was a wonderful experience! I enjoyed a fabulous meal and evening! Thank you!

Great sushi spot in Aliso Viejo! We ordered a blue crab hand roll, tuna hand roll, blue crab cut roll, tuna roll, shrimp tempura roll, volcano roll, crispy rice and spicy tuna.The service was excellent and very attentive. Food came out fast. Quality of fish was excellent. Except the spicy tuna an crispy rice had a fishy taste which might signify it being left out.Otherwise great spot!

We stopped in because it had an overall 5 star rating. This is not a 5 star spot. While the Orion (beer) took us back to reminiscing of our time spent in Japan and the sushi was fresh tasting, it was overpriced for the poor quality rolling. We ordered 5 rolls, miso and soba. The rolls had plenty of fish and vegetables, but they were all rolled loosely and falling apart. There was no way to pick them up properly and our time spent together was effected as we were frustrated over the struggle. The soba was also extremely bland, but that could’ve been regional. We will continue our search for a go-to sushi spot.

Just my absolute favorite sushi spot. Service is excellent even while seated at a table, not at the bar. Toro taku isnt on the menu, but holy cow its delicious.

Second time here they always deliver! All delicious!Tiny little hole in the wall in small strip mall, but its good service, fast w only a tiny glitch not getting water even tho we asked, everything else is great! Enjoy!

I found my little part of Japan ! We were looking for Japanese food as good as our previous sushi bar WAS several years ago...and we did, right here ! The place is smaller, but more cozy, than the previous sushi bar, and closer to home also. It was nice to see Masa again after all this time, and we look forward to many more meals with Masas and Akios expert preparations ! どうもありがとうございます !!!

The sushi was amazing with generous portions but what really sets Sushi Kızuna apart are the people that work there. They greet every person that comes in, they are courteous beyond anything Ive ever experienced, and they are absolutely dedicated to making you feel welcome. I just hate we dont live in the area because I would be a regular there every week. Truly one of the best dining experiences Ive ever had.

Ive been eating sushi around the world since I was 12 years old. Thats 41 years. This place is top notch. Very clean, ran by a beautiful Japanese family. You will find many Japanese patrons here, which speaks volumes for the sushi. Friendly, fresh, warm and inviting. This place is just awesome! In fact, we are heading there for lunch today.

Amazing hospitality, the chefs and staff were wonderful to talk to. Had a fun little photo book for those unfamiliar with different rolls.Watching Chef Masa was an enjoyment only trumped by the food itself. We will be back!

Nice atmosphere and delicious sushi with very friendly, upbeat sushi chefs and wait staff. There seem to be a lot of regulars who go there, but we were made to feel welcome as first-time customers.

One of my favorite Japanese restaurants. The owner/chef makes and serves you sushi at the bar. The tempura is always excellently done. There are lots of rolls to choose from. The staff is friendly and attentive, they will make you feel very welcome.

Absolutely incredible food. Every single thing was exceptional. 10/10. I tried the Angel roll, California, Philadelphia, spicy tuna, the seaweed salad, chicken karaaga, and the takoyaki. The canned Oolong tea taste like bong water but everything else was amazing. 10/10. I dont even have any photos cuz I ate it too fast.

We waited for 15 min, and we were pretty much ignored. No walk-ins even if there are seats available at the sushi bar.My suggestion would be to make a reservation well in advance or order takeout.

Sushi cuts were small. Especially considering the prices. Ordered the omakase sushi dinner and it came out all together on plate. Looked premaid. Wasnt made fresh to order by sushi chef standing right in front of me, which is what I am used to when I sit at the bar. Sushi pieces looked to have been pre-made earlier in the day, then refrigerated. Service was good but otherwise I wasnt impressed.

This place is phenomenal. If you know Japan you will not be disappointed. Friend and I ordered the pork filet katsu with mixed tempura dinner combination not expecting it to be enough, we ordered crispy rice topped with spicy tuna and didnt realize our meals also came with miso and white rice. It filled us way up and had plenty of leftovers. Great service, amazing food!!! It is a small place so good luck coming here during a rush. I could see how this is definitely worth takeout as well though.

I have been here at least 2 dozen times since they opened. Most of it has been take out due to the pandemic. Me and my family feel fortunate a great sushi restaurant is in Aliso. The food is stellar, sushi fresh and to top it off, the service is super friendly and they treat you like a relative. We are excited to anytime we have a meal from Kizuna and we look forward to the next visit.

Started ordering takeout on a weekly basis as soon as they reopened during the pandemic. It was worth the 30 min drive each way given how fresh the fish is. However, we have had 3 not so great experiences in a row, now that they are serving in restaurant. The worst was this past weekend - made a reservation for 2 people at 6pm. Requested sushi bar (they have 8-10 seats), but were told it wasn’t available. We arrived at 6 and the sushi bar was empty, so we asked again and were told it was all reserved. When we left at 6:50, only one couple had arrived to be seated at the sushi bar. So much for being treated like a loyal customer! There are 2 great sushi places that have now opened (and another opening soon) and they are much closer to us.

Another little gem in south OC. Chef is Japanese +1 cred. Relatively standard sushi fare executed well with high quality ingredients. Servers are friendly and accommodating. Would recommend.

This was my first time here. Other guests tod me that the food was great and even then I was surprised at the excellence. I ordered two kinds of Salmon and a Rainbow Roll. My first bite of plain Salmon sushi was the best Salmon I have ever tasted. The Lemon Salmon roll was just as good with a slightly different flavor. The Rainbow Roll was just as good. The service was excellent and very friendly and polite at the same time. I am only here for a couple of weeks, but I bet Im back at least three more times before I have to leave.And the price of the entire meal was FAR less than I expecyted!All in all it was THE BEST!

1- You always ask yourself do I really want to drive 30 min to have dinner to just go next door to a local place.2- Food tasting is very subjective but you know when you eat a good bite.The answer is:I am willing to drive to Kizuna every nightWhy you ask?The Tuna Toro & Yellow tail belly taste is fabulous. it melts in your mouth.I loved the selection and the attention to details.The Sushi looks like Art.The warm Sushi Rice makes all the difference in the world.(Note: Warm Rice means the restaurant is using good fish, bad fish will smell on warm rice)This is the prefect place to have a nice dinner with a client (and Impress them) or a family dinner for a top quality Sushi.Thank you for the wonderful Sushi.

The customer service here is amazing! I had a late night sushi craving; so I called in at 8:46 pm asking if I can place my order. The employee said yes ! I ordered the Spicy Tuna Lover and added my fav, avocado, delish! Definitely recommend 100 percent. Although closing time was minutes away my food was still very fresh.

Arrived in Aliso Viejo after a week on the east coast. I happened to find it when I was taking a walk near my hotel and stopped by. It has been open for a year and a half, but I am very satisfied with the fried tofu, tempura, recommended sushi, Jozen, and Kikusui. My office is nearby, so Id like to stop by again when Im on a business trip.
