Very disappointed with the customer service. I specified in my delivery order for extra sauce. When I received my order there was no sauce at all. I called the store immediately to let them know and I got hung up on. The food was all right but not worth $75 for 2 rolls and a teriyaki bowl and horrible customer service.

Fast food sushi, but absolutely delicious. Great pricing. Good variety. Very fresh. A lot of the less expensive sushi load up the rolls with rice. But Sushi Kokki has a good balance of rice to fish for the price.

DO NOT EAT HERE! Worst Service, Sushi and Prices I have EVER experienced on the Central Coast! Waiter got my Moms order wrong 2X. Manager was illiterate & rude. I drove home & called about mix-up. He actually HUNG UP on me several times. Another customer in there had ordered online but they were trying to MAKE him pick up at another location at his inconvenience. Businesses that DO NOT CARE about QUALITY of product and CUSTOMER SERVICE should be EXTINCT! Except Shrimp Tempura I THREW it ALL in the TRASH where business and all its locations belong!!!!

When I ordered, I added a miso soup for $3.50, I think, he should have told me my order came with one miso soup. I didn’t need two. He was kind but not helpful at all.The sushi has way too much rice, ridiculous amount. One of the pieces of yellowtail is completely a different color than the other . That piece does not look fresh. The quality of the salmon is inferior. I will try somewhere else next time

Well I walked in and was immediately greeted with regret of eating here. A lonely, empty dining room with 3 employees that are friendly but not super helpful. I ordered a Texas roll with spicy tuna and albacore on top. Tuna was grey and tasted old. I took two bites and couldnt keep going, however the dynamite roll was very tasty. I do not recommend this place for fresh fish. Does not seem like they throw much of the old out. Maybe their teriyaki bowls are better but this is one stop that i will not be returning to.

Taking into consideration none of us are picky eaters, the food was absolutely terrible. We ordered a yellowtail hand roll, salmon hand roll, California roll, and udon bowl, and it was very expensive for the poor quality. The hand rolls fell apart, and the fish was discolored with a grayish tint, and it was so mushy I could cut through it with a chopstick. The chicken in the udon tasted old, and the California rolls were warm as well. The food had tasted so bad we threw most of it away. We also ended up getting food poisoning from eating this as well. There were also dead bees and spiders inside of the restaurant directly next to the tables. The one star is strictly for the nice cashier.

Ive been here a couple times in the past month and thought it was very good. I ordered the meal with Teriyaki Chicken Bowl, California Roll and Miso Soup. I would like a little less rice and more vegetables in it, though it was good. Good portion size for the money.

Been there twice now, very good. Nice portions. Decently priced. We went yesterday and I ordered edammae with my dinner and never got it. It wasnt busy at the time we went, in fact we were the only other 2 beside a couple in the restaurant. I forgot about it but it should have come up with my order. No way to prove it so I ended up paying $12.28 for my California roll 😕. Ill be more careful next time and there will be a next time.

SERVICE: Stopping in Pismo, ordered online at 5:36 tempura shrimp roll, and tempura veggies and a few other items for pick up 10 min away….excited with my order after a long drive from LA. Well, it too almost 45 min finally received notification….I was informed by the store that the tempura was not avail.. they were closing down. When I arrived, they were pretty much closed down.. I had to substitute from a very limited menu. The cashier was lovely, tried to be accommodating… the owner/cook/ was not so much. Both cooks did not speak to me directly… just kept telling the cashier no.. no.. conversation I couldn’t understand.. 🤦‍♀️….FOOD:.. while tasty, the rolls were sloppy, way too much rice and not tight. Couldn’t pick up my selection without falling apart. Chicken/Avo roll Not sure what part of the chicken they used.. I did enjoy the shrimp roll.. tuna was ok.. Miso and edamame soup, pleasant.Fast Food Sushi… at high prices!I would hope you change your menu to reflect time restrictions for tempura. I see another customer had the same issue. Sorry, 🤷‍♀️

I usually get the teriyaki bows cuz they are always pretty darn good but this time I had the dynamite roll SO DELICIOUS!!!! It was seriously good I was pleasantly surprised. My friend got the vegetarian roll and tempura and said it was excellent as well.

I like Sushi Kokku. The food is reliably good, the ambiance sparkly Asian American, the prices decent. Feels a bit like a casual hometown cafe. This time I missed the prior Asian customers - it was strictly American and mostly take out. I didnt like the plastic fork for dining in.

Two stars... For friendly service and cleanliness. The rolls all tasted the same (we tried six different rolls) and the salad that was served with each roll is best described as cole slaw. It is very close to the beach which makes it very convenient, but you might be better off going a little further out.

If I were to name this place it would be Sushi Caca. The meat was mealy and it took a minute to chew. The rolls tasted like mold, and the sushi rice was definitely not sushi rice🤮. The only thing decent were the pot stickers, but its hard to mess up something frozen. The fish was also really bad quality and was also really mealy. We got the Teriaki Bowl and the Bulgogi Bowl. They looked and tasted the same the only difference was the sauce. We dont usually weite reviews but we want to save you. If you want good quality and amazing tasting sushi go to Kanpai sushi. Itll save your taste buds.

Unfortunately our experience with this food was poor. We had the veggie and tofu udon. We had to throw it away and get food elsewhere. The veggies were charred and it tasted nothing at all like an udon bowl. We will not be back.

Visiting town with my family and we were craving sushi. This was the nearest location and we are so in love with it. Sushi portions are great considering the prices. Service was great and the sushi was fantastic. Will come back whenever we visit again!

4 stars for the resturant, employees, and food. 1 star for the terrible owner/manager. Weve been going to this location and the one in Paso for over a year now. Only ever gotten the terriyaki bowl with tofu. Its quick, easy, tastes good, and affordable. Ive probably gone about twice a month, never had an issue.Went today and someone who seemed to be the owner was there. He was very rude. Normally the tofu is grilled. This time they just dumped cold tofu into the hot terriyaki bowl. Took it back in immediately and the guy started arguing with my boyfriend saying they only ever use cold tofu. Then he says it doesnt matter because we can just take it home and microwave it. My boyfriend insisted that weve never been given cold tofu before. The owner asked the cook and the cook confirmed that they normally cook the todu and just forgot. Instead of apologizing, the owner walked away in a huff. Eventually we got new tofu and went on our way.We are going back because I like the food and the staff but if this guy is there again well just leave and come back another time. He clearly has no idea how the resturant even works and doesnt care about customers at all. Weve been getting to go orders during the pandemic to support the resturant but now I feel like well wait a good while before going back. I hope the employees are treated better than the customers by this guy.

Very disappointed. We enjoy getting teriyaki bowls here and have continued coming back despite one bad experience where the owner or manager was extremely rude to us and insisted on putting cold tofu on my teriyaki bowl.Today my teriyaki bowl consisted of a moldy pepper, cold sauce, cold tofu, and and cold uncooked vegetables. The staff assumed my boyfriend did not understand Spanish and started saying rude things about him along the lines of “Stupid f—— white guy”. We are never coming back here and I hope they close down, their food has gone down hill since the staff changed and is now unsafe.

I ordered grilled chicken rolls to go and it took over 15 minutes for me to get my food. I grabbed my bag and left for work and didnt check to see if the order was correct. When I got to work I saw I hadnt been given the right order. Not sure if it was someone elses order or if he guessed I asked for a terryki chicken bowl, but there were two bowls in the bag. Not mad at the mistake but when I called to see what they could do, they wouldnt fix it. I asked for a manager and was told he wasnt working that day. Thats strange...so no one is in charge at all? They wouldnt fix it, accused me of ordering a chicken bowl and kept telling me the manager wasnt working that day. Their Yelp rating is bad so Id avoid this place unless you are dining in.

Very welcoming staff, with some of the lower priced sushi, it hits that sushi loving spot. The parking area is big but it is shared with other stores, so depending on the time and day it can be hard to find parking.
