Love this place!!! It’s a spot that I always know will have everything on point. Highly suggest sitting outside if you want to have a bit more quiet conversation. Inside seating can be louder. Otherwise, service, selection, and atmosphere is fabulous every time!!!

My girls wanted something yummy on this raining day and decided on sushi. I’ve passed by this place multiple times and finally had a chance to try it out.Long story short, the food was fresh and amazing. The service was wonderful. And, my girls and I were full.Get the flaming dragon roll. It’s literally on fire! The assortment of different specialties we ordered were great.

Was in Lodi for business, and just wanted to find someplace to eat. This intrigued me at first glance, so we decided to go here to try it out. Man, did we ever felt glad we chose this spot!Lets start with the important stuff: the food.We ordered croquettes and the sake negima(?) salmon sashimi for appetizers, the bento box and the Code.3 sushi roll for the main entrée, with a last minute choice of Todays Special Catch of the Day nigiri. What can I say aside from *chefs kisses*?! The croquettes was nicely thicc and creamy, like a real croquette instead of just fried potato in the form of croquettes. 😍 The salmon sashimi was so fresh and flavourful, it was like a wave of enjoyment with each bite! For the bento box, the included miso soup was made using what I believe is yellow or red miso, not white miso thats usually used, which gave the soup a much deeper flavor, and a different kind of umami that one normally doesnt have or associates with miso soup. Its still delicious, but I think I prefer white miso soup. The meat, though. Thats something else. For the main entrées of the bento box, we went with sesame chicken, teriyaki beef, and teriyaki salmon. The meat was actually cut all the way through, and almost melts in your mouth. The salmon was cooked to perfection, and the sauce wasnt overly done so we werent getting just sauce with some meat. The sauce was actually being an enhancement to the meat. 👌🏻The Code.3 sushi roll was like a party in my mouth! 😍 The flavors just blended so well together, and ironically paired well with the mango lemonade I chose for my drink. The little lobster salad next to the roll really helped to bring out the flavors of the roll out as Im eating the roll and the lobster salad one after the other. Then finally, the chefs catch of the day special. We think we mistakenly ate it in the wrong order for our preferences, because it started with strong flavor and ended with a light flavor (pink to white nigiri), but it still turned out so well regardless. It was just so delicious!Lastly, the staff was so helpful and attentive, and you can feel the staff wants to be there. Thats getting pretty rare these days! We love it when were consistently asked if we want refills or if everything is doing good so far, since it shows the staff want us to have a good experience with them!It was really icing on the cake when we got to meet the owner when our main entrées came out! I believe her name was Sunny? Its pretty rare when an owner of an establishment can recognize at a glance whether youve been there before or not! Weve learned a great deal about Japanese cuisine because of her passion for food. ❤️Well definitely come back again! 😊

We were a party of 15, with a reservation for lunch. We arrived around 11:30 and were seated right away. The server was friendly and efficient. Drinks were promptly served and orders taken. About half of us ordered some type of sushi roll and the rest ordered bento boxes or teriyaki /

This restaurant is family owned and managed. The owners are very polite and friendly to everyone. This is an easy location to go to and parking is plenty. Often there is a small line to get in but the wait is not too long and it well worth it. You can tell that most people there have been there many times before and they are enjoying themselves. The atmosphere is what makes this place great. We ordered our food and we got our hands full. The owner decided to dump the menu on us and I was ready for the challenge. We had several sushi dishes and sashimi along with meat and other vegetarian creations. All I can say is at this time all others have this place to follow. There is always plenty of room for competition, however, you better bring your A game because you need to know that its the experience of knowing how to run a Japanese restaurant that counts and how to put together a well-balanced menu. You will not be disappointed in the menu or the beverages selection. This is Lodi after all and wines are plenty including saki.
