The sushi and drink selection is amazing. The prices are fair, and the rolls themselves are big. My go-tos are the popcorn shrimp and grilled salmon. The mango tea is as good as the shrimp.

Sushi Kura is an Amazing family business. They are able to seat groups of 6 and have disability access. The parking can be difficult on the weekend and mid-day, but dont let that stop you from this treat. Kid friendly and family oriented. A must try!

The rolls were huge and very filling. There was one waiter but he managed to get to everyone in a timely manner. They were very busy. Would definitely recommend. I got the Kura special roll combo, would have taken a picture but I ate it too fast.

The drinks came with very little ice. The milk tea with boba comes in a can and it’s warm. The miso soup was not hot. Main entrees were really delicious. Prices are very reasonable. Service is friendly.

I love finding those places that have great service and good food. This is one of those places. Sushi is one of the only foods that I will drive some distance, for great food even if there are restaurants that sell good food of the same type near me. It is a small place, bit that is good. The only issue that I have is not with Sushi Kura. Their location in a small strip mall does not have very much parking. Other than that the Google maps does a good job getting you there. It is definitely a place that I will go again.

I ordered on Uber Eats!! Sooooo goood! Ive never had anything like this before. I ordered the Dynamite Roll, which had baked seafood on top of a California roll! 🤯😋 The most delicious thing Ive ever tasted. I also had the Gyoza and some Spam Musubi. Everything was perfect 👌🏾

It’s a cozy little spot with 7 tables, really good sashimi and friendly service. I ordered the chirashi bowl with is an assortment of sashimi on top of rice. I was pleasantly surprised to see the portion size of the sashimi. It was large enough for two bites! There were 5 different kinds of sashimi (3 pieces each) and 2 pieces of shrimp and egg. Needless to say, I’m stuffed.FYI.. This place is hard to see from the street. I discovered it months ago while at the drive thru of “Classic Grill” which is in the same plaza and finally got around to trying it. If you’re on the fence, definitely give this place a try!!

Amazing flavors, everything fresh tasting, and big portions. I ordered a bento box that is enough for two people. The inside of restaurant is a bit small, could use a facelift, but otherwise clean. Lots of pickup orders going out the door while I dined here, which tells me other people love this place as well. I will be back next time Im in LA

Solid sushi spot conveniently located near LAX. I had their $16 lunch special (fried salmon, scallop and spicy tuna roll). I was definitely stuffed. Since I’m not much of a cucumber person, next time I will try their simpler rolls. Parking is a bit tricky. They do offer (free?) ice cream after lunch which is great.

The biggest rolls Ive ever eaten! Keep that in mind when you order as we ended up getting a lot more food than we could comfortably eat. The taste was just average. It almost seemed like there was less richness to the flavor than what weve experienced elsewhere.The service was amazing! The gentleman running things up front was so busy but he always made time to check on you and had a really hospitable, fun attitude.Its a very cozy spot and seems to be popular for take-out.

OMG! The spicy tuna on crispy rice is amazing as is the red bull roll. In fact I have never had anything here that was not totally delicious. I love this place. The only draw back is dealing with the parking lot. If there are open spots I prefer parking on the street.

I was looking for a sushi spot near the airport and this place had lots of good yelp reviews. It didnt disappoint. Delicious food, friendly staff, plenty of parking. We had the mixed sashimi plate, a few orders of sushi/rolls. I even got a boba drink for dessert. Everything was yummy. Ill definitely be back next time Im in the area

So I ordered from this restaurant through postmates, thinking that a high rating would mean good quality. One of my items never even made it into my order, and the restaurant never called to say it was unavailable prior to delivery, but I was still charged. I ordered a tiger roll, which I received, and it looked great when I opened the box. I took one bite and pulled out a piece of plastic that was mixed in with the crab. I looked throughout the roll and found TWO MORE PIECES OF PLASTIC. I attempted to call the restaurant and report this issue to the restaurant, and the restaurant said that because it was delivered through postmates, that the plastic “must have been from the driver driving roughly”. I told them the sushi roll and all of my food had been undisturbed, meaning that the plastic had been incorporated into the sushi during food preparation. The lady on the phone stated “well what would you like me to do about that?” I told her I’d like a refund, as the food posed serious safety and cleanliness risks. She told me that only postmates could help me and that the restaurant was not responsible. She never ONCE even offered to have my missing item replaced or to re-make the order. If I could rate negative stars, I would. I would advise against eating here with the safety risk and lack of customer service.

WOW!!! The Baked Scallops and Sashimi were delicious and servings large. I will admit to preferring smaller slices, but the fish was sooo fresh and filled with flavor. The Spicy Tuna handroll was too big; not easily handled and fell apart. However, I will be back.

Friendly staff and quick service for a walk in order on a Saturday evening. We ordered 3 rolls, and they were all very tasty. I will note that these rolls are massive, almost overwhelmingly so - it was difficult to pick up the pieces with chopsticks because of their size.

The rolls are larger thank most locations and a packed full of meat. The lobster roll is absolutely amazing and worth it for me to drive 45min to get to. The place is very clean and services is above par! Definitely my new sushi spot!

This place is hands-off one of the best sushi restaurants that I have been to. I began to have minor doubts due to its hidden and small location, but I was blown away. Service was great and waiter was friendly. The food was exquisite and was quite simply amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone who craves sushi! I cant wait to return. The chef is amazing! I completely fell in love the freshness and quality of the sushi/rolls. Fresh food and great portion size! Sushi Kura is the BOMB! :)

All the good reviews are true. Never expected to find such good sushi in a strip mall. Even the spicy mayo is to my liking. Rolls are big. I usually eat three at most places. But I was too stuffed to finish. Great stuff. Dont pass it up.

I don’t normally leave reviews but the food was just so good and the portions were so huge I had to.We ordered delivery through grub hub and the food was excellent. The rolls were huge and the sashimi was thick sliced. The unagi bowl was very good and had furikake in it which was an added bonus. We had also asked for extra ponzu sauce and not only did we get a bunch, it was also very good.Yes we ordered way way too much for the portion size but we got a total of 5 meals out of what we ordered so it was well worth it.

A hidden gem. The quality is amazing. This place could change 4x the price if they were in Beverly Hills. Its a foodie restaurant. Found this place, they have great price point 10 to 14 dollars a roll. with a huge selection and the rolls were pretty good. After reading all the reviews, I thought I would give this place a try. The area we were during in did not smell very well and the green tea that I ordered smelled worse so I didnt even drink it. I ordered the tiger roll and am still not sure that it was fully cooked inside the shrimp tempura. The staff responded well. They said they had a new employee and apologized and took it off the bill. They also brought us free ice cream. However, between that and the tea, I will not be going back there again.

I ordered the two-piece bento which includes a scoop of white rice, miso soup, and a small salad with an extremely good dressing (maybe carrot ginger?). I added the two vegetarian options which were an avocado roll and veggie tempura. I also ordered a side of spicy garlic edamame which was amazing. Amazing sushi. Very fresh fish. Nigiri is just the right amount of rice to fish ratio. Hand rolls are chock full of fish. Sashimi pieces were very fresh and sizeable (I got the 3 piece salmon one, and in addition to those 3 huge pieces, they made a rose out of another 3-4 pieces!!). So delicious. Service was wonderful and the little cup of ice cream at the end was awesome. Will definitely come back!! Definitely recommend this hole in the wall!
