Most delicious food ever. There is nothing bad at this restaurant. I hadseveral sushi plates with rice, cucumber salad, avocado albacore, edamame, shrimp tempura, miso soup with fresh ginger beef Udon soup. Everything was fantastic and went down deliciously well with 2 large sakis. I cant wait to come back.

Very nice sushi spot in the heart of Glendora Village across the way from the ice cream shop. Staff are 5/5! Very thorough, proactive, and welcoming. Food is good, and reasonably priced. Dog friendly outdoor seating! Street parking available; also a few public parking lots eat and west of the main drag. We got veg tempura rolls, salmon nigiri, Korean bbq ribs, and chicken teriyaki. All solid!

I was totally blown away by the spectacular Sushi from here! I had the Crunchy Roll with Miso Soup and Vegetable Tempura. Everything came very warm and fresh and tasted amazing. The service was efficient and the servers were excellent. Overall I had a fantastic and refreshing experience. I will definitely come back again soon and I highly recommend you come too.

Its great if you like warm mushy sushi. The rolls came first before the appetizers. They said the sushi bar and kitchen dont run together. Pro tip, you should fix that, not blow it off as acceptable. This was a pretty awful experience.

We ate here last weekend for the first time and OMG delicious! I absolutely love eel sauce and most places barely put some on the top, but not here they drenched my sushi in it (exaggerating, but they put more than most places). I didnt get a picture of my sushi I just dug right in it looked and tasted amazing. I did get a picture of my Husbands and it looks and tastes like something from a 5 Star Restaurant. There was no wait time and the staff was very attentive and nice. We had two small young children with us and it felt like a very family friendly place. Highly recommended and will come back again soon!

Hi, this is not a blow up of negative review. However, i made an order near closing. By the end, it was 9:30ordered, received 9:45. The sushi was all hard over cooked rice or bottom of barrel bcuz it was late.I came in next day for refund or credit. He threw a tantrome, I was completely polite and offered excuses he good say, like we are out of rice, I would have understood. Instead, he decided to yell and berade me in front of guests.I go there all the time. I live down the street. The tables next to me that could hear. They all said he was out of order and that they were sorry that I had to endure that disrespect. Sad part is I usually order $50-80 check all the time that will now go to Crazy Rockin Sushi. Its more expensive and farther than Sushi NI, but at least I wont be embarrassed in front of my own community.

Wow. This place is nice. The service here is very friendly and on point. Their lunch special is a little pricy for lunch, but this is a sushi spot and not McDonalds.The fish is fresh and the portion sizes are very much worth the little premium you pay over a cheaper lunch.

By far the best sushi Ive had! I used to be local to this restaurant, but 5 yrs ago I moved out of state. I travel for work and have had sushi across our great states. No sushi has come close. The wait staff is great. The sushi is so fresh! When you go, and I know you will, get the Baked Lobster roll. The baked lobster sits on top of a California roll. Topped with yum yum sauce. Cucumber salad is always a great appy. Ive also had the salmon roll with shrimp tempura inside. There are so many options, even a sushi burrito! Eat here, you wont be sorry. For 2 people expect to pay about $60. Unless you enjoy some sake bombs. Make sure you have a designated driver if you plan on sake bombs, they really hit hard.

Perfect sushi spot in Downtown Glendora Village. The service was excellent - we were promptly seated, our order was taken, and before we knew it we were being served. Our food was ready so quickly that we really didnt stay a long time, but you could definitely linger by ordering multiple courses.My daughter loves sushi but I dont eat anything that lives in or near water, so we opted to split the bento box which included miso soup, salad, tempura vegetables, teriyaki beef, sushi, and sashimi. The tempura carrot was the BEST Ive ever had. She praised the sushi. We also ordered gyoza and they were delicious.I would definitely go back!

This place has gone down hill.. starting off with the hostess.. She is rude no customer service.. We order our food right when we sat down. Food starting coming out and specifically told waitress no shrimp due to allergy she said there is none it will be salmon and tuna and guess what came out shrimp. i had to ask for our drinks after at least 4 items came out. i also had to ask for the miso soup and salad. no one came by to check if we needed anything. i had to ask for trainer chopsticks for my 6 year old. i had to ask for napkins. we finally finished our food and i need to go boxes when i return to the table after my son had to use the restroom. the rude hostess was like sign and take your card. the receipt was riped and i had to also ask for a togo bag for my 3 to go boxes.. this was bad. it was not like this a few months ago

Went here a few weeks ago with some friends, service was questionable at best stacks of empty plates left at the tables and an air of annoyance when I asked another individual if they could move it for me 😆. I worked in the industry for years and try to be understanding but found this irritating, they werent that busy either. Made the mistake of getting a bento box with salmon.Sushi and sashimi were fine, salmon was overcooked and dry. Ill pass, better sushi nearby.

The food is great, what I didnt like was how the manager treats the new employees. Someone forgot a rice, we asked for it and it triggered a few uncomfortable minutes of us hearing how the girl manager treated the employee right next to us. It almost made us regret asking for the rice. I left, while my family finished eating. They are new, maybe speak slowly and train them well, dont be rude in front t of customers.

Came in on a Friday manager was super rude. Asked if we can order some drinks as, she replied very rudely and loud in front of everyone. Felt very embarrassed and talked down to. She did not have to respond that way. We paid the bill and left immediately. Will never come back here again.

Our favorite sushi place for years. The owners are so friendly. Seating and service is usually quick. The only thing I can complain about is that almost every time we go our tables are missing chopsticks and sauce bowls. Its okay though. the staff and the taste of the food make up for it.

Best service ever and fresh food. . I cant get enough of their delicious Don Special. A thin shrimp and asparagus wrapped in a non tempura batter and fried crispy and golden. Plated with the most delicious creamy sauce for dipping. I can eat the sauce with a spoon and I do. Yum

Their food is usually high quality and absolutely tasty. Their menu is diverse, and has a great selection of sushi rolls. However, be warned that their service can sometimes be terrible. When my family and I went, it was moderately busy. We were seated, and the owner and his waiters ignored us for 15 minutes until they brought us ONE menu (for a party of three). They brought us drinks after 20 minutes, and then asked for our food order after 25. I wouldnt have posted this if I hadnt noticed that two other tables (a party of 2 and a party of 4, the latter of which arrived long after we did) had the full and undivided attention of the owner (probably because both tables had ordered many bottles of beer). I guess the moral of his story is: If you plan on ordering beer or alcohol, expect great service. If you dont, expect to be ignored.

This sushi place was awesome! The environment there seemed chill as well. We usually go to another sushi place but wanted to try somewhere different and it did not fail. Our waiter was awesome and was very personable and gave good reccomendations. The owner was very nice and he checked on us during our meal. And now about the sushi....we got the double sake that our waiter reccomended and OMG if u love salmon get this is was so good! We will most definatly be coming back .

I would like to preface that I used to love this restaurant. It was my favorite sushi restaurant in the area and I was pretty loyal to it. Mind you, there are a ton of sushi restaurants in the area. That being said, I had the worst experience at the restaurant, and everyones reaction at the restaurant made me never want to come back.We had a fairly decent meal and we were just finishing up. Alex was our server at the time, and just as we finished our meal and were finishing up our wine, he walked over to us and asked us to leave. Apparently they had a reservation and needed the table, even though he sat us at the table to begin with and the party wasnt there. He didnt ask us if we could move, rather, he said I hate to ask you to leave, but. His tone was incredibly rude, and I was immediately off put. Everyone was listening to him, and we felt like we were rushed, which was very embarrassing. He didnt apologize, and we left. One member from our party went back to discuss, and both Alex and another server started arguing.The situation was made worse moments later. We got home, and called the restaurant asking to speak to a manager (his name was James). The manager immediately said now that Ive heard both sides of the story and proceeded to brush us off. He said he would talk to him, but his tone was very accusatory.To reiterate, we had been going to this restaurant since it first opened. However, if they wish to treat their customers like this, I would say avoid this restaurant at all costs. The sushi is expensive and alright, but nothing die over. There are far better sushi restaurants in the area with far better service and mangers.Furthermore, although this incident happened, the staff did not reach out at all the help correct the situation. In fact, they went online and challenged us and said that everything we said was false. Just to be clear, we did not just have one sip of wine to finish. And even if we did, it was incredibly rude to ask us to move.Again, stay away from this restaurant at all costs. It is overpriced with some of the worst service in the area.

Boutique style restaurant. Popular with locals for its friendly staff. Wait times can be long due to its size & popularity. Four friends and I walked in an hour before closing and there was no wait. I think the crew was winding down after a long day of service & may not have been at the top of their game. Food service industry is a grueling master. We ordered both, family style plates, sushi & rolls to share. The place has some unique appetizers & specials/offerings of the day. On this particular evening, we tried an assortment of dishes. First up, chirashi, which included the standard fish (salmon, 2-types of tuna, yellow tail, octopus, shrimp, snapper, mackarel, uni) and the freshness of the fish was good, although the portion was small (it contained mostly rice) & could easily be a main for one person; however, not larger enough to share. Next, we tried the yakisoba, which was sizzling hot, large enough to share & have one portion left for lunch. It contained mostly veggies, some chicken, & the noodles were firm and fork tender-which from my perspective is difficult to attain for some establishments. The flavor profile for this dish was standard & not to salty. Next up was the standard Tempura plate, a bit on the oily side & the batter was squishy, not crispy light & airy. The description sounded good but the deliverable was meh. The rolls we tried were mostly started with a California roll base and then topped off with your choice of fish. Again, standard, familiar types. The fish was fresh, good, but, for my taste (more adventurous), these rolls lacked the wow factor. For a local place, its a bit more up scale (the price point reflects that), & maybe it was our timing (1 hr before closing) the food was ok. Will definitely try this place for an earlier dinner to see if the food flavors have a bit more omph in them. In the meantime, yall go & try those independent gastronomies near you. Some are amazing & each is vying for you to have an awesome flavor experience. Itadakimasu.
