Food: superb fish quality~ nice, thick pieces of fish. Great texture, great flavor, very fresh. They also had fresh Wasabi that I had never tried before, so it was very cool to be exposed to this as an experience. See photos of food.Service: timely and kind (especially for a Friday night). Attentive, very kind and experience-oriented. The staff were happy to answer our questions. My husband and I very much appreciated this about the culture. It showed patience and attentiveness, and allowed us to enjoy our date night.Atmosphere: lively yet not annoyingly loud, full but not crammed. Contemporary music that was enjoyable.We did run up about a $200 bill, but that was because we got a hugeeee plate of sashimi, two rolls, two appetizers, and a bottle of sake. Its totally affordable if you dont splurge like we did.Highest compliments to this establishment!

Also sashimi in Hawaii is the best but for mainland this restaurant is still excellent unless youre in the mood to battle driving round trip to SF :/Excellent staff and service and a clean, hygienic, nicely decorated restaurant.Theyve changed owners almost 2 years ago so food and service are now exceptional, last owners and staff were unfavorable.

Oysters were delicious!!!! The salmon sashimi chunks mmmmmmmm I couldn’t even believe the quality and taste. I’m going back 100% and would recommend this place to anyone! Also their spicy tuna hand roll was super delicious I had to hold myself back from ordering a second round of everything.

The place has good sushi and nigiri. I loved the oyster, they were so fresh and delicious. I enjoyed the overall experience. They do have a big menu and large set of different special rolls. I didn’t enjoy the spicy tuna roll as I normally do but the Kani Tempura roll was great. Nigir was also fresh.I don’t mind recommending the place to try out.

I was working nearby and stopped in for a roll to go. I got a spicy tuna roll with avocado. It came out quick. Service here is great. My roll was the best tuna roll Ive ever had. When I was almost done I thought how can this be over? It was so delicious. The tuna was fresh, the rice was perfect, it was just heaven. This place is good. Ill be back.

Ive dined at many sushi bars, but Sushi O Sushi Japanese Cuisine truly stands out. The service was exceptional; the staff made us feel like VIPs. Sashimi rice bowl (Korean style poke) is amazing! Sashimi is super fresh and the sauce is spicy and yummy. So Korean style of sushi restaurant. It’s a bit pricey than other sushi places but totally worth it.

This used to be a premium place for raw fish, and in general, specialty rolls and appetizers. We can blame covid, but its been over 2 years since Ive been here and they fell off the cliff...plating is nice. Service was good. Actually, really fast considering other sushi spots take forever to bring your order to the table. The fatty tuna was subpar and the fresh Wasabi (even the processed Wasabi) had no kick to it at all...just a few dishes and a couple drinks, I was $100+ out of pocket. Its expected when you go to a nice sushi spot, but this left me feeling disappointed.

It has been a long while since I have dined at this restaurant. Over 80% of the wait staff has changed but still the same friendly service you would expect. Favorite sushi place. Try the crunch tempura roll. Tuna tataki is a huge portion. Nothing on the plate in my pics because we ate it so fast lol. Parking is a challenge during peak hours but not impossible. Definitely recommend.

Rude service at the end of the day, giving guests barely 15 mins to finish up an entire dinner -- They should not accept new customers unless they can give customers time to finish their meals! Exhorbidant pricing. Quality has tanked within a span of a month! Service during the meal was poor as well, with items being dropped from the order while remaining on the bill, and no apology or effort made to address the issue.

I absolutely love this place, its always full for a reason. You have to get there early or else youre going to have to wait for a table, you can also reserve one beforehand. I recommend the dragon roll and the cooked rolls (i forgot their name) but their normal sushi rolls but soft and chewy because theyve been heated up.

Felt like it was a little expensive. Chirashi was $29, seaweed salad was $8. Both were decent. The chirashi did seem like it was a larger portion then others. Quite a large restaurant, but it does full up. At 6pm on a Sunday evening, I sat at the bar within 5 minutes, tables were a brief wait. By 7:15pm, there was a handful of people already in the queue.

Solid place for good sushi rolls (although their rice can be hit or miss) and standard Japanese fare. Their sushi roll menu is extensive but well organized by ingredient, which makes it easier to figure out than most other places. The tori paitan (ramen) is on their new menu--delicious! Service is always excellent, and the restaurant itself is clean and pleasant. The parking lot is a planning disaster, but that is not their fault. Great choice for food in the neighborhood!

The host at the register, (gino) although they were busy was very helpful and took his time to explain the menu. The food overall was great and they give you plenty of it. For a sushi restaurant, sushi quality was disappointing. They made the sushi in a very short amount of time, but the seaweed wasn’t completely wrapped around the maki and rice wasn’t seasoned properly. I would give fish quality 3 stars at best. Would not recommend if you want decent sushi. There are many other sushi restaurants in the area at this price range with better food.

Its been a while since I visited and ate Fish Roe Rice, but I was a little disappointed. Fish Roe Rice in a cheap plastic flat dish was enough to kill my appetite. My friend was traveling internationally for business. She had great difficulty finding Chinese food IN THE US. I remember SOS asking us where we prefer seating and I could not get a booth so I got seated at the bar. Im there with my date and SOS immediately makes a problem for us. Nice mid-entry sushi with a good balance between casual and a slight step above.Tried their sashimi combination (salmon, tuna, and hamachi), and also got a few ikura gunkan and hotate nigiri a la carte.The sashimi itself was pretty much exactly as I expected and hoped. Nice thick slices with the marbly fat from the salmon melting in the mouth.The tuna was a lean cut so there was not much fattiness, but the texture was very welcoming. The hamachi had almost the same consistency as filet mignon, and I considered another order of it.The a la carte orders sadly had me wondering how fresh those selection were. There seemed to be an unusually strong lingering bitter aftertaste from the scallops. The ikura initially had the nice fresh briny beginning, but tapered off into a bitter finish. I ate half of the a la carte orders before a wave of nausea hit.Aside from the a la carte, I skipped the rolls as I was more interested in just tasting the fish without any distractions.I may just stick with the sashimi combination, as maybe hotate and ikura were not popular choices and may not be regularly rotated.

My absolute GO TO sushi place! Ive been going here for nearly 20 years - their rolls are the gold standard by which I compare other places to. Ive taken ex-pats here whove lived/ worked in Japan for 15 years and they confirm that their sushi is legit!! Although they changed owners the quality has not suffered. Their servers (Qin, Moon, Meily, Tanh) are top notch and are always very friendly to me and my family.

I had given this place a few more chances, but today was the last when we ordered online and they gave us all our rolls with nothing on it except the dish. Had to come back and they fixed most of it after waiting an hour to get home and still have a roll missing all the crab. The service was terrible and the waitress was very rude on the phone and in person. Do not order online as there is clearly a bug and set the bar very low on customer service.11 months ago- Service and cleanliness are very good, but the sushi was warm and the rolls were pretty sloppy. Sitting at the sushi bar, I was not impressed with the quality of the rolling and it appears they just dont have the fish stored at the right temperature.

Very good Sushi here. The Spicy Cherry roll, Spider Roll and Dragon Roll (with sliced lemon on top) all very good. The waiter was friendly. Interior decor of this place is very nice. Downside is the slow seating when you come in ( you also have to write your own name and time you came in down yourself). Took us more than 30 min to get a table (party of 5) and very limited space in the vestibule so gets crowded fast. Other than that it was very good experience and will come back again (but on a less crowded night).

We hadnt left any valuables in the car so nothing got stolen but now we have to pay the rental company for a new window. Took a friend coming from out of town to lunch here today. Nowadays, I only order the nigiri or sashimi mix whenever I go to Japanese restaurants, and that will be my base of whether a restaurant is good or not.Im actually quite surprised with the quality of sushi from this place. Still cant compare to sushi I get in Japan, but their fish was actually really fresh and delicious. Definitely one of the better ones in the area, and Ive tried quite a few of them.My friend ordered a few rolls and he thought they were quite alright. The ambiance and decoration of the restaurant is quite unique and definitely comforting. Overall a good experience.

A place my family likes to go...I often order various sushis, or one of the combination plates. The only time I was at all disappointed was when I discovered that I, personally, don’t like roe. Everyone else liked it, though, so if you like fish eggs on your sushi, I suppose you’ll like it here, too.One of my friends orders something she says she has a hard time finding- quail eggs. Edemami was fine, but then they brought 3 of the rolls. Id given it 4.5 stars if I can give 1/2 stars. The decor of the place is fairly nice. We went there early 6:30pm on a Friday night and it was already pack.I ordered salmon sashimi and the cut was great and it tasted delicious and fresh. Some sushi place serve their sashimi too cold and I didnt find a huge issue with this place. Only the first piece felt just tiny little bit too cold and the rest were just right.We also had the dinner combo A which had lobster and shrimp tempura as one of its sides and it was probably one of the best shrimp tempura Ive had for a while. The lobster tempura felt novel though it didnt nearly have as strong a taste as the shrimp.The person I went with had seared Ahi tuna and he seems to enjoyed it a lot as well.The only reason I would give it 4.5 stars is because I ordered a baked roll (Top gun) and it turned out to be really cooked which isnt the way I usually like rolls.The main dish took a while to come after the appetizer, but the platting on the main dish was so pretty. I think its well worth the wait!

Gone are the days this was a great place to eat at. With the recent multiple price changes, this is no longer a good place to eat. The combo plate now charges $5 for each serving of salmon sashimi. So for the 3 combo salmon sashimi plate it is now $35, which used to be $20, 6-7 years ago. For these prices, go elsewhere. We (2 small adults) ordered the sashimi mini platter ($50) and scallop roll ($16) and left feeling like we were ripped off. For the 20 pieces of sashimi some were really small (by sushi o sushis own standards).

A was really in the mood for nigiri sushi. Despite the fairly high ratings this place got I must say that I agree with the person who wrote that the fish is old and the pieces are too large. A nigiri piece should fit in your mouth. The fish has been frozen, probably for a long time so it doesnt taste much at all. Though they are different kind of fish many of them taste exactly the same, close to nothing. I am very disapointed and spent $24 for the mixed nigiri.
