2024-04-24 03:45:23We came here for the handroll tasting but their website hasnt been updated.. so we ended up doing their regular testing instead. There were some interesting options thrown in. The nigiris felt a little short but we were happy they included uni. The restaurant is small so I recommend making a reservation so youre not stuck with their outdoor seating in the back.20% gratuity is automatically added bringing the total to $234.. not a terrible price given the area.. but definitely not the best value.Big shout-out to Josh who held on to the credit card I left behind!

2024-04-14 23:45:54Decent quality of food at a reasonable price. The uni-toro-kani bowl is a must try (good for sharing by 2-3 ppl as an appetizer). Service is a bit slow. The ambience is okay…there are too many flies on the patio and it’s disappointing, would recommend sitting indoors.

2024-05-06 21:51:10We came here during lunch time. Tried 5 pcs and 8 pcs nigiri set. Each nigiri was well seasoned. It’s average quality not really impressed. However, salmon skin and okura dish it’s truly special. Refreshing and tasted just the right amount of seasoning. They offer variety of sake to choose from as well.Down side, not much of service but they added 20% tips automatically at the bill during lunch time. I truly think this is over priced.

2024-01-16 05:28:59Best cama (fish cheek) I have had in a long while. And the barracuda was especially tender and unique. The hand rolls are excellent, and fitting the mission for sure. Also, the soju is exceptional: Mir 22 “dragon” is amazing. Everything I had was exceptional, and the service very well indeed. Worth every penny, in my opinion.

2024-01-06 20:15:11Came here on a Friday night, no reservations and was seated immediately. We got the nigiri sake flight, which was amazing! And a selection of nigiri. I highly recommend the chu toro and the hamachi. Service was excellent. The second we were done with a plate, someone was over to clear the table. The panna cotta was the perfect finish. Menu was very well explained and recommendations from the waiter were much appreciated. All around wonderful experience and I will be coming back!

2024-01-21 06:02:19My boyfriend and I had the premium sake tasting and the sushi shio omakase. As someone who loves sushi (eat it at least 1-2x/wk), I was really disappointed in the quality of the nigiri. Almost every bite (besides the toro) was tough and tasted fishy and old. The amberjack was so fishy I had to spit it out. Something was really off - I left feeling nauseous. The small plates were the best part of the meal, particularly the truffle yellowtail. I don’t drink a ton of sake but thought the tasting was decent. Our waiter was also very kind and attentive. Was pretty bummed as this spot has great reviews. Will not be coming back.

2023-09-30 03:17:53Got the shio tasting. the fish tasted a day old. the wasabi used tasted like horseradish. the non nigiri dishes were the best. the supplements were good but all the nigiri pieces were so mid, and way too much horseradish.sake selection was weak at best. really disappointing because the reviews were so good! maybe the quality dropped since then? idk. the restaurant was empty when we got there at 6pm on a friday...also the table we were seated at had ac blowing so hard. my favorite dishes were the miso soup and the sorbet for dessert 😢

2023-09-19 06:58:07Come with me to Sushi Shio for a wonderful dining experience. A hidden gem with super affordable omakase in the city. Everything we had was perfectly balanced, unique, and delicious! We had the Shio Tasting, Handroll Tasting, and Chirashi along with the Sake Shio Flight. The food was simple but beautifully presented. Everything was incredibly fresh, the Nigiri, Hand-rolls, Chirashi, Toro Bruschetta, and Hamachi Tataki were all delicious!!Sushi Shio is the perfect spot for friends, family, coworkers, or even a romantic date night. Dont forget to try their premium sake flights too!

2024-02-23 07:48:48Updated: The owner of the restaurant reached out with great manner and professional attitude, updating the review based on thatSuper disappointed. We had high hopes for the Valentines Day dinner and we booked our reservation at 9:30pm a month ago. Arrived at the restaurant and found there were 10 people in front of us, and they all have reservations! Apparently the restaurant is very overbooked for today! WHY YOU HAVE THE RESERVATION SYSTEM IF YOU CANT MAKE SURE GUESTS CAN BE SEATED.The mood for the night has been ruined, let alone we spent 20+ minutes trying to find a parking spot on a rainy night!!!All I hope is they can refund my money back
