The ambience is beautiful here! It had authentic vibes and I loved all the centerpieces. I especially enjoyed the blinds in between the tables. It’s nice to have some privacy when eating. The customer service was friendly and attentive. It was nice the chef comped us something for our first time! We were greeted coming in and leaving.My husband had the teriyaki chicken bento box. The chicken was super tender and had a nice char which was a plus. The rolls had too much sauce/too sweet for our taste and didn’t complement the fish. I would ask for sauce aside next time. There was a wide variety of unique rolls. I wish the fish and raw oysters came out colder. The portions were big and well worth the price. The miso soup had the right amount of saltiness. Presentation of the food was beautiful. We will be back to try other items :)

I had a food safety issue with this place. I asked for specific holds on ingredients but they were added anyway. The owner was rude and told me it wasn’t their problem. The food smelled old as well. I cannot vouch for the safety or cleanliness of this restaurant and there are better sushi places in Bakersfield. The service was slow and acted as though they didn’t care that you paid premium money for the food. The lingering smell or rotted meat still makes me feel sick to think of it.I recommend you AVOID this place like the plague or be prepared to contract one.

So gorgeous and cool! really good to experience wide selection of best sushi and rolls for reasonable cost. the chef has got his taste. you never fail if you lean on his choices.. and the hostess is so kind and nice that you couldnt visit there only once.. We stopped in for a quick lunch. They all greeted us as we entered. The restaurant was not crowded and we were seated immediately. I had the shrimp and vegetable tempura and my husband had the fresh water eel bowl, we shared a seaweed salad. Everything was delicious!

Went on a date with my wife from out of town. The food was excellent and is comparable to the quality back home in the Bay Area. The atmosphere was relaxing and intimate. The waitress was beyond accommodating and they treated us as if we were the only people in the restaurant. They brought us something the chef made off the menu on the house and made a simple night out special. Great experience and highly recommend.

This place is recommended to visit! Ordered based on reviews. Excellent presentation of dishes and no less tasty content. We didn’t finish the sauces for six dishes a little, 5 soy sauces are not enough, but the pure taste of the rolls evened out the situation. Yes, I will order more and more as soon as I am there!

Best place we’ve found so far in town. The fish is always fresh, the rolls available are really good, but it would be great to have more options of unique fresh rolls. It’s really the wait staff coupled with the food that has had us back 3 times this month. Great place 👍Oh and … the bathrooms have always been clean! A huge part that I think most places overlook.

I’ve been to so many sushi places here in town, and this place is without a doubt my new favorite! We tried 3 different rolls (1 Fresh and 2 tempera) and I couldn’t say which one is better than the others. Everything is not only fresh and perfectly prepared, but each plate was beautiful to look at. The wait staff and servers were absolutely perfect and more than accommodating. This is my new go-to place for sushi.

Our family visited this place for the first time and we were a little worried about at first. A restaurant that only has four people on a Friday night seems to be a bad sign. I was totally wrong. This restaurant was great. Staff was friendly. They treated us like family. They pushed tables together without us asking. We were served right away. The food tastes as good as it looks. They carry Coca Cola soft drinks which is great. Here is a pleasant surprise... if you like tea.. you must try the green tea. I have never tasted a green tea as good as this. I wont tell you what it tastes like because I want you to try it and be surprised just like I was. This tea was unique and very well balanced with the meal. I have four children and they all enjoyed the sushi. The Galaxy roll, the Vegas roll, and the desserts were all pleasers!! This restaurant is not just the simple Mochi ice cream for dessert. They had tempura cheesecake!! deep fried CHEESECAKE!! I know what youre thinking, deep fried, but remember, tempura is not heavy. The dessert was perfect in presentation, texture, temperature and flavor. If you do not like chocolate, ask them to either go easy on the syrup or to skip it. The restaurant is well decorated so you feel relaxed. It has a clean, sharp, and elegant atmosphere without seeming pompous or over exaggerated. Overall, and I dont say this without it being true, this location needs to be more busy. Its difficult to tell you this because I dont want this location to get packed, but I dont think I should keep my experience to myself. It wouldnt be fair to you and have you miss this... I honestly dont like the name of the restaurant, but only because it doesnt do it justice. The relaxed atmosphere and casual name are however in tune with our cost of the visit. Total for family of six, with dessert and a couple of to go items (including our extra tea) was around $130. The smiling kids, wonderful food, and great service was all worth it. Thank you Sushi Time, well be back. Dont go anywhere.

Ordered to go and the packaging was secure and very organized. I got the chicken bento box which is the perfect meal. Delicious spicy tuna roll and amazing teriyaki chicken. If the spicy tuna roll is good, I’m sure the rest of the rolls are as well. Will definitely be back to try them all.

Ordered the salmon sashimi and baked salmon roll (yeah… I love salmon…).The sashimi is arguably the highest quality sashimi I’ve had. Full flavored, thick pieces, and a lot for the price honestly.Baked salmon roll was equally fantastic and a great end to the meal.House hot sake was also delicious with just the right amount of “sweet”.Great experience!
