Sushi Tomi in Mountain View

Love this place! Was recommended to me by a local and did not disappoint - will be back.Delicious, fresh, very reasonably priced and portions were great. I was impressed with the sashimi - so buttery.Didn’t take long to be seated (but a longer waiting list formed after we started) but easy to put your name on the list and they seat you asap. Staff were friendly and happy to help or provide recommendations.

Sushi Tomi is a top-notch sushi restaurant that consistently serves fresh, delicious seafood. We enjoy going there every time, and we always find something new to try on the menu. Yesterday, we ordered the Tomi Special Roll (with Hamachi), the Spider Roll, Kanpachi nigiri, Sake/Toro nigiri, and Clam Miso soup. Everything was done to perfection and tasted amazing.The restaurant is typically very busy, especially during peak hours. The parking lot across the street can fill up quickly, so its best to go during the weekdays and arrive early or park on a side street.

Good value for the price, especially the sashimi dinner and sushi dinners. It’s pretty busy and the service can be a bit slow. There was a bit of a wait and the restaurant is pretty loud, so I would say it’s better for casual meals.I got the sashimi plate and enjoyed it. We also tried the kara-age which was a bit too oily and not the usual texture that I’m used to compared to other karaage I’ve had at other places. The breading reminded me a bit of popeyes chicken.Overall I’d probably return again if I wanted sushi! I think I’d prefer to go to another place for a better atmosphere and similar price.

I was here for a quinceanera and came to this spot recommend by one of my friends.This has to be one of the best sushi restaurants I had been to,inside of the restaurant feels really authentic like a small restaurant in japan.I got the regular sashimi set, sushi dinner, and some rolls for my party, the sashimi is really fresh and mouth-watering, the rolls are filling with crab mixture goodness.One of the best sushi restaurants while traveling, will be back soon.

Bf and I had a great time out dinner on Fri. Went around opening time to avoid lines. Service was fast and efficient. Sat at the bar.Ordered omakase (sashimi), plus rainbow roll, salmon skin roll (my fav), and fried smelt. Omakase was really good value ($65) but we were disappointed by the salmon which we liked least. Rainbow roll was average. Really liked the salmon skin roll. Smelt was underwhelming, just 3 pieces and they were covered by some sort of wet salad (which imho makes the deep frying irrelevant...)Definitely recommend if you want good sushi, go early or risk a 30+min wait.Next time I go Ill just get the omakase and a large Sapporo.

We found Sushi Tomi while strolling around Mountain View and it did not disappoint. We got there right after they opened at 5pm and it was just in time as it got packed really quickly. Good service, cozy little place and tasty food. We had Kani Sunomono and a mix of different sushi rolls that were very delicious. Totally recommended, just keep in mind two things:1. No Aaple/Google Pay2. No fried sushi rollsCheers

Fish was fresh but the wasabi in the nigiri was overpowering and took away from the delicate taste of the fish. The miso soup hit the spot. The service was prompt but not rushed. It wouldve been nice to include pictures or more description for the dozen rolls listed like rainbow, dragon, or spider roll instead of having to Google them then again I might be in the minority here and thats ok.

I have been this restaurant since 2016, never get disappointed. Great quality, fast and good service. The matcha green tea ice cream is awesome, came like a big cup of wasabi 😂

Delicious, however I do have a few minor complaints, I dont think there was any of the nigiris, the rice was a bit cold and the fish wasnt really cut very evenly, all of that said its gonna be hard to find a better place anywhere close to this place probably.

One of my favorite sushi restaurants in the south bay. It can get super busy with a block long line as its fresh sushi and prices are still reasonable compared to other restaurants nearby - even after the recent inflation.
