I’m really impressed by the quality of the roles, great race to filling, ratio, and a wide variety to choose from. Will have to come again to try other things. Newly renovated space and very staff.

Good selection of yummy rolls, fresh fish at decent prices. Management hired a robot to help deliver food at times, which is an interesting choice and seemed to work ok. If you got kids they will surely get a kick out of it

Sushi Tomo has great food and a cozy, neighborhood atmosphere. Furthermore, it is rare to find a place in Palo Alto with reasonable prices and large portions. I normally get the Bento Box but have had great luck exploring the rest of their menu. Recent favorites include the Chirashi Bowl and the Chef’s Special! I recommend Sushi Tomo for people wanting a non-pretentious sushi spot that is of excellent value!

Generous portions at a reasonable price. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcomed. The fish was fresh and the sushi were of good quality. Felt like the place is well maintained and cared for. Kids especially loved the sushi boat! Also, conveniently located close to El Camino.

I think they are owned by Korean? The food I really don’t know what to recommend. Salmon was not fresh. Beef teriyaki was raw. Chicken katsu had very thick bread. I know the waitress looked friendly and attentive but I don’t think I could recommend the place. I only came here because the rating was high which turned out to be misleading.

I recently ordered from and unfortunately had a negative experience with their cook’s behavior towards the delivery driver. While the food itself was decent, the cook’s rudeness towards the dasher was concerning. It’s important to treat all individuals with respect and professionalism. I hope the restaurant addresses this issue to ensure a better experience for both customers and delivery drivers in the future.

My daughter loved the bento box, my son enjoyed the Udob noodles. Everything came out very quickly and was hot. The service was lackluster (not bad, but not good( and so was the sushi rolls. Left a little bit disappointed with the overall quality.

This place is really good! When we went there, it was one of my family members birthdays, and they gave us lemonade drinks and (delicious) dessert. The lemonade is really good and I would definitely get it again, and the desserts were delicious and beautiful. The people who work there are also super nice!

My experience was very good. While on a business trip, I decided to give Sushi Tomo a try. The hostess immediately greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. She was full of smiles and asked me if I wanted a booth or to sit at the sushi bar. I chose the sushi bar since it was only me. Eric, the sushi chef, rather young, knew how to prepare sushi very well. He was very in tune with not only prepping sushi for other patrons, he engaged in a lengthy conversation with me and was actually paying attention to the conversation. The sushi he prepared was fabulous. The price point is very reasonable especially for the location. I look forward to visiting this establishment next time I’m in town! I ordered the two item lunch bento box for $18, $24 after taxes. This is probably the best value for price I’ve seen in awhile. It comes with a lot of food. Salad and edamame come with it in addition to your two items. Really good taste and quality. The pork katsu is thick, not like the thin piece of smashed pork you get at some places.Definitely a good choice if you don’t want to pay for how expensive fuki sushi is

Their food tastes super good. We had Godzilla roll and chicken katsu, both of them are delicious. Their mix in the roll is just right, different flavors are in harmony. The sauce for chicken katsu is the key, and they are using the right sauce. You can tell they used clean oil to fry the katsu and its crispy outside and tender inside. They even cut the orange slice so its convenient to eat. They put their heart into food.Their parking lot seems busy all the time, which is a good sign. Services are good too.

One of my favorite restaurants! It has traditional Japanese decor, including a beautiful sushi bar with little boats carrying sushi plates. The sushi is extremely fresh (made in front of you by 2 sushi chefs in the center of the sushi boat) and the employees are always polite and nice.

The best sushi Ive had in a while!The place smells of deliciously appetizing rice. It is spacious and well lit. Decorations are appropriate and not overwhelming.The fish was super fresh. The rolls are delicately petite, with not too much rice. I really loved the Camino roll.Blue lemonade was so pretty and refreshing.My husband got a bowl of udon soup. He didnt particularly appreciate the whole shrimp (he likes his shrimp with head, tail and shell removed), but otherwise he enjoyed his meal.

The salmon was over cooked and the other uncooked salmon were too thick and tasted not fresh at all.They were not properly rolled and they fell apart when pick them up. The best tasting and highest quality sushi in the area for less money than any other sushi restaurants around. All workers show such kindness and hospitality that can turn any bad day into a great one. This is not the place to go for the most delicate and sophisticated presentations, but its excellent if you are hankering for nice sushi and want a real meal without paying a fortune! The fried oyster hand rolls, fresh uni, and salmon lovers rolls are all a treat.I also appreciate that they are open on Sundays and in the afternoons and when other sushi places generally are closed.

They are pretty nice to take my order while I called 5 minutes before their closing time. Not good service or the waitress doesnt speak English. Since it had no to-go menu, I browsed the menu and wanted to take pictures. The waitress saw me still not leaving asking ”Whats wrong with you? ” It is really not nice to ask customer this way. $19 for 6 pieces of sashimi and a small soup. Nothing else. Unhygienic! Dont eat here.It was my first time doing there tonight and two children came up to the sushi counter and were touching all the plates as they went by. Nine of the restaurant staff said anything. I told their father to please stop his children. Its almost shocking how much one wishes this restaurant goes out of business. It is like a rash, or a disease.The food is awful. So is the service. Just awful. But one strongly gets the feeling that the staff, management, and ownership truly do not care. One of the waitstaff greeted the two of us at the door, then went away to tend to a table, before coming back around to show us to a table. I got two rolls — Dragon and something with Boston in the name — and neither of them were very good. The Boston one had huge pieces of pretty flavorless salmon and tuna and very little rice — the proportions were way off compared to other rolls I’ve had. The Dragon roll was quite bad. Eel outside of rice, krab, and avocado. The krab and avocado were significantly warmer than room temperature and the krab was mealy and had the texture of paste. I’d rather wait 45 minutes on the sidewalk outside of Tomi than eat sushi here again.

We were horribly disappointed with the service we received. The waiter did not even come to check on us for about 10 minutes and ask us what we wanted to order. We had no menus so he brought them. After another 10 minutes he came and asked us if we were ready, took our order and disappeared for another 10 minutes. I asked to keep a menu to order more food when it arrived but he came and took it before we even got our food. He then brought our food with no soup which was included. Never checked on us and never asked us how our food was.

I only got the dinner bento, the 3 items I got where the tempora, Salmon sashimi and the Saba everything was really great the sashimi was cut really thick so you get a lot for your money, the tempora was crispy and cooked well and they give you a nice amount, lastly the Saba was also quite good the only thing I would say was it was a little dry and slightly burned but still pretty good 👍 the waitress was really nice and so were the rest of the staff we received our food in a timely manner I would definitely love to eat here again and actually try the sushi boats next time!!

Sat at the sushi bar after a dentist apmt (see my other review) anyway I had to ask for tea and miso and never even got a refill on my tea which is a big turn off for me.Prices were pretty good.... I got a heaping plate of wakame salad (which I am extra picky about)...also had a white tuna which was meh, they didnt put the buttery oil on the top which was a let down.But for miso,wakame,shiro maguro,and tea I walked out paying 8 bucks... so it wasnt too bad....why the 2 stars.. the service was lacking....they wouldnt take my bank card they have a 15 dollar min... lucky for me I dug in my purse and found enough in loose change in the bottom of my purse to pay for my meal...if Im starving again after my next apmt I might give it another try...
