The sushi is well done and delicious. The shrimp noodles fry is good if you like clam juice. If you want to go there, I recommend you arrive early, because they are very busy. We had to wait about 20 min, but they have 2 couches there.

Excellent restaurant. Highly recommended, staff are great, food is very good. Prices are reasonable, and the ingredients are top notch. Make this a definite visit if you are in the area. Updated... The servers rock!! My party of three were taught a crazy sake/beer game, were treated like lords and could not fault a single thing. And by the way, the Sashimi platter is Amazing!? This restaurant is actually near perfect. Thanks for a consistently great deal dining experience!

So first of all, let me say when we got to the restaurant, we were the only people there - so the service may be slower on a busy day.However, this may be my new favorite North Bay sushi restaurant. Absolutely delicious, unique rolls. Fresh, higher quality ingredients (even down to little things like tobiko being a better crunch than what you get at most spots). The service was exceptionally quick - if we werent the only ones there Id be worried at how quick the food was coming out. Everything was delightful. I look forward to coming back.

Surprisingly fresh and polished. Saw that this place had a ton more reviews than most of the sushi spots in the burbs in the immediate north bay. Glad I stopped by for a quick bite. Service and quality both exceeded my expectations. The nigiri lunch special got it done without breaking the bank. Will be back, cheers.

Came here twice. Food was alright. Nothing too crazy. Service sometimes good sometimes I cant find my server. Lighting is on the darker side. Seems to be a local family spot. I did discover the Omega3 roll to be pretty good hence the attached picture. Also had the Kappa Maki but they cut the cucumber into shreds which made it felt mushy. Also had the Rock n Roll. Mostly tasting the unagi sauce which is always a thing for me but nothing bring that.

Weve been visiting Sushi Tri weekly for a few years now. Service and quality is excellent every time. Li hooked it up with a Shining Fates Pokémon card with our check. Hell be working at the new location which opens soon in another part of Novato. Everyone on staff at Sushi Tri is super friendly and I would highly recommend this spot to all friends and family! Be sure to order the pork gyoza.

For a sushi lunch in Novato Marin, this place is best by a country mile. Plenty of free parking and easy to find. Good bar service and wonderful table service. Been several times and never been disappointed, yet. Terrific tempura options, maki, nigiri, sushi, and special rolls. Plan to happily revisit here often.

If I could give negative stars for service, I would. Ordered through Uber Eats $150. worth of sushi for me and my grandchildren (5 &7) we were already late for their dinner time. Ordered before 6:30 pm. Paid extra for priority service. They needed to eat and be in bed by 8:00 pm. Sushi Tri changed the time 3 times, later and later. Driver checked in multiple times starting at 7:00, I called the restaurant twice. The driver and I were in contact and I was tracking him the whole time. Long story…but gist of it is restaurant lied to both of us multiple times. Then at 8pm they cancelled my order. Then the restaurant called Uber Eats and lied to get the driver in trouble. 😡. I will never go to or order from this establishment again. Mistakes happen…I can deal with that. But when you lie about it, fail to deliver and blame someone else for your mistakes, that is terrible on a whole other level.

The newest sushi place in Novato. Its a modern take on the traditional sushi establishment. The quality of fish here is EXCELLENT! The staff is good and it is very common to see the owner/manager mingling with the customers/locals.Edit 07/04/22:One of my familys fave spots in Novato. Weve been coming here for years and have seen it evolve a little bit. We believe that it change ownership a couple years ago and seen small changes here and there. Overall the food and quality of fish sourced has still remained at a high level though.Oddly enough, one of my favorites is their chicken wings. You cant go wrong with any of their rolls though. The hot mama, dragon, lovers, Romeo & Juliet, caterpillar, rock N Roll rolls are all my faves. Their Ramen is pretty awesome too.My last visit I tried the Spicy Tuna Tacos and that was pretty fun.When you go there save enough room for the fried banana dessert!We love eating outside. It has a cute little scenic area. However we noticed that it could be cleaned up a little bit. Lots of spider webs, random pieces of weather beaten furniture, etc.

Big fan of the sushi here. The fish freshness/taste is fantastic. Their rolls are hit and miss but their great ones are great. Some of our favorites include the nigiri, pretty lady, Romeo and Juliet, and tekka maki.

First time I tried the Japanese Style Wings... Exceeded expectations.... went back and same excellent wings... Recommend the 5+ star wings... 5 strsLast visit, I explored the menu... Bento plate was excellent fare and reasonably priced... I have a real penchant for squid... the grilled squid was unmatched in my memory... I anticipate many more visits... next visit will be try grilled octopus.

I went to this place after hearing positive things from a couple other people. I was not disappointed! My friend ordered the seafood ramen and I got a bento box for lunch. The meal was fabulous... very fresh, and the service was attentive but not overly so. The spirit of Japanese generosity was woven into the menu, service, food, and decor. Very much recommend sushi tri.

A hidden gem! My daughter and I bumped into this place on a dark rainy afternoon. Inside space was a little tight. Everything was cozy and Very Clean. We ordered 2 meals and both were tasty. Biggest ripoff in Marin County. I spent over $40 and got the worlds smallest portions of food. There entries are smaller than our other sushi places appetizers. And then to top it off, the food was not very good either. Not going to order from here again. Instead I will spend my money at Matsuyama on Front Street in Novato. Their portions are WAY bigger for the same price.

I love this place! Sushi Tri has the best sushi in Marin, no question. The prices are higher but that reflects the quality of the food. The special rolls were as delicious as I remember. My only disappointment was that the service was confused and disorganized. We had to open our own bottle of wine and request some dishes more than once. Still, after living in Washington for 2.5 years, it was wonderful to return and enjoy such fantastic sushi. Dont miss it!

Unfortunately I am a little disappointed. The first time I went here, I loved everything about it. The next few times, I have ordered takeout, it’s not been the greatest experience. During my last trip, I placed my order on their website, waited about 30-40 minutes to go pick up my food, as this was the estimated time ready on the website. When I arrived, no one else was waiting and I waited a moment to let the person at the register let me know they were ready for me but they didn’t and even when I approached the desk, no one greeted me or even told me “I’ll be right with you”. It wasn’t until I said that I was here for a pickup that she finally asked me for my details. She asked the other man that was also there and it turns out they never prepared my food, however, they didn’t tell me this and instead just told me to wait. I waited for another ~30 minutes on top of the ~40ish minutes I had already waited previously. I wouldn’t have been as upset if they had just told me and if they had been friendly. I understand that restaurants are short-staffed and it’s busy but I also feel like communication and friendliness goes a long way.As for the sushi, I feel like it is very overpriced for both the taste and quality that it is. I ordered the dragon roll and even though it comes with avocado they only put the tiniest pieces in only half of it. Same thing with the shrimp, the smallest pieces. I don’t know that I would recommend this sushi place anymore

I have driven by this restaurant many times but for some reason never stopped in. We recently tried this restaurant and were amazed. They had the best sushi Ive ever had. Hands down. We went back for a second meal a week later and it was just as wonderful. The green mussel appetizer is to die for.

So since quarantine its hard to rate a place other than their take out options. Sushi has always been tough because I feel like its best fresh. However this place does a good job of maintaining that freshness for the most part.They have great variety, albeit smaller portion sizes than youd imagine.The quality is good, however one of two soft shell crab rolls had a fishy taste - guess it was just not a good crab.The price is typical, but again your portion sizes are a bit small.One thing I would recommend is the garlic chili edamame.

The sushi & food at this place is exceptional!I am an asian lady so I know my sushi. Currently, I am residing in Colorado and when I work in California, I make the long drive to this sushi restaurant.The sushi quality always exceeds expectations. The owner is a caring gentleman who made sure that Matts birthday celebration was done right. The owner also provided a complimentary large dessert plate with ice cream and mochi. Between the quality sushi & food and the caring atmosphere, Sushi Tri is a must every time we are in the area.FYI - their outside patio eating area is beautifully decorated & has a roof to protect you from the sun & rain. They accept dine in now.

We ordered takeout and were extremely dissapointed. Almost hour wait and the sushi was not good at all. When a roll said it had green onion and instead it was green bean? There was hardly any rice on the sushi rolls and the fish wasnt great. To be honest Ive had better sushi at a grocery store. And we hadnt eaten for hours and this was just dissapointing. The topping on the roll tasted stale and the edamame was bland.

Sushi Tri is fairly new to Novato. Ive eaten there a few times, hoping it would get better. The food is really tasty, fresh and each time prepared to my liking. However, getting it to the table in a timely manner, and with each persons meal within a few minutes of each other has been difficult. This uses to be my favorite sushi restaurant. I would go atleast once a week with friends or my wife. I dont know what happened. Terrible service! Waitress sat inside talking to the cook. I ordered the sushi boat and asked for no salmon or tuna and was happy to pay extra. Boat came with 6 prices of Escolar and all the rest was tuna. I mentioned it and the waitress acted like I didnt know what I was talking about. Went to the restroom to change my infant but there was no where to change him. I asked if I could change him on the bench she said no. I asked where I could change him she replied with I dont know. (Required to have a changing station by law). Sorry to say but this establishment has lost its glory days. Absolutely terrible

We chose to come to this place according to 4.5 stars they got. After the meal, I would say it was just ok. The Lovers Roll we ordered was the best one. The Tuna Poki tasted ok. The Ramen and Udon Soup were tasteless. We ordered one with Miso based soup and the other one was pork based soup and they both were very bland. The California roll tasted average. If I go back there, Id just order rolls.

Sometimes you have to ask more than once for top ups on the water and tea, but beyond that the staff is friendly and attentive. Outside during the spring, it can get a little chilly during the evening. I recommend bringing an extra layer.Their Veggie Tempura is exceptional and cooked properly...and they omit the unappealing veggies like green bell pepper (i dont understand why some sushi places think green bell pepper is a good idea?!)Dumplings, rolls and miso soup is flavorful and generous.

If you want to get sick come eat at sushi tri hands down the worst sushi I have ever had, me and my girl came here for dinner and had the spicy tuna and the worrier roll the first roll, the fish was slimy and had a werid texture had weird smell. it seems to me that there fish/ tuna was sitting out for days, no refrigeration. Im not an expert but im sure fish should be at a certain temperature. not worth the time nor money

This is a pretty solid place to go during a lunch break. I recommend get the katsu curry, which is an unreasonably large bowl of delicious Japanese curry. Not the best curry Ive had, but it gets the job done. Ive also had the Unagi don, which I thought was pretty dang good too. The sushi, however, I wasnt particularly impressed or disappointed with. Just pretty standard fare as far as North Bay sushi.
