Cute little spot across Berkeley High. I got a vegan sushi burrito with some tempura sweet potato fries that came with matcha salt. It was delicious, and very healthy. They also have mochi, takoyaki, and many Japanese snacks. Prices are very reasonable and service is excellent. Will be back.

Fast, healthy, filling burrito for under $15. I love their shrimp tempura or thin marinated beef for their burritos. Love their chicken karaage with curry sprinkled on. The potato croquet was yummy too!Do you remember Trader Joes tofu nuggets that were sold in the freezer section? Guess what? They have these here! Theyre one of my favorite vegetarian snacks. Four pieces for $4.

Ordered the seafood salad, ramen salad, potato croquettes, and a skinny shrimp roll for takeout. Everything was really tasty and well prepared. The salad itself could be a full meal + leftovers. The croquette was my favorite tasting thing and the skinny roll could be a meal itself in a pinch. Prices for everything were great, well below standard Berkeley prices. Its a small place but very cozy and well laid out. Youre taking a gamble if you want to dine in, I think, since theres only a couple of tables. Will have to return!

So many different types of sushi burritos to choose from! We tried the Puri Puri Poke and the Saku Saku Shrimp, and both were delicious. Definitely gonna be going back to try the other options!

Fast, convenient, and yummy! I got the puri puri poke burrito and every part of it was delicious. You can either order off the menu or do a build your own bowl or burrito. I went at lunch time and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I will definitely be back!

One of my favorite restaurants in the bay, I wish they were open weekends! The fact that they have sake and an open back area I would love to come here for brunch. Only wish would be more vegan options, like tofu or something. Owners are super nice, and the food is so good. Reminds of Japan, not overly sauced and strong flavors like some of the Japanese foods sold in the US. I really recommend, classic and affordable Japanese food with a twist!

Cute Japanese couple owners — try the tofu nuggets or any of their deep fried stuff! Those should not be missed out at all. Their sushi burritos and rolls are good though some lean on the overpriced side

Delicious food, polite and kind service! Sushi burritos are a good size for easy eating and the flavors are well paired. Definitely try the sweet potato tempura fries with matcha salt! Nice selection of sake, too.

I could eat this every day! The gentleman who owns it used to work in the Sake industry and pursued his dream to have his own restaurant. It’s been consistently great food every time.

Our family of four, 2 teenagers, loved this place. Service was fast and polite, options looked fresh and appetizing and tasted delicious. Good sizes, filling, healthy. And what an awesome idea, sushi+burrito! Highly recommend!!

This place is hella good! As someone who has lived in Japan for over five years, I like to think I know how authentic Japanese food should taste. Sushinista nails it every time. My Japanese colleague also love this place, some of whom come here at least once a week. True, sushi burritos arent exactly traditional but the care and effort that they put into each component of their rolls is evident at first bite.

This place always has great, fresh, interesting and filling sushi burrito choices. The couple that runs the spot are an older, soft spoken and very kind pair. They are Japanese and I love supporting them in being willing to adopt their cultural cuisine to a more modern fresh take. Wholesome place all around!

Great food with a new take on the sushi burrito at Sushinista. My main complaint is that there are TOO many options to choose from it was overwhelming my first time visiting. The prices are fair and the portions are decent. All in all tasty and a fun place to bring friends!

Sushinista always tastes fresh, and the owners (husband and wife couple from Kyoto) are lovely. I like the tofu nuggets and sweet potato tempura fries with matcha salt as well. In addition to the rolls and bowls, they sell Japanese drinks, sake, and desserts.

Great new restaurant serving Japanese in the form of burritos (assembly line like Chipotle). Ingredients were very fresh and the meal was tasty. Still need to work on figuring out how not to make a mess of the last couple bites.

I ordered the eel sushi burrito. It was delicious and hit the spot. They took my order and I watched the sushi chef prepare my lunch. I will be going back again. They also have sushi bowls and combo lunches.

Here I ate my first Sushi Burrito. It was a vegan one - clean tasting and fresh. The sushi chef helped me choose ingredients. My husband had a sushi burrito with shrimp. He said it worked for him. Ill go back.
