Fresh fish, amazing sauce, and even greater customer service!! Have been their customer for the past five years, and their quality never went down. Modt recently, I left my black purse, a gift from my mom, at the restaurant. Thinking I left it some place else, I didnt think to contact the restaurant. It was the restaurant owner who looked back at past years of order history, found my phone number, and called me to get my purse. When I got my purse, everything including the cash was there. THANK YOU SO MUCH

The food is great and Ive been going here for years. The takeout service is pretty bad though. Even today on a weekday when ordering at 5pm, it said my food would be available 25-30 minutes but it took an additional 30 minutes than stated. One time I waited an additional 40 minutes than stated even when it looked empty. I wouldnt mind if they were more honest about how long it will take. There was one time they didnt even start making my order until I came to pick it up. Other times its ready on time.

A nice neighborhood sushi with a very nice fish selection. The cuts are a bit, whatyoumacallit, choppy, but the fish is fresh and tasty. Other dishes are on par. A solid sushi experience without driving far. Love it.

Busy place, huge menu. Fresh sushi, big pieces. Staff is nice and helpful. Even when they are extremely busy the servers are attentive to your needs. In a strip mall, isnt easily seen from the street. Plenty of parking. If you go at dinner time, be prepared to wait. I went early, around 5, 5.15 and got a seat right away. My boyfriend loved the Woodside Roll, I preferred the Volcano Roll. If you want to stick with Nigri or sashimi, you wont be disappointed.

I had the Sushi / Sashimi combo (~$34), and unfortunately the fish was low quality. Texture overall was funky, and some of the fish felt like it had been hastily defrosted. The hamachi in particular was very mushy/off color, which was very disappointing. My partner had the black garlic ramen, which had decent flavor. But for a place with sushi in the name, it did not live up to what was expected. Maybe this place has better rolls, but I would not choose to come here for raw fish.

This was my first time trying sushi with beef in in instead of fish. Sadly, I wasnt super impressed although I was a little intrigued. The beef in the Kobe Beef Roll was pretty tender, but kind of too soft and it was way too greasy. We also got the TnT Roll and the Mountain View Roll to share and they were okay. It satisfied my sushi craving, but nothing that blew me away.Overall, an okay place to get your sushi fix, with okay prices.

The FoodSushi Plus is one of my go-to sushi restaurant in the NorCal Bay Area. Ive been there quite a few times, and tried many different selections from the menu. The order this time around is...- Jina Roll (Rice Free Roll)- Sake Sashimi (Salmon)- Combination Sushi & Sashimi (Chefs Choice)But some of the others Ive tried that I recommend are...- Crazy Taco- Crazy Roll- Super Duper RollTheir main focus are sushi, so all their nigiri, sashimi, and rolls are very good. They do not skim on the ingredients. Unlike other places that focus on rice for their sushi, this place has a good rice to fish ratio. They have other Japanese dishes also, but sushi is the recommendation.The MiscellaneousSushi Plus is within a plaza, so there are plenty of parking. The restaurant itself is not super big, but there are a decent amount of seating. Though during peak hours it can get pretty packed and long wait time. Their services has always been good, and staffs are sincere every time I went. The menu can get a bit overwhelming because their have a lot of choices and categories to choose from. But most of their selections are good, and theres nothing wrong with getting the usual. The prices are quite reasonable with the quantity and quality they provide when compared to other restaurants. Definitely recommend this place if you havent tried it yet.

Dropped in for a quick bite and immediately felt a warm welcome. Sushi Plus has a friendly and attentive staff, happy customers and above average portions of delicious Japanese cuisine. We ordered the Salmon Teriyaki Bento Box with Fresh Tuna Sashimi, steamed rice, Miso soup, salad and an incredibly crispy shrimp and veggie Tempura. Accompanied by a large bowl of tasty and perfectly seasoned Chicken Nabeyaki Udon soup. Highly recommended! I was a little bummed out that they dont have wifi, but oh well..

My wife does not do teriyaki because it has too much sugar. We came here about 3 weeks ago and the waitress was happy to change the teriyaki fish to shioyaki... We really liked the food and value and thought that this would be our go to place for Japanese. Unfortunately today we went back and it was sooooo different... The waiter and workers seemed really young and inexperienced... We asked for exactly the same thing to substitute teriyaki for shioyaki but the waitress did not even know what shioyaki is (its basically grilled fish with just salt and no sauce). We are very disappointed... What a waste of a good restaurant to hire sub standard help. I would pass on this and go somewhere else where they know what they serve.

I was looking for sushi while I was traveling, and I went here because it was receiving good reviews from Google.There was wide tables and bar table, so you can enjoy your meals with family or friends or alone.There are various menus such as sushi, sushi rolls, sashimi, ramen, etc.Especially, sushi rolls have a variety of options, you can choose one that suits your taste.Sashimi’ slices are very thick, so you can enjoy a wonderful texture and taste.Ramen is well matched with the other menus. Make sure to eat them together.At First time, I ate sushi for takeout. The food was well packed and maintained freshness.And next time, when I ate it in the restaurant, I can feel that all the staffs were very pleasant and kind. And the food service was quick that I had a great time for enjoy meal.Next time, Ill have sake or wine or beer with food in the restaurant.I strongly recommend this sushi restaurant.

I had a great experience at Sushi Plus! I absolutely loved that it felt like a real restaurant in Japan, with a few extra decorations added to teach the names of different sushi fish in Japanese. I ordered udon which came with a surprise salad that was the exact type that you get in Japan! The only way this place could be more Japanese is if they allowed smoking inside, but Im happy that they dont! This would be a five star rating except our waitress was quite rude. She had lighter brown hair and a more American accent than the other staff members. Nevertheless this is a great restaurant, I would be a regular if I lived nearby.

I have been to this restaurant more than 10 times, but my last visit made me never want to go back. The udon was served quickly, but we waited a whopping 45 minutes for our order of 5 sushi rolls to arrive. And when they finally did, they tasted peculiar - the spider roll had some strange fishy substance that we had to spit out. The shrimp tempura rolls were likewise stale and unappetizing. I suspect that whatever ingredients they used were not fresh because I suffered an allergic reaction soon after. We have been fans of this neighborhood restaurant for years, but now were not sure if well ever go back.

My favorite sushi place, I would give five stars but at around 5pm theres a huge rush and because I was a party of 2 instead of 4-5 I had to wait 25 mins or so to be seated when 3 other larger groups sat before me even though I was waiting before them felt kinda wrong since I go to this place often and usually service is wonderful. What more can one want from a restaurant?Update: prices have gone up significantly from before COVID. Some things probably close to 70%.I just ordered for two, take out with a price of 70. That said the roll which I got was amazing, I have never seen such huge rolls with such a high quantity of fish in them.So, this will become a treat, rather than a regular fare, but the treat will be worth it.

Visited over the weekend and was petty disappointed. Since I was last there it appears they have transitioned to primarily a take out restaurant. So much so that the service for dining-in suffered greatly. Two of our order items were completely missed and the server was mostly busy with handling of all the many take out orders. A third item came very late. If you have another sushi place you like, Id remove this restaurant from your rotation.

We used to love coming here before the pandemic. Friendly staff, a local neighborhood sushi place that was packed all the time. And we ordered takeout during the pandemic as well to support them. Food has always been good. So we finally decided to eat here indoors since its been over two years. We were disappointed, food is still great, but their focus is mostly on takeout now, so it took a while to get our order. They only give you bottled water, which is not environmentally friendly. The ginger and wasabi are also served in a plastic container. We hope things will return to the way it was pre-pandemic...for now, they made the place feel like an expensive fast food place.

With a constant food quality and friendly service this place would deserve a full 5 Stars but unfortunately they decided to be very restricted when asking for just regular water with your food, or hot water, this unfortunately for me is a no no. I should be able to drink what I want with my meal.I understand if they are trying to recover from a bad period but this way is definitely not the right way. I hope that they will change. Besides drinking hot water it is a very traditional Japanese thing isnt? And honestly Ill be totally fine if they decided to charge me for it, but refusing to offer it is just not nice.

Please read this comment to know why i gave your restaurant one star. I dont want to abuse or complain anything; i just want to give you a chance to check food processing.1. Salmon was not fresh. It was completely not like i ate before.2. Softshell was dried with old oil, so it smelled so unfresh.3. Rolls were loose. When i picked them with chopsticks. It just fell down easily. This place was better than I expected. The rolls were flavorful and by that I mean, dont look for subtlety here - their rolls are packed with strongly flavored sauces, some of which overpower the main ingredients. But tasty nonetheless. We had fatty tuna nigiri. Its color was way too pink with little to no marbling, which gave me pause. But it was pretty good. This is a great place if you want high quality American-style rolls.

This restaurant has gotten better over time. Initially, my family found that there service was weak and twice I ordered out and came home to find a dish was missing. However, now the service is much better and the food is very good. My only complaint is that they put cream sauce/heavy sauces and fried extras on so many dishes which is not typical of Japanese cuisine (at least not when I was in Japan and in the Japanese restaurants I worked at in the U.S.) . The sauces make the food far too rich with fish which is already rich and flavorful on its own especially if it is fresh.

Sushi+Plus has great staff. They are efficient and friendly. The manager, Jin, knows all the regulars. The sushi is very fresh and tasty. Portions of fish are generous and great flavors. This place is good for a quick bite, dinner with your children, or date night. Jin went to extra effort to make beautiful sushi platters for my sports teams year end party. Ive eaten here many times and never been disappointed.

We have been local patrons for years, maybe 9 years, and they have always been our go-to secret little spot. They dealt with COVID admirably. But now that they have been fully re-opened for a number of months (its now July) the food and service has taken a major downturn. Regrettably I feel like I need to write this review. The sushi/sashimi is fishy, like really fishy to the point that your stomach notices a few hours later. This isnt just our experience but others as well. The to-go orders are delayed, and the special requests (like please leave out the seaweed for the kids miso) are ignored. While they are the only local sushi joint in town near us we would rather drive to Palo Alto or Menlo Park where our $100+ order isnt a total garbage waste. An absolute travesty.

We showed at 5 before 5 pm on a Saturday and the place was packed by 10 after the hour. The place has close seating, which isnt an issue except for the wait staff rushing to & fro... you get the sense that theyll knock over anything close to the edge from their frenetic energy. The wait staff had to come back to our table 3 times to take our order because they want you to have your order ready in 30 seconds of their arrival (dont bother asking for a recommendation). For me, this isnt exactly a relaxing Saturday night out.On the plus side, the sashimi had generous and quality portions. The price for sushi given the quality was also a plus. Wed probably order to go next time or, eat at the sushi bar, lest not a stray hip knock our soy from the table.

Well, food is not the problem here. Its the way we were treated. As always when we go to sushi, we sit at the counter where the sushi chefs interact with the eaters. We actually didnt come back to this place since the last time we were there many years ago.My memory was the chefs were not friendly and refused to interact. The first things that come to mind when I think of this place, is that the line is long and the portions are huge. This is not a common combination for Japanese restaurants, so I can see why this place gets so crowded. -1 star for some of the rolls, though. The flavor combinations werent that good, and they were recommended by the waitress! They do provide takeout, which is a blessing. I will totally do that next time I want sushi from this place. I went in for lunch today and placed a to-go order. The hostess said it would take 15 minutes because one roll was deep fried which I understood. After 25 minutes, I asked if they could check on my food. It had been sitting in the to-go waiting area so I was able to eat a fried soggy roll. I wouldnt recommend this place. Some unique rolls that I havent seen anywhere else (tried the Kobe beef roll and White Christmas, and they were both excellent). Generous on the picked ginger, which I found isnt true for some other sushi places. For the price you might think the sushi will just be mediocre, but the quality and quantity are amazing here. The sashimi special is always what I get and the cuts of fish are very fresh. They dont skimp out as the rolls are also packed with fish, at least for the salmon rolls they are. Service is also on point. Let me start by saying that Im a recent transplant from the East Coast. I acknowledge that regional tastes differ. And honestly, I thought the service was good. The sashimi I had was buttery and delightful. Where I wasnt happy, however, was the rolls. Alexander, volcano, and rainbow specifically. I guess it was the combinations, maybe. The California rolls stuffing was not what Im used to- some sort of crab salad. The other two... well, not as spicy as I expected. Additionally, the rice wasnt very sticky. Overall, Im not mad at it, but I might check out some other places before i came back here. Again, please take into consideration that my flavor palette is probably very different to a locals.

Sushi in this part of the bay seems to be lower quality, in general, and this place is actually one of the *better* locations. The fish didnt have much flavour, and had the texture of soggy bread. Ask for extra wasabi and ginger - as their own sign says, wasabi and ginger are good at masking poor quality fish. If you have a sushi craving, its better to endure the traffic and head up to San Francisco. But if you dont have the patience for the commute, this is one of the best options in the area.

Bar none the best sushi in the South Bay! Yes, Sushi Plus sounds like some kind of sushi discount emporium, but you will not find better quality for the price. Price is on par with most sushi places in the area, but the quality is much higher — huge buttery pieces of sake; hot, crispy (not soggy or overcooked) salmon skin; and big fresh cuts. The roll selection is also really good; lots of old favorites and some new variations.There is always a wait, so get there early, and they dont take reservations, but its always worth it!

The fish is not the greatest quality but the cuts are very generous. This is a great place if youre looking for a sushi deal!My boyfriend and I shared the DELUXE SASHSMI ($30) for 2 people. This was a heaping platter of fish which also came with 2 salads, miso soups, and bowls of rice. The portion was truly generous and we couldnt finish the platter. After eating, the BF remarked that he had never felt so full from sashimi before!We also tried the CRAZY ROLL ($11) which consisted of Tuna + Salmon + Yellowtail Covered With Avocado + Tobiko. The cuts of fish in this roll were GINORMOUS--we felt like we were basically eating huge slices of sashimi adorned with some extra rice and avocado. YUM!We will definitely return soon and will probably order more of the specialty rolls here instead of the sashimi next time. I had some diner envy and kept eyeing rolls at the other tables. The atmosphere is cute and casual and there is easy parking in the big lot outside. Expect long waits on weekends during peak hours. Servers were attentive and brought out our food quickly.

It has a casual atmosphere and you can fulfill your sushi craving while wearing sweatpants (some people do dress up though) My sister brought my family here and we ordered a large selection of appetizers, sashimi, sushi rolls, and other dishes. Standouts were the monkey brain appetizer, princess roll (white tuna, spicy salmon, jalapeno) and also the Crazy roll (tuna, salmon, yellowtail). I was so happy that the prices were reasonable and the cuts of fish were huge!Next time, I would skip the nabiyaki udon and the fire cracker roll here as those were both pretty disappointing. It is in a quiet shopping center (the one with Michaels) and there is plenty of parking in the large parking lot.

Very disappointed. A Japanese restaurant operated by Korean. Taste is no good. Shrimp Tempura is just deep fried shrimp, not using tempura batter. Rice for the nigiri sushi was hard, maybe a bit under cooked. My daughter ordered 2pcs of toro sushi, but they came in as aburi toro (fatty tuna lightly browned by flame). Totally different things.If you are looking for real Japanese food, this place will not be able to satisfy you.
