We ordered Panko-Crusted Spam Musubi, Salmon Samba and Latin Ninja. Latin Ninja and Salmon Samba was really good and fresh. I am not sure about Spam Musubi though. It was crispy but hard to taste the spam inside. One Sushirrito is good enough for one or two people. In our case we had those for lunch and saved leftovers for dinner. I will definitely go back to try other Sushirrito again.

Visiting Palo Alto on my yearly trek to the Bay Area with my friend and his son, we passed this restaurant. It had a open air entrance so we could smell the food. Checked out the well laid out menu on the wall and tried it out. Very large portions and it fun to watch them make the sushiritos. I had a tempura crab with spicy sauce rolled in red pank crust. It was about the same as eating a 10-12 piece roll but easier to eat IMO. This is a chain and I hope that they make an appearance in the Midwest some day! Thanks for a great lunch!

Tasty and creative sushi burritos. The service was prompt and polite. They do have one vegetarian option on the menu, but I got the salmon poke. It was great! The menu said it was spicy but I thought it was actually mild. Would buy again.

Interesting concept on the fast casual scene. The food actually tastes pretty good with rich sauces to prevent the roll from being dry. The tempura breading was also light and crispy. Options are limited and two of the items were not available. A good alternative place to go for a quick bite but a little pricey.

Overall a place with great vibes and great food. Surprisingly, the sushi burritos were big enough to fill us up like a meal. Beware that the Latin Ninja burrito (the salmon one) might come with small bones. The most important thing was that seafood tasted fresh and savory.

A sushi in burrito form sounds weird, but works so beautifully. The seating can be a pain since theres only a few tables which can take a while to clear out, but they put all the burritos in a box so you can easily take it to go. The serving size is very generous and it honestly is just a giant sushi roll.At first, I (being a vegetarian) was pretty skeptical, especially when I saw they only had one veggie option: the Buddha Belly roll. It was a delicious flavor rollercoaster, varying from sweet to salty to crunchy. I cannot handle spicy food usually, but I was completely fine since the eggplant and pickled veggies dominated my taste palette. My non-vegetarian friends prefer this place as much as any sushi restaurant and generally like the Sumo Crunch the most.

Tasty and fresh food at a very reasonable price with nice presentation. Service is quick and friendly. Convenient location right on University Ave. They also have an open store front, which makes it more airy and pleasant to dine in.

Very fresh and yummy sushi burrito that I actually enjoyed very much. The portion was just enough to have for lunch and the fish tasted great with other ingredients. I would say that it was more like a poke burrito than sushi burrito, considering both the ingredients and the taste that were so similar to poke. Having it as a burrito, the food got somewhat messy towards the end when we were finishing up, but it was no big deal. It would be lovely if next time I could get to have the option to build my own burrito like I could with poke bowl.

For takeout, Sushirito is great with tasty food and unique rolls. You have raw or cooked choices. We had two Geisha kisses, Sumo Shrimp, and Hot chicken rolls. There are outlets in San Francisco, Sushirito truck in South S.F., and Palo Alto. Great food and quick. The app didnt work and phone is not answered. We walked and got good service and drove home and ate. Rolls are large, and I ate half for lunch and half for dinner. Enjoy!

Delicious and great potion of Side Karaage -Japanese Fried Chicken-. $7 per serving is amazing in Northern California. I highly recommend you to try them. However, the servers attitude can be much sweeter than how they are.

I highly recommend the Sumo Crunch!This place really knows how to blend good flavors and textures together. It really is a fun party in your mouth. Food is also visually beautiful.Obviously, this is not world class sushi. Dont come in expecting super traditional stuff. However, its pretty darn good. Wish they had wasabi.$11 buys a gigantic box good for two hungry people.Most people just grab a box and leave so its never crowded. Line can be somewhat long, though.

A good option if you’re craving Japanese food and want something that can deliver maximum flavor in the smallest package and easy to eat on the go. Prices are relatively reasonable compared with other sushi burrito restaurants in the area. Ordered to-go and the order was prepared really quickly and the fish was high quality and fresh. The signature burritos also had good flavor profiles.

Came here because my colleague wanted to try it out. Were in downtown a lot but we dont walk around this area much. Its a long walk to the Caltrain but we had to try itI do not remember what she ordered but said its okay. Ill definitely update my review when i get to try it someday... Awesome go-to for mega sushi burritos. I have loved Sushiritto since I first came - I have been here 5+ times now. The lines are always long, but it moves pretty quickly. There are all kinds of fillers and options for your sushiritto, they also have vegan / vegetarian options. The people here are friendly. The location is great, right on University Ave and they have outdoor seating too so you can be right in the heart of downtown Palo Alto.

Essentially a sushi roll that hasnt been cut so you have to eat it like a burrito, hence sushi-rrito. The rolls are good but nothing to write home about. I had the geisha which had fresh fish and an interesting crunch contrast with crispy lotus flowers. I recommend if the line isnt huge, otherwise there are lots of other options in downtown PA.

The rolls are fresh, there is no doupt about the quality. But they were missing flavor. There is no soy sauce, ginger and wasabi which usually boosts the taste in sushi, so it overall tasted a bit neutral and dry in my opinion.

I got the sumo crunch (sushi wrap with tempura shrimp) and it was not good at all. The wrap was 75% fake crab, a couple slices of cucumber, and a small piece of shrimp tempura. It did not taste fresh and the rice was very wet. While I am willing to pay for good sushi, this was not worth the $16. I do not recommend this place if you are looking for quality. The portions are. large.

Looking for a quick, unique and simple meal? I would describe it as a big sushi hand roll fashioned in burrito style. Instead of a tortilla the contents are wrapped in seaweed just like a hand roll. The menu is short and has only one vegetarian/vegan choice, which was very good by the way.

Wow. I was so excited to hear it has reopened. First problem, there are no lights outside, and I had forgotten where it was. I had to ask Google to get me there. A dark facade....at 525 PM.Then I opened the door and smelled fish.Ew.Even now the chill went down my legs from my spine.In my excitement to have a sushi burrito it still didnt portend what was to come.I got the fiery chicken, the cowboy, and the sumo. The name of the last one ? IDK if thats right, but its fish. By the time I got it home, all three tasted like fish and smells like old fish.Fifty dollars in the garbage.We had food delivered.You know what restaurant has never made a false move in 20 years?Darbar.Its amazing. I ordered the mini Geishas Kiss - perfect for a normal-sized lunch, and it was perfectly flavored. I love sushi and really enjoyed this. My friend never tried sushi before; she ordered the mini Sumo Crunch. It looked really good and she was really happy with her choice. Service was quick and we enjoyed eating at the restaurant. Ill definitely come back for a quick lunch in the future.

I never write reviews, but this restaurant nearly took me to the hospital so I had to write this to warn others!!! Tltr. Ordered here today, and got FOOD POISONING. DONT EAT HERE¡¡I decided to order from sushirrto for dinner today (1/23/22) because my lunch was just some home fried vegetables + rice. I ordered the Sumo Crunch and only ate half of it for dinner (my boyfriend ate the other half). I remember thinking the wrap was a bit soggy and didn’t taste very fresh. But it wasn’t so bad to the point I couldn’t finish, so I still finished the half. I didn’t eat anything else for dinner and only drank water after that.And around 4am, I woke up from an intense stomach pain, resulting in me vomiting 4 times, and a bad diarrhea. The vomit was the remaining wrap I ate around 7:30pm. The pain continued for 3 hours and I almost went to the emergency room!!! My boyfriend was not having a stomach pain but was feeling gassy and a bit bloated (he probably has a stronger stomach). After comparing notes, we are sure the fish/shrimp in the wrap was the reason we had the reaction. They were definitely the symptoms of food poisoning!!! DONT EAT HERE¡¡

Love this place! Weve gone several times. The burritos are basically giant sushi rolls, for the price of what a normal roll would cost you other places. You can definitely get full off of just one (unlike ushi rolls where I can easily down 2-3)! The Geishas Kiss (or something like that) was very good, as was the their crunchy shrimp tempura roll. The Ninja roll Id stay away from: too much blend of the burrito and the sushi roll.

I went here for the bomb reviews and it didnt disappoint. I was up the street for some work industry training and it was busy lunch rush.The line moved quick and they got the food out quicker. The menu was smaller but offered enough to meet most taste buds.I ordered the salmon roll and I was shocked at how big it was! Great food! I came at a sweet spot about 1:15, there was a line but nothing terrible. We had a big party of ten people and had some problems getting seating because there isnt much but we worked it out. I got the salmon samba and it was AWESOME. They do not provide wasabi or soy sauce so dont bother asking but its good without!!

I love the concept of burrito sized sushi! The ingredients are fresh, the service efficient, and I actually felt full and satisfied afterward. However, when they sliced my sushirito in half, the woman took the same knife which was used with the raw fish orders ahead of mine to also cut mine too, then placed the same knife under the folds of a used towel. I might not have minded, but when theres a medical necessity and I go to the trouble to avoid raw fish and shellfish, I dont want cross contamination on my order!

They have some pretty interesting flavor combinations for their sushi burritos. If you dont feel like eating regular sushi, this is a good spot to mix things up. Love the Geishas Kiss with yellowtail and lotus chips to add crunch and texture.Space is small, not that many tables. A lot of people grab and go. They put your burrito in a cardboard box, so you can carry it out.

A very long wait but worth it if you like trying new things that you cant find anywhere else. Although the concept is simple, I was impressed by how well they combined the different flavours and textures. My favourite was the Satori because I love raw fish sushi and the wasabi mayo added a nice kick to it - I didnt like our other roll as much (Geishas Kiss) but thats just a personal preference. There is probably at least one roll there that would suit your taste. The only problem is how many times are you willing to line up again to try a new roll?

For my first sushirrito experience I chose to order the Satori, and I felt a little underwhelmed. Maybe part of the reason was because the rice wasnt actually seasoned like sushi rice, the whole thing tasted slightly bland.On the other hand, the staff is friendly and quick at turning out orders, so even during a busy lunch rush the line moved reasonably fast. I could consider coming back on an off time and give the place another go, but personally dont feel like its worth waiting in line for.

Ive only eaten here once, but i have to say I was pretty disappointed. I have heard of it long before coming here and the concept had always seem interesting to me as a sushi lover but the Sushirrito failed to meet my expectations. The wait for this place was pretty long to so I thought it was going to be amazing but really, the flavors fell short. Sushirritos are not sushi! Putting that aside the food was much too small of a portion size for me, especially when considering the high prices. I really have no way of justifying the food for the price.

Delicious. Small place that does not look particularly special but the salmon sushirrito is incredible. Filled with tempura asparagus, cucumbers, rice, and teriyaki salmon it is an absolute treat of textures and flavors. Tables were pretty dirty and service was lacking but the food made up for it!

It was okay, but I got the sumo one with crab and shrimp and it was just kinda bland. And somehow they dont have soy sauce. If they had it probably would have been pretty decent. I ended up getting extra of the siriacha aoli sauce, which made it a bit better, but the flavor of the sauce didnt seem quite right for sushi (and they charged $.50 for sauce 🙄) Would have preferred a normal California roll at an average sushi place.

A sushi burrito is an awesome invention! Got the Sumo Crunch which was delicious and tried the Geisha Kiss. Both were pretty good. We also got the lava nachos that had an interesting texture, but was pretty good with guac and tuna on top. For those folks who are more used to Americanized concepts of food portion, and who can stomach the corresponding amount of raw fish, something like the Sumo Crunch is going to hit the sweet spot of quantity, quality, and price. Even half a roll is going to make you full.For others who hold to the more traditional Japanese sense of taste and portion, these rolls are going to be an abomination.Edit: Beware that this location seems to be somewhat stingy with their more expensive ingredients. Order a Satori and youre liable to end up with nothing but a mouthful of rice and cucumber with your first and last bites.

Awesome! Definitely try the nachos, theyre a really interesting take on nachos. I tried two of the sushirritos, and both were delicious. There isnt much room for customization, so pay close attention if you are very spice intolerant -- but nothing was all that spicy, just a bit of wasabi!The one drawback that most people mention is the wait. During the middle of their opening it does get pretty crazy, but if you arrive early (~11 am) there isnt a line yet.

And then I watched their food preparation assembly line and realized that this place could double their efficiency if they didnt have just one person making your role. Yes, thats correct. Only one person actually makes the roles. If the had one or two more people doing this, their customers wudnt have to wait so long.Other than this MAJOR thing, the food here is really that delish! The Sumo Crunch and the Satori were awesome! I wasnt a fan of the Geishas Kiss. I recommend having your friend order one and then you ordering another and then just swap halves. Had a Satori and ate it on a table on the sidewalk in front of the shop.Very good tasting even for by a Japanese!
