SushiStop Studio City in Studio City

I dont live too far from this location and after I had a great experience at the location in Burbank, I wanted to try here. Great presentation of food. Miso soup was full of flavor. The pan fried gyozas and the tempura ice cream were excellent. The baked salmon roll lacked on flavor, but the dragon roll was pretty good. Everything tasted fresh. Fast service, but they never checked up on us. They just brought the food and left. Overall I would try here again

Prices have increased over the years. Quality is still good. Don’t get the spider roll - the crab is so over fried or small that it tastes identical to a salmon skin roll. Portions are great!

Not a bad sushi place for quick lunch. Variety is quite good but price is not as cheap as it used to. Sushi taste is quite good, size also not bad. Ingredients are fresh and the rice is done right. The hamachi is quite alright, which is my gold standard for sushi test. Spicy tuna is ok, unagi is how its supposed to be. Salmon is wonderfully fatty. Soba has good chew and soup. Fried jalapeños is fun to eat. Tempura has good crisp. Chicken teriyaki has some improvement to do.Ambiance is so so, service is quite fast.

High quality sushi rolls, udon noodles at very reasonable price. Parking is limited. Excellent service and nice cozy ambiance. It’s actually my second time to come here.

Ordered snapper and aburi sushi but rice was falling apart from the sushi. Plus 5 pieces lemon salmons came out like 4 and half. Literally like 4. Also the rice was pretty dry. Usually have a good experience there but I don’t know what happened today. The wait times were really long and the quality of the food was not that good.

Delicious food good price only thing I did t like was not getting any sauce ginger and wasabi or chopsticks napkins or any of that sorta think for me that’s kind of a must but hey for the price and quality I’ll deal with the missing condiments

Ive been going to this sushi place for seven years, and it deeply saddens me to write this review. Today, I brought my family here for the first time, hoping to share the wonderful experience Ive had over the years. Unfortunately, we were met with unwelcoming and unfriendly staff.After waiting patiently for our server to take our order, I had to go inside and personally give it to the sushi chef. As I was doing so, our server approached me, and I explained that we had been waiting for some time without any service. Her response left me speechless - if you have attitude, I will refuse service.Ive never been spoken to in such a way before, and it left a sour taste in my mouth.The food, thankfully, remains excellent, but the lack of hospitality and respect from the staff is disheartening. I sincerely hope the owners take heed of customer feedback and address any issues with staff behavior.In the meantime, Ill be exploring other places that not only serve delicious sushi but also greet customers with a warm smile.

They microwave their sake. Saw the waiter dump it into a paper cup then nuke it. Completely ruined the flavor. Won’t ever be going back for sake & sushi at this establishment.

I enjoyed outdoor dining but I think they are understaffed. We had to wait a long time for 2 more dishes to be served to us, and for the Salmon Sashimi with truffle oil they left out the caviar. As for the chicken curry, it was blend and unimpressive, but if they added the truffle oil / seasoning to it, it makes a world of differences. I think 4 stars is good for them, hopefully they will improve things later. I forgot to take pictures of baked mussels and salmon with truffle oil.

Food was good but overpriced for the smaller portions in contrast to other sushi restaurants in the area. That includes amount Sake, albeit it was on special for happy hour.Staff was pleasant but didnt automatically bring Wasabi and Ginger along with my Rainbow Roll. When I asked for them, both were served in small plastic containers as if I were getting a pickup order. Tacky.
