Went to Sushiya in July while moving my daughter to near Santa Barbara area. The food was amazing and so tasty that we basically left the plates clean. But to our surprise when the owner found out my daughter was moving there by herself she offered her cell number in case she ever needed any help or have questions about anything. This was such a heartwarming gesture that we felt so grateful. Warm hearted owner with compassion for others no wonder the food tasted so good.

The best quality sushi in town! This place is definitely a hidden gem filled with fresh ingredients and authentic foods. The poke bowl: it has fifty-thousands flavors of ocean. And their Galbi Bowl got real Korean BBQ marination done perfectly balanced with tenderness of the meat.

The absolute best sushi and service you could ask for! The owners are incredibly friendly and all the dishes are a great size and incredibly tasty, they definitely use top quality ingredients. This is the go to place if you are in the area.

Came with high expectations, left disappointed and dissatisfied.Had a bad experience at the restaurant for a first time.Not very inviting.Ordered a California roll and plain udon soup which was mostly covered in oil.The California rolls fell apart themselves and the soup wasn’t nice.It’s not a cheap place compared to other options around. Spent around 22$ for these two dishes.I even found a piece of aluminum or whatsoever inside my miso soup.The place seems to offer different Asian dishes but none of them being good enough.Quality of food: 3/10Atmosphere: 4/10Recommend(?) NoPrice: $$

Food is the lowest sushi quality Ive seen in my life! Also some of the most expensive too. ppl are nice though! Great If your a college kid that has no clue what good food tastes like!

Ordered the shoyu ramen with a side of gyoza (total was $30). Spending $30 for a bowl of ramen and an appetizer, I was expecting a lot more than what I got… Ramen was pretty bland and gyoza, although not bad, did not justify the price. The lady helping me out also didn’t know much. I asked if any meat came with the ramen, and she said no. I then pointed out one of their own pictures showing meat coming with it, and she then corrected herself.The astounding part was the fact that they served shin ramen for $10… I asked her about it, and this happens to be the same exact packaged ramen that you can buy and make yourself for 50 cents a packet. If you are going to charge this much for food, you can make it better quality! I recommend to skip this place entirely and head to Nikka ramen in goleta downtown—you will not regret it!

This place has an incredible Philly roll. It’s my favorite place to get one, and the staff is amazing, they make it feel really homey. If you get one of the special rolls they give you free miso with it, which is the first time I’ve ever experienced that.

We love Sushiya!! We usually go there after a big family beach day. The family that runs it is so sweet and the sushi is AMAZING. If you have not tried the BSCR roll yet its so good : )

I just keep coming back every chance i get to make the 5hr drive. Delicious! Ive had several of the menu items and have enjoyed all of them, thou, for me the sushiya is my favorite roll (i do ask for slices of lemon to be added on top thou 😁, i get spiiled 😍). On a side note, the place is kept clean, i added a panoramic photo of the restaurant and the restroom. Both are pleasing.

Great staff, very courteous. It was a bit warm on the day we visited and we were brought out a sun shade umbrella and an extra table. Great food, the salmon appetizer is delicious.

We where visiting SB and someone recommended us this place,but oh boy.horrible.food was not good at all,it was super hot inside,food didnt look fresh.and the price,men we paid over $90 for bad service and bad food.would never go again or recommend it to anyone

Excellent fresh sushi and other dishes (Japanese, Korean, etc.) that were most enjoyable. Definitely going back! Try the Kimchi Fried Rice if you like something spicy and new for your palate 😀
