We ate here last night for the first time and left happy and satisfied. Sushiya Ramen is tucked into a busy corner of Long Beach Blvd and Willow Streets intersection. On a Tuesday night there were several tables eating dinner. The ambiance was humble but everyone was very welcoming. We started with Agedashi tofu. Very big and thick cuts of lightly breaded and fried crisp tofu with a salty dashi dipping sauce. My husband had a cold Sapporo beer with a Crispy Crunch roll made with crab meat, tempura and avocado. My daughter and I had the same rolls in our bento boxes. She also had teriyaki chicken and I had salmon and tempura. Everything was tasty and reasonably priced. We will be back for the friendly and attentive staff that made the place comfortable and pleasant, and for the generous portions of fresh and delicious food offerings:)

We came here on a Wednesday evening right after happy hour, which was 3-6. I wish we got there earlier! The service was excellent and the food was so delicious and tasted so fresh. We got sushi, miso (BOMB), and the complimentary edamame. We will definitely return and try the ramen next!

I’m here almost every week! Right off the bat, not a fan of the ramen. Its ok. But the sushi and sashimi selections are what brings it up to 5 stars! The portions are generous, the fish are fresh. The staff are very friendly and their prices are decent for fresh food. They also serve alcohol now and have daily happy hour from 3-6 for food and alcohol as well as 20% off on dinner. Give them a chance. I’m a stone’s throw away and I’m so glad they chose to be in our neighborhood.

Tried a new restaurant and came across Sushiya Ramen. There is lots of parking when you arrive so thats a nice change for long beach. The restaurant is nice and clean and the service was great. The food was really good and they just received their liquor license so you can enjoy an adult beverage with your meal if you choose to. My favorite was the Garlic Tempura roll...delicious. Closely followed the the sushiya special. We also sampled some warm saki which Ive never had before but was tasty.

Got takeout! staff were nice during pickup, my order was prepared quickly. oysters were kept cold in the fridge for me. there was a small mix up but they fixed it really quickly and we’re nice about it. oysters were delicious!!! nice size and the sauces and toppings were great. and a really good price.four stars because the sushi rolls could’ve used more flavor, the spicy salmon and double yellowtail didn’t have much flavor. couldn’t really taste the spice, but overall it wasn’t bad. the OMG was pretty good, but also could’ve used more flavor. but it’s a decent deal for the takeout special of 3 rolls for $40.i highly recommend the oysters though! kind of hard to find a place with decent oysters around here.

The. Best. Sushi. In Long Beach. Possibly the world? Haha I don’t know, you be the judge. The Dragon rolls are excellent. The Spicy Tina on Crispy Rice, and any of the Crunch rolls are wonderful. I’m a big Uni (sea urchin) fan, and the Uni is always super good here. If you sit at the sushi bar, Danny the sushi chef is a nice guy. 5-stars from me!

FREAKING AMAZING! My friend and I came here on a Monday night and it was the best sushi we have ever ate. So delicious we didn’t even talk while enjoying our plates. Great customer service and would definitely make the commute here to eat sushi. Everything was great!

Overall 3 Stars It wasn’t “bad” but it was also a bit over priced for the qualityWe got a bento box lunch special, a bowl of pork ramen, and waters. Our total after the 20% discount was $40 + tipThe bento box was good! A lot of food, pretty solid quality, and the sushi was delicious. I’d give the bento box an overall 4.5 stars. Obviously this could vary depending on what items you get in it.The ramen however was less than impressive unfortunately. 2 out of 5 stars. The whole thing tasted Smokey and very BBQ-esk. The noodles were cooked perfect! But apart from that the rest was very okay at best. The pork is whatever quality, and the toppings are carrots and cucumbers as opposed to something more traditional like mushrooms and nori. The biggest let down on the ramen was the eggs. They were not soft boiled, or marinated. They were simply cold hard boiled eggs. If they could fix the egg alone the ramen would be significantly better!I hope they step up the ramen since it’s in the name of the restaurant, but the bento was good and the staff very friendly and attentive!

Absolutely excellent sushi! Dont let the stripmall environment bug you. The staff are wonderful pleasant, funny. The overall experience is just great and the sushi chef is knowledgeable and friendly. There are great specials and there is great $ value for the high quality they offer.
