The chicken was very dry and hard.The place was very dusty and ran down.The sushi was okay, the staff was wonderful.

2 years ago i gave this place a very good review, Unfortunately, I am now changing it yesterday. I came in here in the evening and I got an order that was not mine. I dont ever order the raw fish. I get the cooked fish. And I gotta roll and charge for a roll. That was raw fish raw tuna. And I never ordered that everything was a mess. It tasted nasty and the service was bad. And they didnt get my order, right. And I was overcharged. I felt the added item was on purpose because they were acting real Tispicious with the money and giving me my change. I only ordered 3 items and got 4 and was charged for it. Will never return to this place .

We enjoyed this sushi and the time was very pleasant. Very good prices and quick service. The mixed tours dinner was great. The sashimi is very yummy and the rainbow roll and spicy tuna were done just right!

The cook and waiter are so wonderful. Nice smile and welcoming atmosphere. I’ve been visiting here in Cali and have went back so many times. The food is great!!! Best sushi I have ever had and so was the rice!!

We loved the Sushiya when we lived in Eastlake. Thought we would enjoy the San Marco Sushiya on our visit to San Diego. Well never know.Internet and sign said open at 11:00, but sign was flipped to Closed. Door was wide open. Multiple groups of people stopped in, setting off the entrance chirp to let them know they had guests. They never acknowledged anyone. We left at 11:17. It was a blessing in disguise, as we went to Pitas Mediterranean in the same complex and had an amazing lunch.

Finally found our new sushi spot!! Amazing customer service, we were greeted and seated immediately on a Saturday night. Not 1 but EVERY SINGLE ONE of the staff helped us in some way. We can tell that everyone there loved working, super friendly happy staff. We loved the energy as soon as walked in. The food was delicious, fresh and yummy! Service was fast. It is also kid friendly, they had crayons and coloring paper for our toddler which she enjoyed. We will definitely be back and will be visiting regularly, weve decided that this is our new sushi spot, close to us and unbelievable staff! Thank you for making our night wonderful Sushiya team.

Outstanding & wonderful everytime I visit this place. The food is always fresh & delightful, have never had an issue with either dining-in or take-out> big props to Tony whos always done a great job going above & beyond making sure everyone has a great and enjoyable experience.Not to mention, the beautiful sushi birthday platter he arranged on a last minute take-out I ordered for a relative.Recommend 100000%

Ive ordered from this place three times the first time everything was great, the second time they wanted to charge us more for the same type of food, today I get a call back from them saying that theyre going to charge us an extra $10 for the same food that theyve been providing.Last time we ordered they forgot some things.Just be weary of price changes out of nowhere for no reason whatsoever.

This is the best place ever. The staff is amazing, the food great and overall the experience is enjoyable. Be sure to try the Padres roll if you want to get someone into sushi. Also the brown rice tea was a a real treat.

Loved it! The food (salmon bento box lunch special) was perfectly cooked from the freshness of the salmon with crispy edges to the tempura being the right amount of light batter it was from start to finish extremely tasty and something I will come back often for. Also, the service was super friendly and we were well taken care of which made the whole experience even better. Thank you Sushiya for the fantastic meal! ❤

They didnt have carne asada burritos or tacos but they were very friendly I recommend the miso soup bottle of raw sake (alchoal)avocado rolls and there norewiedgen salmon rolls to start.

Ive been a steady customer for a couple years. I come at least once a week and the Chefs continue to impress me every visit. Great fresh food hand prepared by craftsmen that create artwork out of food. The blending of flavors really enhances the experience.

This small restaurant chain is not the same quality of food at each location. But! A Great one here. Food well prepared, lots of choices both for sushi and cooked dishes like teriyaki. Staff attention to customers is good, friendly and appreciate your business. Clean good atmosphere.

Fresh sashimi, nicely presented and service was good despite it being quite busy when I was there. The spider roll was long on imitation crab and short on spider not worth it. The picked wasabi is very good but they do charge extra for it. Totally worth it in my view.

Good sushi, RUDE staff... We were literally told to not ask for anymore extra sauce because she is not a dog to be fetching for us and be going back and forth!!!! This was absolutely the worst customer service experience at a restaurant in all of my life! I understand how some customers can be inconsiderate at times, but we are not those kind of people, and those were definitely not our intentions.Message to the staff at Sushiya: You are in the service industry and customer satisfaction is part of your job, if we need extra sauce or a refill on our drink, that kind of request should be expected. Your customers satistfaction is what keeps your doors open and money in your pockets!

Ordered $46 in sushi from door dash and Sushiya got my order WRONG! It wouldnt be such a big deal except I ordered an $13 eel roll and they delivered a California roll instead. Also, rolls are smaller than average with very minuscule pieces of fish.

I normally come here for my lunch because the food is good and the price is right. BUT be warned service is not great this last time our waitress had to be reminded of our drinks and appetizer multiple times and I never got my miso soup.

Been going to this place for years. Price is excellent for the sushi you get. My favorites are the Spanish roll, Alaskan, El Fuego, and the rainbow roll. Sushiya also serves bento boxes, udon, and also serves alcohol and ice cream desserts.

I phone ordered my food at 4:05 pm 4/21/14 and showed up at 5:30 and no food, hadn’t even started. The waitress, who I wasn’t familiar with said “it is not ready because it is slow” ??? eh? If it’s slow the cook gets more done in the real world. There were two couples in the whole place. Then after watching the cook wasn’t the normal cook either. Just one guy and her doing all the service and cooking. I was waiting til 5 pm for my takeout. The cook had 1st gear and that’s it. He and the waitress were arguing in Spanish about how long he was taking. Another guy was there waiting a long time also and wasn’t happy. They put his food before mine because he was there starring at them. I complained and got my food finally. I hope they are not under new owners and that this was just the Monday crew, because there are plenty of other decent sushi places to use. They did give me a free edamame, but once I got home, one of the rolls was nasty. Old ingredients as if it had sat around since lunch. It was a fried roll and I’m not sure why it was old tasting and looking. Possibly because the guy made it at 4pm and it wasn’t eaten until 5:30 when I got home, or he was in a hurry once I started complaining and gave me an old roll. I might give them a try again but with sushi I would rather not trust my health to a second rate cook. I think the main problem was the cook because the waitress seemed to be trying to hurry him.
