Sorry. First impression was good, great place, amazing atmosphere, friendly stuff and good looking food.But than, when we start to eat it - the rice is not tasty at all, plane, the cauliflower was ok, but still... The sauce can help BUT there was almost no sauce. So I can’t really eat it and than I realized that my husband didn’t eat it either.And sadly I felt like it was some not fresh fish in my bowl.Again - maybe if it was more sauce I didn’t think that way.

Caesar recommend some Poke bowls since it was our first time ordering Poke. His suggestions were perfect and calculated, and we absolutely loved our bowls! It’s good but very hit or miss on the amount of rice which kinda sucks because it’s expensive. Sometimes it takes up the majority of the bowl while others it’s fairly distributed with other ingredients. I’ve noticed the dine in bowls are much more generous with non rice ingredients than when I take my bowls to go. Also ask for extra sauce my bowls are very dry sometimes because they’re mostly rice.

Great spot for poke bowls. The fish was fresh and there was a nice variety. The forbidden rice was bland and had no flavor. But add some of the delicious sauces and youre good! They have some unique items on the menu. I asked the lady for some more wasabi glaze and she gave me a tiny amount! I asked for some more a bit later and again she gave me the smallest amount.. didnt even fill the little container more than 1/3 full. Not sure what that was all about! The food overall was really good, will come back for sure

It was disappointed experience. The order was fast, but the rice were raw. If 100% is fully cooked, it was about 40% cooked. It was to the point that I cant eat it at all except the salmon. The salmon was fresh. Do not recommend this place.

I came in on a Thursday night for dinner and while I got in during a lull, the line quickly formed behind me and wrapped around the restaurant.As far as poké goes, it’s not bad, but I didn’t feel like it was anything special either and higher on the price range than I would have expected. I got the salmon poké with their spicy mayo sauce, cucumbers, crispy onions, Serrano peppers, mangoes, and, seaweed salad.Some of the mangoes I got in my bowl were a little hard and sour. A small nit pick over all because most of the mangoes were good. The rest of the ingredients were also good, but nothing blew me away.There are definitely better poké joints around for the price. But thats not to say this place isn’t good! It’s just average and theres nothing wrong with that.

Quick and fresh poke bowls. Great flavors, with good options (but not too many).I got the small poke bowl with tuna and forbidden (black) rice and loved it for lunch. Crispy onions, carrots, and bean sprouts gave it crunch. Garlic gochujong gave it a wonderful savory flavor, and there was plenty of raw tuna, even for a small bowl.Lunch was under $10. If I lived here, Id be back every week.

That’s one of my favorite restaurants in LA. I love it’s Hawaiian Bowls!!! The bowls are made with fresh ingredients like salmon, tuna, shrimps, rice, edamame, etc. you can customize your bowl as you want. There are other restaurants of this brand in LA and in San Diego.Unfortunately I live in Italy, so I can’t eat it more often.

Ordered food on Postmates and they completely screwed up the order. The forgot my drink, didn’t add any of the sauces that I asked for, and put white rice instead of bamboo rice. Feel like you really have to try hard to mess up an order that bad… never ordering again.

I come to this Sweetfin once a week for lunch since I work in the area. The food is always great! My favorite is the spicy tuna bowl. Store manager Jourdan is very professional, knows the regular customers on a first name basis, and does an excellent job with my order every time! I am impressed with this business and highly recommend it.

If you know good poke, STAY AWAY! Terrible! To start, the service was bad. I paid extra for avocado and not only did they give me a tiny piece, it was old and tasted rotten. The mango I asked for was also old. My husband and I asked for a large, the amount given could have easily fit in a size small. Will never be going back!

First time ordering from here on a recommendation from a friend. Customer service via texting was absolutely terrible. They offer $5 off your first order, which did not get applied to my online order. When I texted to get assistance with this they said there was nothing that they could do. I then asked if I could cancel my order and resubmit it so that the discount could be applied. To that they said that there policy does not permit the to cancel orders. I did not originally want to can the order but after the poor customer service I did not even want to eat there anymore. Once, I went to pick up my order the in-store staff was nice. They offered me an overpriced lemonade to compensate for the discount that I did not get. Needless to say after all that the poke bowl was mediocre.

I recently tried this place for the first time and was not at all disappointed. I got the Spicy Tuna and my friend got the Sriracha Tuna. We both enjoyed our bowls, but agreed that Spicy Tuna was our favorite of the two. It had a creamier sauce which we liked. It was a nice level of spice--enough to give me a kick but not make me regret my life choices (Im kind of a baby with spice). The small was plenty to fill us up for a standard meal. They had Cucumber Mint Lemonade that day as well. 10 out of 10 would recommend. So refreshing! The staff was helpful and friendly. Best thing about this place was the price tag. Everything is a reasonable price. This can be a standard spot, rather than a special occasion treat.

I honestly didn’t know that you can screw up simple poke bowl. One person behind the counter running from prep station to the register and back is a joke. Really good stuff - always happy with a large signature bowl. Recently, I paid a dollar extra for avocado, and picked it up and got home and it was not there. Super sad. My partner gave me some of his. However, this last time I put on my order that this happened to me and asked for edamame and cucumber, if they would like to make up for that - and THEY DID. Which I was really really happy about. So, I dont know, slightly mixed feelings, but I think they are good at heart!

My first poke bowl experience was amazing. We came in about 25 minutes before close, so there wasnt anybody else there (a stark difference to anytime during the day). The woman who helped us walked me through all of the options and offered some suggestions as well. The bowl was fresh and delicious. I went with the Spicy Tuna and it was fantastic. When I got there today, I was told only online orders were being accepted, the problem was I left my phone at home and I dont live close by. I told her that and there was no response. Compared to other poke places in Santa Monica, this one seems to be the most crowded. personally i enjoy it but the size is a bit small for whatever the price we pay. takeout is convenient. the place has some chairs for you to sit. staffs are friendly and they know how to push the line fast. overall, 8/10.

Surprisingly delicious! Fresh fish and healthy ingredients plus an array of toppings to choose from, definitely a must try when youre out in Santa Monica. Although a bit pricey and the portion is small, you can be sure that the food is light and yummy :) My daughter just tried out some poke bowls in Hawaii and Sweetfin is not bad at all in comparison. I got a classic tuna bowl with rice and crispy garlic toppings, very delicious and I want more...LOL. Anyway, give it a try if you like raw fish. Happy tasting!

This is a cute little Poke restaurant in the 800 block of Broadway in Santa Monica. The decor inside fits with the product, although having the lamps hang right in front of the menu boards was not a good idea.I came for a late dinner, around 8:30pm on a Sunday. There wasnt much of a line, but the couple in front of me must have been asking about every possible combination to the guy taking orders on the iPad. After about 15 minutes waiting, and seeing that everyone behind the counter was waiting for an order to come in, the girl at the register finally waived us over to order directly with her. Once we placed our order, it came out quickly.I got the Sriracha Tuna bowl with bamboo rice, and added crispy onions plus pickled ginger. I was disappointed with the portion size for the price, compared to other Poke restaurants Ive been too. (Poke Bar in West Hollywood, for example, serves HUGE portions and is also very generous with the side orders.)The flavor of the Tuna was good, there just wasnt very much of it (and I ordered the large!). The bowl was mostly rice & crispy onions. Overall, Im glad I tried this place, but I probably wont be back.

Sweetfin was loud, cramped, hot, and terrible for a sit-down lunch. For the price, the amount of fish in an expensive large bowl was very disappointing. They mixed up my order (charged for avocado, but never got it), as well as the order of the table sitting next to me.There are two other Poke places within two blocks of Sweetfin. Both have much nicer seating, provide much more fish for the money, and are of the same or better quality. Try one of those instead.

My first time there I wasnt really familiar with poké, so it was really helpful that they had a Signature Poké list. They list all of the ingredients in the particular bowls so you can eventually get an idea of what goes well with what, and eventually what you like. Its really helpful for someone who is a super novice when it comes to poké.Over time Ive been able to build my own bowl which is a great option for those who are used to eating poké. All of the ingredients are fresh and taste fantastic. Service is great and speedy.I highly recommend it!

Solid, fresh poke. Good number of options and tasty. Got the large spicy yuzu salmon which couldve had a bit more salmon. The yuzu suace was also a bit too tangy and couldve been a bit more balanced. Service was very friendly and attentive and they have free refills on the in-house iced tea and lemonade. I would give this 3.5 stars as this is a solid place. I would go back again to see if the other poke dishes might elevate my score.

Finally had chance to sample L.A.’s top rated poki dive; dee-lish! Had the tuna with a fusion of fried garlic, orange slices, and bunch of other ingredients I could only describe as, “goodness-for-me-taste-buds!” Every bite to the last kernel of rice was loaded with flavor and before I knew it (despite large bowl order) it was gone in minutes. There’s a reason for the long lines -cuz its very good. Also got to chat with staff team members Jessica and Victor (one was on a dinner break and other was clearing tables) asked for best time to come and when are the fish at its freshest quality; “come early and our fish are delivered daily so you’re always getting best quality,” Victor advised. Good to know. I would highly recommend checking out this joint and see why they’re receiving high praises and ratings.

Small portions for the price, quality of fish is similar to most other decent poke spots popping up in SoCal. The worst part is the ordering system - the line is disorganized, custom orders are time consuming and the space feels very cramped.Things would be much easier if bowls were created Chipotle style or if order forms were handed out and completed before getting to the register. For a superior alternative, I suggest Seasalt Fish Grill a few blocks down.

Plates are small, overpriced, they force you to order online with a horrible process that tricks you into saving your credit card and getting ads on your phone. They say the order will be ready at a certain time but then they just let all orders pile and you have to check every time to see if they have it.

Crowded at lunch.They dont know how to handle high volume, so be prepared to stand awkwardly among the few seats that are always full-- then to wait awkwardly in a tiny corner beside the bathroom while they make your order.Good food, terrible service plan.

Service and online experience used to be incredible. Recently their service and tech are terrible. Took me 20 minutes to navigate a takeout order online then I couldn’t get anyone on the phone. I tried using the app it’s awful... ended up ordering elsewhere I’ve got a family to feed not half an hour to figure how to place takeout or get a service rep to answer.
