Sweetgreen makes it so easy, affordable and purposeful to eat healthy! The ingredients are always fresh and they are locally sourced, which I am a fan! There are numerous salads options under $15 but you can create your own as well (I get my protein from grains and plants so my bowls are usually $11)! This particularly location has the most beautiful sunlight and fits large groups! It’s also easy to park on the street, or there is a paid parking lot at the back for busy days.

Lets start with the most important part: the taste. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. Thats about as much as this place has going for it. Even with seven people serving behind the counter, it took a while to get our food, and it wasnt a particularly large amount either. I dont think I received 47 grams of protein as advertised for my plate; the cheaper salads seemed to have more content than my seventeen dollar dish.

Hands down the greatest healthy restaurant in San Mateo. The staff are the nicest, friendliest group of people. I am there 3 days a week and my order is specific and time consuming for whoever helps me. They are all so understanding and make the order to perfection. Great people, great food….love the place!!!!

I used to love sweetgreen but Ive noticed their quantities have gotten down (I only select a few for my bowl and they added very little of each!). Spicy broccoli used to be cooked but is raw now. Some stray ingredients that you didnt add make their way to your bowl sometimes. I understand they are busy and I still love their ingredients and variety of choices; I just hope they pay attention to the quantity they add and be careful to not mix things.

We order here very regularly. It’s best to order from the app and pick up. Although it feels like they give you more when you order in store as opposed to picking up the salad. We always love the salads, it’s always fresh and the staff is always nice.

I dont think sweetgreen needs a review anymore from the locals :) This is how Salad should be - they dont just have raw leaves.. their stuff is perfectly cooked and if you want raw they have that too. Such a big collection of vegetarian stuff to make a bowl and it tastes so clean and healthy and delicious. I love it!

I like this place. Go there quite often. However, my last visit I got a little bit uncomfortable. They were about to close, but I was still eating my salad. They started putting chairs and tables and putting everything away around me and kind of forcing me to leave. I understand they are closing, but I am a customer and want to be comfortable. I wish they just communicated it to me.

My first time at a sweegreen and I see why its so popular. I had the Harvest Bowl because it was the first thing I saw that sounded good. It was perfect. I got light dressing and it was exactly the right amount. I recommend having them mix it. The server was very patient with me fumbling to try to join the loyalty program at the register (I dont recommend doing that.) l forward to coming back and trying other dishes. The table area is fairly low because its all hard surfaces and the sound bounces around like crazy. One loud table can make it somewhat unpleasant.

I ordered online for pickup, two salads.First; The app does not tell you how long it will take until after you place order, but they do tell you that your cannot cancel your order after it is placed. So, it cant take all that long on a Sunday night at approx 6:45, right? Well, the app gave me a pickup time of approx 75 minutes.I did try and call. But this place cannot be contacted. A VRU comes on with instructions/information, and will transfer you to tech support for help with the app, but no local store contact available.So, I decide to head down figuring the app really does not have real-time info on store activity. I get there about 20-25 minutes before, and my order was not ready. But I notice the store is not really busy, it has a steady flow of 2 to 3 customers but thats it. Meaning that online orders are not inserted in line (such as at Starbucks) but being handled separately when not servicing a walk-in. I also notice no one is much happy working here on a Sunday night (I think there were three at most working, though a fourth would show up - maybe it was rotating break, but in any case it was not like there was a walk-in rush).My order did show, though they have no call out or notification (it will show up on phone awhile later) I missed it for a couple minutes.Second; When I got home and open our salads I had two thoughts: how cheap, and how disgusting.There is hardly much if you ordered a protein such as chicken. It is chucked full of lettuce (cheap), any about a 1/4 cup of chicken if that.And the avocado (see pictures), no doubt the most expensive part of both salads, were disgusting. And it is not like the avocado was rotten inside, it was readily apparent, meaning the employee had no problems serving us garbage.I had already registered a complaint online about having to place a non-cancellable order before I knew the pickup time and figured when responded to I would show them pics of the salad too. But several days have gone with no response to my complaint so obviously the ownership cares about as much as the employee who put rotten avocado in our salads.

These restaurants serving healthy food are excellent. They create wonderful recipes that arent very filling or high in calories out of some fairly uninteresting items. I wish there were more of these locations in the US. We always make at least one lunch stop there if there are any nearby if were travelling anywhere
