I am always happy to start my shift off with a Salad at this place. The atmosphere is great, music bomb and excellent service. This one young lady named Asia is very impressive. She always smiles, she very accommodating and very good with customers. She takes initiative and is totally a team player. All the workers are good but shes great and I always see her go beyond the norm. People are our competitive advantage.

This is the best place ever. They always hook it up with the freshest ingredients and the sweetest people to the manager is amazing and all the staff are so sweet I love sweet greens so much I never get sick of it. I eat it all the time because it’s the only thing that’s healthy and also keeps me fall through the day

I ordered a miso salmon bowl today and not only did the store take forever causing my order to be late but they didnt even give me salmon! It lists it in the name of the bowl! The least they couldve done is mark the salmon off the receipt but they didnt.

The salad was quite good - I think they excel here: fresh, flavorful, warm and contrasting textures. The hot plate let me down: the description was so much more welcoming and hearty than what was delivered- dry, sparse, like the bottom of the pan! Sorry maybe dine in is better - but don’t expect a steaming steak and potatoes kind of experience with this one.

Ordered at 2.41 for pickup at 3pm. Got there at 3.10 and food was not ready and guys said one minute till the chicken is ready. Few minutes later the other guy said it would be like 6 mins till it’s ready and that at 3.15pm. Went back at 3.25, no acknowledgment from associates and told that still waiting on chicken. 3.35 pm chicken is ready but mushrooms will be another 5 mins. The order took one hour. When the order is placed you should know what you need to prepare instead of having guests wait for each ingredient. Horrible service, rude associates who lack empathy and priority as walk ins get better service then app pick up order. They can’t commit to their order time and audacity of saying 5 minutes more for mushrooms when I just waited 40 mins for chicken.

Came here on Friday night, great customer service despite their short of staff, like everywhere else. Clerks attended to me right away as they were busy with online orders. Had the green goddess salad, great taste, unique dressing. The rosemary focaccia was ok. Nice to have a healthy, locally sourced ingredients restaurant in the neighborhood. Definitely will come back to try other salads.

Nice place, and employees. It’s just that the employees speak so fast and I’ve got some hearing problems. Then Got a Kale Caesar. The prices are kind of pricey but the salads are yummy. Overall, good experience

You can’t call to order. You have to download an app, and make an account. The app will tell you food is ready about 30 minutes before it is. Takes for ever, not worth it

Staff was very friendly and welcoming, despite being very busy. Got the Buffalo Chicken salad, which was very good. A bit of a wait to order and others waiting for pickup, but didnt mind because the staff was so nice. I wanted to leave a healthy tip, but the card payment system doesnt allow....bummer. Will definitely try again.

Food is very good and fresh. Service was weird. Every one is running around cooking things ans no one has time to actually make the salads. One worker was walking around eating a waffle in the kitchen. Didnt seem sanitary.

I just left this location getting a create your own salad. The whole experience gave me anxiety- from the employees working over my food, almost dropping condiments into my salad while working on other customers orders, calling me “love” instead of asking for a name with the order. Lastly, I didn’t appreciate the plastic containers of ranch INSIDE of my salad bowl. I wasn’t asked if I wanted it inside or out. Again, very unorganized and unprofessional.

Probably one of the slowest fast casual places in the world. Ordered a salad over an hour and ago it still isn’t ready. Employees stumbling over each other trying to prep and locate orders. Worst part I’m not even the one who’s been here waiting the longest.

I am never coming back to this location. This is round two of screw ups. Never had such issues with a sweet green before. Customer service compensated both times but I cant rely on this location knowing I will likely deal with incorrect salads, entirely missing dressing, etc. Unfortunate.

The worst location to get a lick up order from. Waited 45 minutes for two orders due to the staff inability to complete ab order. I observed both my orders tickets wait for over 10 minutes with no one in sight on the to go bar. This location is like this every time I try to pick up an order here. If you can place orders at other locations for pick up please do so, sincerely a Dasher

Love sweetgreen as a quick, healthy option for lunch in Oakland. If you live near downtown, definitely check this spot out. The workers are friendly and will generally make conversation with you as you order. One of my favorite fast-casual spots to eat at.

Excellent food. I had the honey chicken plate. Great mix of flavors. not a fan of dark meat chicken, but it worked this time.Serving area is a bit noisy with music and background noise. makes it difficult to understand soft-spoken employees wearing masks.Restaurant is immaculately clean, including the bathroom.Best of all, they use plant-based plastic ware and containers.This is definitely a fantastic addition to downtown Oakland. I will be back.

By far the worst location in the Bay Area. Literally every time I come here, they don’t have enough ingredients to make anything thing on the menu. I kid you not this has happened to me 3 times. They would blame short staffing so they couldn’t prep but literally would let you wait for 15 mins in line without telling you this. Then they blamed the lunch rush. So today I came in at 10:19am to beat the so called lunch rush and guess what? They don’t have any of the ingredients prepped again to make anything on the menu. They don’t even have hot sauce. The worker claims they were locked out until 8am which I why they aren’t ready. Not only that. They made me wait 10 minutes before even attempting to take my order. Wait a complete waste of my time. I blame management. This is by far my worst experience I’ve had trying to get a salad. What’s worst they even had someone in from regional and she literally had no empathy.

I usually go to the Palo Alto location because its close to my job. LOVE the food and they give a big portion.Today, I tried the Oakland location and I can say with confidence I will not return. The food at this location didnt taste as good as the other locations and the biggest disappointment was the portion of food. They barely fill up your bowl, skimping on the food. Didnt seem like the employees were happy to work there.

I went here the other day and had a great experience at first with all the employes but as soon as the manager, a white women in her early 30s with short brown hair, came out things went terribly. The way she treated others was so disrespectful! I do not know how the other employees work with her. I would recommend avoiding this location!!

Hooray!! I am so glad that the Sweetgreen opened. I visited in New York all the time and seriously missed their delicious toppings (sweet potatoes! spicy broccoli! steelhead!). More importantly, we finally have a decent salad place open for dinner. Since the pandemic hit, finding a salad after 2pm has been very difficult. This store is open until 8pm and going to make my work dinners much healthier.

Wo Tried this place for the first time tonight and it was FIRE. Exactly what I was looking for. Their salads have just the right balance of hearty ingredients (roasted sweet potatoe, rice, chicken) and veggies/ fruits (kale, apple, beets, etc). DELICIOUS dressings. They have lots of options, including some spicy ones. Plenty of variety here so you could go often and not get tired of it. So grateful to have found this new go-to.
