This restaurant has plenty of seating inside. We ordered pork and eggplant clay pot and stir fry fish dishes. You get to pick white vs brown rice. I like both dishes, just wish they were slightly less salty. Otherwise, a nice little spot if you are craving Chinese food. Check out their lunch menu too as the price is better.

I ordered takeout from here for the first time. Awesome vegetarian dishes with fresh crispy vegetables. Not too greasy or salty. Generous portions. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. Lovely downtown location and planning to dine in the next time.

Use fresh ingredients, very good quality Chinese dishes, Im impressed. Prices are very reasonable, clean toilets (!), nice owners. Situated in the back of the LG plaza, not easy to spot but this place is quiet. You could rest your mind here. I like this restaurant and highly recommend it.

Great food! My dad took me here and suggested me the fried crab puffs and I loved them! Super yummy and that says a lot because I’m a very picky eater. Overall the food was great!

Ming is a lovely, warm, and welcoming woman who works at (possibly owns?) the restaurant. She treats her customers like family and the food speaks for itself! My favorite thing to order is the chicken salad. Service and environment is immaculate. We have dined in and gotten take-out all with great compliments. If it’ll be your first time, dine inside and say hi to Ming!

A small, almost hidden, what is this and, I hope its good type of restaurant that serves fresh Chinese food. Homemade tofu dish includes a surprising plethora of ingredients: water chestnut, bamboo, red and green onions, garlic, cabbage, celery slivers, wow. Many clients by name-basis makes this a neighborhood favorite. The server is quick, sharp and non-fussy and the food is prepared very quickly. With the great reviews, this restaurant holds promises of more delicious creations to come back and try. Generous serving means having the pleasure to bring leftovers home in the ubiquitous Chinese to-go box.

I usually don’t review Chinese food places, but this restaurant is amazing and a hidden gem in Los Gatos. Been here a few times - takeout and dining. The food is very fresh and there are lots of choices on the menu served in sizable portions. Food is prepared in reasonable time and with enough heat. The owner is very friendly and offers excellent service. We managed to do outdoor dining (during the ongoing pandemic) where the food tastes even better than takeout.Definitely worth coming here.

Lunch Special Mongolian Beef was delicious! The fried rice and chicken salad complimented the meal perfectly. Their hot and sour soup is some of the best I ever had. Perfectly blended and balanced. The staff is so courteous and efficient. Quickly becoming on of my favorites in the Bay Area, I look forward to exploring more dishes. Come. Bring frieNds! You will leave with a smile in your belly!

It’s been a year and a half since I wrote my first review of Taba Taba China Bistro, so I think that an update is long overdue. This is a small family owned business. Ming (co-owner with her chef husband) emigrated from southern China in 1989. She’s proud of their restaurant and her relationship with their many regular customers, and she always greets me with a smile, by name, even if I haven’t been there in a while.Their enormous menu, with over 200 choices, offers everything you can imagine from a Chinese restaurant (with the possible exception of duck). It’s mostly Cantonese but they also offer Mandarin style dishes such as MooShu Pork, Sichuan style Kung Pao Chicken, and popular Westernized staples such as Vegetable Chow Mein. Their Sichuan hot-and-sour soup is perfectly spiced, and their Wor Won Ton soup (“wor” means “everything”) is a meal in itself. The dining room is small but it does have one round table that seats up to eight and another that’s large enough for six. There are a couple of cozy booths as well. It’s nicely decorated with an elaborate mural covering the entire back wall.Based on continued excellent food and service over the years, I’m raising my rating from four to five stars. But I’m not alone in praising Taba Taba China Bistro. They just won a 2022 award for “Best Chinese Restaurant” in Los Gatos!ORIGINAL REVIEW:Taba Taba is Yummy Yummy! There are many fabulous restaurants to choose from in downtown Los Gatos. But sometimes you just crave some classic Chinese food. If that’s the case, then join the many locals like me and my wife who have become regulars at Taba Taba China Bistro. This family-owned and operated restaurant is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. They offer lunch specials, dine-in service, and take-out (including party platters). You’ll be greeted with a genuine smile and made to feel very welcome. My wife and I have ordered take-out often over the years, and everything we’ve tried has been good. Portions are generous and always cooked fresh to order.Heads up: Although their address is 20 S. Santa Cruz Ave., the entrance is around the corner on W. Main St.

Alright, lets start with how yelp begins a statement...Doesnt look like much from the outside, but I was practically dying of hunger so I walked in. This place was amazing. Even though its hard to notice, and I only found it by chance, it was still amazing. This food is a tiny bit greasy but thats the main point of Chinese food. The service was quick and the place was clean. If your looking for a good Chinese restaurant thats casual- this would be the place for you!Summary:Get the LemonadeCant go wrong with the foodQuick and decent surveyNo complaints
