There is so much to say about this amazing gem of a place. Its very unassuming, but the food here hits the spot. Seriously, we have gone here once a week since we decided to try Taco Taco. We cant seem to get past the fish tacos and the fish and fries. The breading on their fish is amazing and fried to perfection. The fries are delicious as well. To match the great fish tacos is the price. $.99 if you dine there and $1.50 to go. Seriously, you cant lose coming here.

Stopped by here on a whim after a long hard day, feeling pretty wiped out and just blah. I was greeted by Alex at the bar who was so sweet and welcoming, just the right amount of engagement for someone as tired as me.She asked if I wanted a margarita and I couldn’t say no. She seemed excited that I agreed and I loved her energy! So I got a watermelon margarita, ordered some food and talked with her a little. She was just what I needed in that moment, a friendly smile, not too much talk but excellent service.The marg hit the spot, the food was good, the owner came over and checked in, also super friendly and welcoming. I was feeling so glad I stopped by, a little rejuvenated and a lot happier than when I went in. And then I got the bill.I got some chips, more than enough even for 2 so I shared with the lady next to me. A carne asada fries, also at least enough for 2 and that drink.My bill was under $15, I nearly fell off my chair. The time I spend there was invaluable to me because I needed a moment of respite. I would have gladly paid so much more. I will definitely be back, thank you to the friendly faces and kind voices I met there!

This is just a small place with wonderful food. Tacos of course but they make great fried rice, what a surprise. Great wine margaritas, I like the blood orange ones. Although small it has a great atmosphere,great service too. They have Mexican food. Everything I tried was good. I hate wasting money on bad food. You wont be disappointed. Fish Tacos are 99ct only if you eat them there otherwise 150. If you are in Poway definitely stop here.

My kids and I give this hole in the wall taco shop a 4 out of 5 stars! The tacos were BOMB! Fries were tasty and price point was decent. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu. Only bummer is it was so hot inside the restaurant, however we are in a heat wave so maybe normally it’s fine here in San Diego! Thanks y’all, we’ll be back!

Incredibly rude service from the moment we stepped foot inside to order. The woman acted like our presence was a major inconvenience. It was 11:30am on a Sunday and there was only one other table sitting inside when we ordered. After asking for hot sauce and never receiving it, we went inside to ask for it again. We found out that the woman who treated us so rudely was the owner. I guess she doesn’t care about her business that much based on the way she treats paying, tipping customers. Used to be a favorite place to stop… Won’t be back.

Hands down some of the best tacos Ive had in San Diego. Imo a Taco shouldnt cost a lot and it doesnt get much better than a 99 cent fish Taco ($1.50 if you take out). The prices are very reasonable, the staff is nice and the taste is amazing. Even the fries are really goodI got a fish Taco, 2 adobado and an order of fries for less than $10. On my second trip, 2 fish Tacos and a drink for about $5

Such an underrated resturant that is everything resturants were when I was younger and what they still should be now! Good quality and delicious food for reasonable prices. It has been so long since my husband and I had a meal that was less than $25 dollars for 2 people. Appetizers were about $3, my meal $6 and my husbands $9, just amazed and super happy to fine a great place for a nice lunch. The staff were polite and continually checked on us to make sure we were satified with our meals. Overall, just a wonderful and rare find in this crazy over priced world.

Ive driven by this place a thousand times and never had the urge to visit ... not sure why! We finally got some takeout recently, and we couldnt stop talking about what a great find this place was! We got a ceasar salad with chicken, a couple fish street tacos, Carne asada flautas and a bean burrito. Everything was fantastic tasting and plus good prices. We will be back to taco taco!

For about $10 you get a MASSIVE California burrito with your choice of protein. I picked the carnitas and they were absolutely delicious. My son chose the carne asada and, while quite good, he regretted not selecting the carnitas as well.

This is my absolute favorite spot in all of SoCal. You CAN NOT BEAT IT. $0.99 fish taco are to die for, fantastic white sauce, with pico and cabbage. The fish is so crispy and fresh. And you can add beans and rice on the side $1.95. You literally can’t beat the price. For what’s in the picture plus a Horchata, it was ~$11.50 (plus a tip!) An amazing lunch for two for so cheap and such high quality is hard to find these days. Dont go to Rubios, go to Taco Taco!

This weekend we tried out Taco Taco Poway on a whim, and it was perfect for a Sunday afternoon lunch! The food was so inexpensive, the service quick, and tasty. Fish Tacos are always only $.99 according to the menu, and the other tacos were very inexpensive ($1.50 - 2.50). Chips were only $1 for a large basket, the chicken flautas had a generous serving of white meat, and there was so much food that, after feeding the three of us for $35, we still had enough left over for another (huge) subsequent meal. Well definitely be back.

Okay the first time I went there, I got the shrimp tacos one regular shrimp taco, and the other the shrimp puerquito taco oh my goodness! This Taco is genius! It starts with melted cheese topped with Al pastor, and shrimp. Then some onions and cilantro and some spicy mayo, holy smokes! Such flavor! And you got to get a fork because all the goodies overflow from the tortilla if youre ever in Poway near taco taco, you got to try this taco.

Shrimp Cocktail Shrimp Cocktail! Its one of their house specials and oh so uniquely delicious. Made with a good portion of shrimp and tomato, onion, avocado, cilantro, lime, cocktail sauce, ketchup, clam juice, cucumber and finally a dash of Tapatio. They bring crackers and a bottle of Tapatio to the table too so you can add to taste. We had a few carne asada tacos and beers as well. Whats more perfect than that! Everything was great and friendly servers too.

Wow, been around a few places and this place isn’t bad, all the way around, food is good, prices are great, and they actually play Mexican music in the restaurant, which I love. Customer service is good and unlike some of the other places around here the food is actually worth it. The carnitas taco is no joke, one of my favorites now. The menu is nice and simple. If your around check it out. Even if it’s not for you after your visit, you wouldn’t of waisted much of your money.

Its pretty good and pretty cheap. I just tried this joint for the first time a few weeks ago and have been back twice. The 99 cent fish tacos cant be beat. Theyre not quite as good as a Rubios fish taco but theyre also a third the price. The garlic shrimp taco is nice and the burritos are darn tasty. Theyre green salsa definitely has a kick to it so if you like your green salsa on the spicy side, youre going to love this stuff. Its a cool little fast food bar restaurant conglomeration setup which makes it unique and a fun place to grab a bite.

Owners wife very rude with big attitude. I called to order to go. When I got to the shop the cashier told me she didnt have any order like mine to go. The owners wife came telling me my order was there asking me in a very rude tone do you want your order or not I said to her the cashier was telling me there was not order for me, then she said to me, no she didnt said thatA while ago I went there, when I entered the place I said good morning to this woman and she completely ignored me.Im not coming back to this place and Im not recommend to anyone anymore.

Again she was avoiding to talk with a long time customer which confused me. I asked if she was having a bad day, not fully sure of her answer but the Last Thing a restaurant owner should ever do, set a bad example witha customer in full view of 2 cooks one cashier and ai least 6 other customers inside. I said I wouldnt be back and it was like she didnt care! When a restaurant employee exhibits negative attitude they are sent home for the day. This day Olga should have excused herself to deal with possible personal problems elsewhere and not bring an operation down after so many years of hard work. The food to price ratio here heavily favors the quantity of food. While I cant say I was a huge fan of the massive California burrito I had (a little on the dry side), the 99 cent fish tacos and adobada fries I had were awesome. Supposedly, people in Poway dig this place. We went based on all the reviews. The place is a little hole in the wall and the price is good. The staff is attentive and friendly. The food is ok, but not enough for me to want to go back. I had a fish taco and a camarones puerquito taco. The fish taco just didnt have much flavor. This place is ok. The first time I went I thought it was good . I had Carnitas tacos. The second time, I had a Cuban sandwich. Stick to the tacos. The sandwich was not good at all. Just a greasy mess. The third time I was here, they were out of most flavors of soda. Service was terrible and the food was average at best. Also made the mistake of going into the mens room on the third visit. It was filthy. There are too many great taco shops in the area to waste time and money here. We wont be back..

The fish tacos are incredible and are inexpensive. This is a little restaurant near DMV and Wal-Mart in Poway, their food is like a mixture if Mexican and Chinese and it is awesome. Staff are nice. And if you sit by the bar you can use crayons and draw and doodle on the paper, its great for kids.

At first glance, this place seems odd: its next to a Walmart and the DMV. However, this place is so good! The 99¢ fish taco (available at that price everyday!) is quite good: the fish is fried and crispy. You cant beat it at that price! Id also highly recommend the pork adobado taco: simple, but the pork is tender and with great flavor. Everything on the menu is reasonably priced, will definitely be coming back again and again!
