Tacos El Superior in Azusa

I came here back to back (Saturday and Sunday) because the food is good. Real good, and they have legit music playing. I left the restaurant ready to keep playing the jams and drink a 6 pack. I didnt do it because I was full but hey thats how good the vibe and the food is. I am definitely coming back. The birria tacos dorados are bomb and the consome is bomb too. I really like their salsa verde. The Roja wasnt my style but if youre done with garlic you might like it.

Tacos El Superior replaced our go to spot for carne asada nachos combined with the fact I’m not a fan of the beef birria fad (I prefer the OG goat birria), it took a long time to try them out.Anyway, a craving for nachos and an errand at a nearby UPS store and here we are. Ordered the asada nachos and a Al pastor taco and was pleasantly surprised. Nachos we basic. Cheese sauce, not shredded, some asada and cilantro as we held off on the onions. Sour cream and guac was missing from my GF’s perspective, but was just right in my opinion. Thankfully we had sour cream and an avocado at home for her :) The Al pasta had decent flavor and edible, but clearly not from and trompo. The pineapple pieces was a nice touch though.Best surprise was the salsas. Red was really spicy, but tasty and the green full of flavor. When I saw the salsa “policy”, it reminded me of King Taco. When I tasted the salsas, it confirmed it. All good for me though. Menu’s not identical, but they are closer when I have the craving. The asada here is tastier, so that much more reason to come back. Service was top notch at the drive through as well. Will have to try a few more menu items and will update my review accordingly.For now, thumbs up 👍

Best quesabirria in the area. Their price are affordable and the best of all their place is super clean. Their customer service is great. We got a welcome greeting by their manager.

Absolute fantastic and authentic meal at El Superior. First of all, birria tacos con queso and consume is hard to find (non-truck) that is quality and authentic. This place is both. Including the whole beans (luv that) and real rice without added corn or peas 🙄. Next time I have to try the tacos and burrito. Also avail is Carnitas, Pastor, Pollo.Beware the red salsa. For me, it was tasty but hot. Excellent meal.

Who ever is at the drive through constantly forgets to give me my drink. I usually go all the time after work and it never fails he forgets to give me my drink. I drive off and always have to end up asking for it. I’m not sure how that happens if I order it with my food. Maybie someone can remind him to look and pay attention to the whole order. Other than that clean place and food is delicious but it sucks I gotta always go back..

The food was excellent the staff some are good people other they help you, other no name actually are not happy with this jod but the experience was good, thank you tacos superior gog bless your families and jods dont mind my comment thanks

Its going to sound weird but go for the FRIES! They are almost perfect. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The birria was ok but I havent tried their regular tacos or burritos but man... I keep going back for the fries. I hope the quality of the fries is this good at every location.

Don’t be fooled into thinking this is fast food. This is real food, served fast. The quality is consistently excellent, the people nice, the atmosphere is clean and charming. I like this place a lot.

I love coming here for the quesabirria combo. Literally used to go 3 times a week during my lunch breaks and it’s still one of my favorite place to eat at.
