Been coming here since late 2019 after finding online. Love this place and come atleast twice a month since then. The lady and young buff dude that have worked here have always been great. We usually like to order bulk from the start and add meat as we go. Black garlic oil has been my favorite soup base and no other spot has come close. Came in yesterday and noticed alot of new staff and happy for the older lady since she was usually working alone from 530 to 630 but mostly for slow days like Thursdays.

Great food and service. Our server was Stephen (Curry) who was really friendly and informative. The food was great and the quality was awesome. We came on a busy night so service was a bit slow (might need a little more staff) but regardless the staff is top notch and Stephen was a lot of fun to talk to. Would definitely come back again! Expect to pay about 34-49 per adult for dinner depending on the meat selection you want. The basic dinner was great for me. Kids eat cheaper so definitely bring them to experience some great food!

To be honest, reviewing because our server Stefan said wed get $5 off if we left a review. But to be fair, the food was worth the price for AYCE. We got the kimchi/umami broth. Kimchi was okay, but the umami broth was our favorite. The meat wasnt frozen. Service was actually great and they refilled our pot when we asked. Also, wasnt busy on a Sunday night.Thanks Stefan!

The all you can eat hot pot is so good. The service from Stephen is so amazing (quick response and good attitude) It is just 34.95 for all kinds of meats, seafood, and vegetables. Definitely, we will come back and enjoy it again every month.

The food here is very selected but theyre fast for service. When you go in, they will have this sheets + the menu. The sheets will give 4 rounds and in round 4, you can order more to finish it off. The time limit is 90 minutes. The meat in the supreme selection were so good compares to the other meat section. Also the meatballs were hit or miss. The cuttlefish, pork, and fish balls are the best. For the broth, they tastes so good like I wanted to drink all of it. The veggies were alright but wish they have more selections. Our server was very nice and attentive to our questions/needs. Would recommend!

Beware of their predatory tipping system -- it can be easy to miss if you dont check your receipt carefully. They charged a mandatory 20% tip (service charge) in tiny font, then asked for additional 18%+ tip after the original 20% tip and sales tax 9.6% are included.Food wise, the Prime Angus Belly was our favorite. We recommend against Australian Lamb - it had a strong smell/aftertaste due to not being fresh.

We went there on Friday and didnt know they offer all-you-can-eat, which is awesome. The vegetable was fresh, and the meat n seafood was mediocre (but still good to eat)~The only downside: both the customers and the background music were very loud... We all got headaches after dinner.It was 52$/per person after tax and tips.If I want to go again, I will try to visit at a different time, or maybe I’ll bring earplugs to this place.

I have been craving Hotpot lately so I went to @taichipotshabu. They offer an all you can eat that includes unlimited American wagyu and seafood (Supreme). For my soup base, I choose Korean spicy kimchi Dashi, not too spicy but very good flavor. Highly recommend. Next time try the intense spicy mala dashi. The other soup base, Ultimate Gyokai Tonkotsu Kuro (Black Garlic oil) not too flavorful. Skipping next time. The Prime black angus beef belly so good I ordered it twice. It was flavorful and tasty. The Premium Australian lamb was very gamy. I would not recommend for first timers, still good but the taste is strong. All the veggies was fresh cut. . I can’t believe I ate 6 plates of meat!PS. The waitress, Penny, did not want to serve me because I was by myself and they only allow at least two patrons to do the all you can eat. I convinced her I was a famous Instagram influencer and I was going to review the restaurant. We were visiting the area and craved hot pot. Found this place on Google and really loved it here! The beef belly was my favorite. And the wagyu kobe beef was my husbands favorite. We also got the ultimate one that came with unlimited beer/sake/soda. Highly recommend trying it out!! Stephan was helping us the whole time and thoroughly explained how it worked here. It wasnt also that busy when we went so wed order and get things really quickly.Good:I enjoyed all of the meats - Im not usually a fan of lamb for example but the lamb here was really tasty! We got the Supreme option so the Wagyu was really good.I liked the veggies and the option for gyoza which was pretty different for a AYCE place.Oh and the broth was really unique! I liked the black garlic and spicy miso soup that we got.Bad:This place is pretty cold, we sat near the door and it was really drafty.Also, its pretty pricey - we ended up paying $51 after tax and tip which felt like a lot compared to some other places in the area.

Long overdue review! I have been coming to Taichi Pot for years whenever we crave ShabuShabu. The supreme quality of meat and ingredients keep us coming back for more. All you can eat options and the broth is super flavorful and hits the spot. They have various broth favors for any taste buds.We really enjoy the quality waygu meat, angus beef and array of delicious vegetables. They have the creamy sesame sauce and ponzu for dipping. Make sure you make reservation online before going. It can get very busy, and they will always give reservation priority.Food:You can choose to do all you can eat for $45 a person for 90 minutes or order it separately. I find it very hard to break even on the all you can eat. You are better off ordering it seperately unless you can eat 2 to 3 meat plates by yourself with sides.The beef is delicious and cut to perfection. The Kobe is the best choice in taste and price. The lean version of the Kobe is 2nd. The beef prime is last and the cheapest of the three beef. They have an expensive meat, which I have not tried yet. All the veggies taste pretty fresh.Service:The waiter was quick to place an order, but dont add on later. It will take forever to get anything else after the first order. They constantly have someone 0pAmbience:They play top hits. The crowd is young. The furnitures are black and the wall is dark grey. There is only one large television and it seems like no one ever watch it.

One of our favorite shabu/hot pot places!! The black garlic tonkatsu is an excellent broth, the spicy mala and spicy miso are both also really good. Preface: Came in on a Sunday night around 9PM for a party of 4(1 person was still not there yet but they were nice enough to let us get seated anyways)Meal: 4 Unlimited Supreme(unlimited access including American Wagyu & Seafood)Dashi Stock - Ultimate Umami Gyokai Tonkotsu Dashi & Nagoya Spicy Red Miso Dashi. Both dashi was delicious and from what I heard, the best of the option. Though in the case of the Nagoya Spicy one, it wasnt really spicy at all...you could ask for more spice at no extra cost!Supreme Selections - Right off the bat, my favorite was the American Wagyu Kobe Beef. It had the good amount of tenderness and fat so as to not be too rough. Which brings up the Premium Lean Kobe Beef, dont get it unless you are intentionally looking for lean meat. The meat had nearly 0 fat so it was dry/coarse. Kobe Beef Tendon was too soft and such a tiny cut it was lackluster. Fish ball w/ Roe was similar like many other places and as expected, frozen and delicious when fully cooked. Regardless, I think the general consensus is to stick with just the American Wagyu Kobe Beef.Meat Selections - My party and I had 1 serving and that was it. We also tried the Premium Australian Lamb and thought it was just alright while 1 of my friend it was too gamey.Meat Ball - I had 1 order of the Shrimp Gyoza, prolly best not to bother with it. Its straightforward and negligible.Vegetable Selection - Napa Cabbage, Spinach, and Bok Choy was all fresh!Healthy Selection - Big yes to the enoki mushroom!Noodle / Rice - I really liked the ramen and udon here. Dont say you are All you can eat if you intend to apply so many constrains. Totally at most 4 rounds are allowed to order, and for each order only 1 meat is allowed for each person, and each meat order only has 5~6 meat slices. So totally a person can have at most 24 meat slices, yes thats all protein you can eat. I might sound fine if you are not hungry, but whats the point of AYCE? They also limit 4 orders of other food each round, come on! I have to say we are all still hungry after the AYCE dinner. Service is mediocre, one more star for the ok quality of meat.

Service was not great. We got AYCE with 4 rounds. At each round, some requested dishes were forgotten with no explanation or excuse. In one round we got an extra dish we didnt request. And this was before the dinner rush, the restaurant wasnt even full! Service feels very disorganized because of this 😵‍💫Also, the split receipt didnt split the tip amount, nor made it clear it was the total tip for the table 😒Oh, and squid pieces didnt have scoring, which made it hard to tell when it was done 🙁

Great place, great food, great staff. They explain everything for you and even provide detailed instructions on the temperatures and the amount of time each meat will take to cook in the pot. I enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere, the price for my meal, for 1 person, was roughly $64.00 for the pot and 2 drinks. When you hear shabu shabu, you think of a Japanese cuisine which is what they deliver. Well…. Sort of. They give a very Japanese vibe with the decoration and the way we consume the food. But the biggest downside would honestly be the quality and how they operate. It’s not really all you can eat because they limit how much you can eat in a certain amount of time with a time limit. So no matter what you do, or how many sets you order at a time, they still give you a certain amount. The quality varies quite a bit. You can see from fellow reviewers that there are high quality meat, but that’s every 4 plates. The vegetables aren’t a lot either. Just saying, as a precaution, if you need a larger portion, don’t expect to be full here. Cause I certainly wasn’t.

Be sure to get a reservation. 2 of us came here at 5:15pm on a Saturday and it took almost an hour for a table. Also the all you can eat option is probably most cost-effective, even if youre not planning to eat a ton. There is 2 options to order food: an All you can eat version and a standard hotpot version.Regarding all the rules and caveat of the All you can eat version, especially when eating late we decided for the standard version.We picked 2 of the recommended broths by the waiter, one spicy, one not spicy. None of them was really great, and we ended up using mostly the spicy one in order to get at least some flavor.The size of the pot and quantity of liquid made it difficult to put a lot of food in it at the same time, and also forced us to ask for a broth refill twice.The beef meat was OK, fish ball with roe OK (but ive seen better in other hotpots at the same price range), veggies standards, udon noodles were great, regular noodles not that much.The overall atmosphere of the place wasnt great either (could be any type of restaurant, blasting radio pop music while you eat).We probably wont be coming back as we do believe there are better and tastier options for the same price range.

I usually dont like leaving bad reviews but, this place is asking for it. Making reservation?Make sure you wait for your whole group, dont go inside by yourself, they will treat you like an animal. First time in? Make sure you make them explain all their dirty secrets and hidden fees before you order. Keep in mind that they charge you tip automatically and then asking for more on top. Waiter service is worse than fast food level. They will kick you out if they think that youve been there for too long. $180 bill for the food that doesnt even taste good on top of being kicked out. You can choose between 3 all you can eat options here: 1) Basic menu without premium beef and without seafood for around $28, 2) Choose from anything on the menu including the best beef and seafood for around $33, or 3) Go all vegetarian which is in the low 20s. The great thing is, you can also choose an all you can drink option for $10 for beer and hot sake.If you drink more than just 1 beer, this is already worth your money. If you do all you can eat, you are limited to sitting at a table for 90 minutes. This is enough time though as they bring out the food fairly quickly and dont try to slow things down. If you go for the normal menu you can obviously stay longer at a table.I like the fact that the portions you get when you order all you can eat are actually proper. Since you can order 4 times in total, you might not get really all you can eat but when I asked for some extra fish balls, even though I had exhausted the 4 rounds of ordering, they still brought them out.All the ingredients from seafood to meat and vegetables taste great and are of high quality. Especially the vegetables are really fresh which isnt always the case at Shabu Shabu places.For broth, you can choose between 6 different ones and for some you can adjust the spicy level. Their Ramen and Kimchi broths are both excellent and I am looking forward to try the others as well.Service is really friendly and helpful. They are well-trained and know the menu. The place is clean and well-kept.Certainly make a reservation online first as the place gets crowded. Even when you have a reservation, there might be a short wait time.Overall an excellent place for tasty Shabu Shabu in a solid setting with great service.

It’s seriously understaffed. Broth is tasteless. Sauce is plain and too much water was clearly added into it. It’s not as half as good as the other Shabu Shabu places in the South Bay. I reserved a table but I was told I cannot be seated before the full party of three was present. Overall, I was unsatisfied and it was a disappointing experience. If you have a decent standard for food, go somewhere else.

This is place has solid hot pot. It isnt really unlimited because they give you 4 rounds, plus its $30 for the cheapest all you can eat which is pretty pricy for only 4 rounds. However, the broths are delicious and are full of flavor (especially the tonkostsu broth). Id recommend the beef, the other meats arent great, and the fish cakes. Also, the noodles are made from scratch and they taste amazing (ramen noodles and hot pot noodles are delish). Great hot pot but the price and limited rounds of food bump it down to a 4!

I like the American Wagyu and they cut it pretty well (thin slices). The AYCE price already includes 2 soup base price (big plus) - $34.75 including Wagyu & seafood, $31.75 without as of Jan, 2019.Decoration isnt bad overall but I wish they would install the induction cooker inside the table. Taichi is my #1 go-to all you can eat hotpot around the area, because it’s so delicious and worth the price. There aren’t many AYCE hotpot places around so there isn’t much of a competition.I usually reserve a table, or even walk-in and there usually isn’t much of a wait despite having small seats available inside. I have ordered Premium and Supreme style of AYCE. Supreme (~$35) includes unlimited access American Wagyu and Seafood while Premier (~$31) has unlimited access excluding the Supreme section on the paper. I honestly think the Premier is pretty worth it if you’re not into ordering seafood and the American Wagyu for the extra few bucks. I don’t really eat seafood much for hotpot and like the other meats more than ones in the Supreme options. It’s not too expensive since it is AYCE, so it’s doable to eat enough to “match” the price for what you’re paying.I feel like it’s always going to be my favorite AYCE hotpot around, and I will continue comin here and enjoy my experience.

You cant go wrong with Hot Pot!I like to get the meat here. And then I get the spicy broth. And then they bring out a dump truck load of veggies. And then more meat.I like to put the meat and veggies in the broth, which will then cook said veggies and meats. Once the meats and veggies are cooked, I proceed to put them into my mouthhole. Usually this results in burnt tongue and heat blisters all throughout my mouth. This is not ideal, but it is what it is and theres just no other way around it!Its not like you can just take the food out of the HOT POT and expect it to be cold. And dont even think that I have the willpower to let the food cool down before I stick it in my mouth, cuz its just too freaking good! You will learn the ways!
