2023-10-09 13:21:57Such a great experience! The sushi was sooo flavorful and good. We got the appetizer platter or whatever that was good too but not all of those were a hit for me, but the sushi was all drool worthy!! Cool experience as well and the chef and his wife were both very sweet. Staff was all very attentive.

2023-11-07 18:05:02Always a lovely, lovely experience coming to Taria Sushi! We had the pleasure of coming back here twice within the last month -- We recently came to celebrate our anniversary and my boyfriends birthday. Both times, we opted out to have the 12 piece omakase and starters to share.Chef Ben and Ayako are a wonderful couple who truly care about the guest experience, their food quality, and overall ambience of the restaurant. We sat at the counter both times and Chef Ben and Ayako remembered us - we even sat in the same spot as last time. The intimate bar omakase experience is a must!Ayakos attention to detail coupled with Chef Bens knowledge of his ingredients and technique truly make the dining experience elevated.

2023-10-14 16:05:35Taira is one of the most comfortable omakases in OC. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is very welcoming, and the chef and his team are charming. I dont want Taira to get overbooked so I can keep coming, but I think they deserve recognition. There are those omakase that you sit quietly and feel intimidated if you dnt know proper etiquette,e but with Taira, its the opposite. Its fun tasting each bite. Fishes are great, and the homemade sauce accommodates each bite so well. Its a pleasant eating experience. The desserts are great, and their small dishes are exciting! My favorite appetizers are pickled tomatoes and stew eggplants. Its a more worthy place for any intimate dinner or special occasion. They have one big table for group. Reservation is required.

2023-06-12 21:53:44Where to begin!? This restaurant offers the best sushi Ive ever tasted while giving off the greatest hospitality/service. I ordered the 12pc Omakase and was so impressed. With each sushi being prepared right before your eyes, you also get a description of where the fish came from and what its being paired with. MUST TRY!!!

2023-05-19 05:56:31Highly recommend if you want an affordable, high quality omakase experience.I went here tonight with my family and all 7 of us enjoyed everything they brought out. Ben and Ayako own and run the resturant and are so sweet. We ordered the 10 piece omakase with the appetizer plate. Ayako explained each piece that came out and taught us which order to eat them in. I would eat this everyday if I could! Thank you for such a great dinner!

2023-04-20 20:57:20Wow! Taira sure lives up to its hype.My Japanese friend raved about it and mentioned she’s been going at least once a month since they opened, willing to drive from Torrance just to dine here. Even the reviews were all five stars. So, I just had to check it out.Surely, every single bite was absolutely delicious. My friend and I only talked when waiting for the next dish. I would definitely come back again.

2023-07-09 15:44:15I had an exceptional dining experience at this sushi restaurant! The service was attentive and friendly, making me feel welcome throughout. To start off my meal, I ordered the jellyfish with ume and the fried wings, and I was not disappointed. The jellyfish had a crunchy texture, while the fried wings were crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside. Both dishes were seasoned to perfection.I decided to indulge in their 12 piece omakase, and Im so glad I did. The chefs creativity truly shone through in every bite, showcasing a delightful combination of fresh fish and expertly paired ingredients. As for dessert, the roasted brown rice pudding was a standout! This treat had a distinct tea flavor that was bold without being overpowering. The texture was spot on, with a smooth and creamy consistency.I highly recommend this place to all sushi enthusiasts and food lovers seeking an elevated culinary adventure. Kudos to the talented chef and the staff for creating such a memorable dining experience. I cant wait to return and explore more of their culinary delights!
