This place goes above and beyond with tasty chicken katsu curry and a satisfying chicken and beef combo. The large portions at affordable prices make it a great deal. Quick service and friendly staff enhance the overall experience. Highly recommended!

Place is small but theres plenty of space . Ordered take out and got me curry rice and a chixken and bbq ribcombo plate. (Small). The portions are quite filling. And the service is very nice. They accept tap. Or apple pay whichever. I didnt see a sign but I asked. Also the curry plate was amazing. Would go back for more!!

Phenomenal lunch experience. Our friend and family had been reading here for over a decade and highly recommended it.I ordered the rice bowl with teriyaki chicken and beef option. Ordered the small bowl and was more than satisfied. We added a spiced seasoning mix that is available and added a great kick and dimension to the vegetable sides and rice.For an added fee can substitute brown rice, extra sauce. The service is nothing spectacular. Quick, short, to the point. Bus your own table when youre done. The food made up for it.Plenty of other options that Im looking forward to taste on future visits, from sushi to the Katsu, the different salmon variations.

Food is good and reasonably priced. Chicken and beef combo and the chicken udon were really good. The salmon and avocado roll wasnt very fresh. I should have known better than to order that on a Sunday. Otherwise, really happy with the meal.

The bowl was quite fresh but the spicy tuna can be a bit more spicier, lacking a little sweetness in it as well. Otherwise, the salmon was fresh and the rice was well cooked. I ordered the edamame as well and I think they forgot to salt it with sea salt but thats fine. The place was clean and not too busy (around 5:45 pm).

Every time I walk in, we are greeted so warmly! The food, especially the spicy tuna, is AMAZING! Literally some of the best spicy tuna Ive ever had, it surpasses all other Japanese sushi restaurants spicy tuna in the area. I know I sound crazy but its true! They marinate it with the most delicious flavorful sauce yum yum!!! Overall, great food and great customer service!!

Ive been coming here since I was 10 and it never disappoints. My favorite thing to get is the teriyaki plate and the California roll, the beef plate is also good!! Definitely recommend this place, Ive never had a problem with my order.

Ive been eating at Taisho for over 15 years. Ive always had great meals there and highly recommend them. The teriyaki chicken bowls are the best, which is why I always go back. The salmon salad is also a favorite. The teriyaki sauce is killer. I usually buy extra to put on other meals. Ive turned a lot of people on to this place and all have thanked me. My girlfriend and I just ate there tonight. She suggested we leave a review one of these days. I agreed, so there you go.

Great Japanese fast food. Always consistently tasty and good quality and good portions. They staff is friendly and works efficiently even when busy. They chicken curry is my familys favorite dish there. The spicy tuna bowl and the salmon and avocado roll is very good. Of course you cant go wrong with their signature chicken or beef rib teriyaki bowl or plate.

If you want some fresh Asian style takeout, TaiSho has an amazing local reputation. Its a small kitchen with so much to offer. Their salmon sushi and tuna sushi bowls are incredible, along with their rolls and chicken teriyaki plates. Their food is made fresh everyday. I have never had a bad experience with this place...ever! Their prices are excellent, and despite being super busy, they get your food made in a reasonable time.

I love this place! It looks like a little fast food place that wouldnt be that great but i was very pleasantly surprised. The fish tastes super fresh and its good quality. Ive had some bad quality Sushi before so I know. The salmon is super buttery and just melts in your mouth. I also love how its really casual and you dont have to be scared of the prices like any other Japanese restaurant. Last time I came here I ordered the teriyaki chicken and the salmon and avocado roll... And it was bomb! This time I tried the sushi combo bowl which is salmon and spicy tuna over sushi rice and I ordered a miso soup on the side which was great as well. I would definitely come here over and over again if I worked in the area.

The food was okay for the price. I got the teriyaki chicken and shrimp and the shrimp was kind of rubbery. My husband got the katsu curry and was not a fan of the curry. It seemed to have way too much salt in it. The portion sizes were okay for the price.

I love the salmon sushi bowl. The fish is fresh and tasty. I always get an extra baggie of seaweed. We have tried lots of other things like their chicken teriyaki and fried shrimp, potstickers, the rolls. Everything is fresh and delicious, doesnt matter what you order.

I usually dont write reviews but i feel obligated to write this one for Taisho. I discovered and have been eating at taisho religiously for the past 3 years. This place is by far my go to in monrovia/arcadia. Its affordable, healthy and delicious! No other places comes even close. I have told so many coworkers about it and they also got hooked on it. My favorite dishes as far as sushi are: salmon sushi bowl and salmon avocado roll. They are really fresh and they dont shy away and put small pieces of salmon! If i’m craving a hot plate i go for the chicken teryaki bowl or half beef/ chicken teriyaki bowl.

Good food (mostly teriyaki items). Quick service. Fair prices. I had the large katsu bowl. I wish it came with a little more sauce than just the 2 ketchup size packets. Made for a little dry katsu experience.The location used to be a Daphnes Greek restaurant which I never saw anyone visit. Theres mutton wrong with Greek food, its just not for me.Glad Taisho is here. It seems to be doing well.

Best in the Arcadia/Monrovia/Duarte area I’ve found. Excels in every way. Grilled taste is incredible without being overwhelming or charred tasting. Teriyaki sauce on point. Slightly sweet and savory as it should be. I had the combo with chicken and beef. Getting riblets for the beef instead of the usual chopped was an unexpected surprise. Very tasty. This is a decent place for some cheap sushi bowls if youre ever craving for some in the 626 area.We had two combos. The Teriyaki Beef and Chicken Combo Bowl and the Combo Sushi Bowl.
