2024-05-07 23:54:44Great spot to meet up with a couple friends for dinner on a Monday night. Most restaurants were closed but we were happy to try this spot! The ginger lime sake cocktail was very refreshing.Fried gyoza were 3/5, kinda bland.Sandstorm calamari really great with a good seasoning on top.The classic ramen was very rich and tasty. The noodles were thin (as in skinny) but with a good texture and chew. We all added the egg which was excellent! I feel however it shouldn’t be an add on and just included. It was great nonetheless. For dessert we had the taro donut, there was way more ice cream than donut, so it could have been a little bit more proportionate but the taste was very good and it was still enough for the three of us to share!

2024-06-20 22:48:34The karaage and signature tokusei tsukamen were delicious and filling. The amount of meat provided is slightly above average for a ramen restaurant. The karaage came with a generous portion of aioli and was perfectly crunch and juicy! The restaurant was half empty at 6PM on a Tuesday, but it filled up quickly starting at 6:30.Skip the cocktail that’s a riff on an old fashioned (I forgot the name) — it tasted watered down.

2024-04-26 17:40:42Taishokens SF location in Mission, like its San Mateo counterpart, is a gem. Consistently serving top-quality, tasty ramen, they never disappoint. We tried their Tsukemen, Spicy ramen, and Tuna tartare—all hits. The Samurai mojito was superb, refreshing yet delicious. The staff is kind and friendly, and the vibes are cool and modern. My favorite ramen spot to go!

2024-04-23 18:59:47Nice spot to pick up ramen in the mission. They have a “thick” noodle ( Tsukemen ) for dipping and they’ll top it off with hot water in the end to thin out the broth and for more enjoyment. The calamari is seasoned delicious and extra crispy. They’re mostly all tentacles (my favorite) so heads up if that’s not for you. The hand roll was simple and yummy. Only this place can itch this craving

2024-04-23 17:03:29Top 3 ramen places in SF.The yuzu strawberryade is great. A bright sweet yuzu punch.Got the regular tonkotsu ramen. Super rich and tasty. Good portion size. But the real star is definitely the dipping ramen.

2023-12-31 01:15:05This ramen shop is located at the streets of San Francisco, and the atmosphere looks clean and modern. It is a small place and even the menu has limited options, but the food here is spectacular and delicious. I also heard that it’s recently opened. The staff are very friendly especially when answering recommendations since we have no idea what we want to order. I really love the food here especially the Karaage, which looks different and bigger. Tori Paitan look like hot latte, which is mine. Tsukemen soup includes ingredients that you have to put inside the soup. Its noodles are fine though and quite chewy. Tofu tastes soft and crispy at the same time and I don’t know what that fried stuff is but it looks like fries.Anyways, nice restaurant to go to!

2024-01-07 20:05:23Damn. This might have been the best bowl of ramen I have ever had. The broth was lusciously velvety and coated everything in a delicious and appetizing aroma. The noodles were perfectly springy and the egg was so jammy and delicious. The karaage was so well done. Brined and juicy, not dry, and very crispy. You could taste the richness of the egg in the kewpie mayo. Definitely going back.

2024-02-10 03:16:49Taishoken is famous for their tsukemen dipping noodles, and its the one dish Ill definitely recommend. But beware if its your first meal of the day, it will feel very heavy by design, especially paired with the fatty pork belly. The chashu is one of the more interesting chashus I have tasted. It reminded me of ham but its done very well. My party and I were waiting in the cold 10 minutes before they opened and they were nice enough to let us in early. Service was also very nice. Would come back again!

2023-12-22 14:27:36The place is beautiful and great atmosphere. The flight of sakes was a fun way to try different styles, definitely recommend. The tsukemen was news to me so I apart from struggling a bit to work on how to dip the noodles it was a nice experience. The spicy ramen was something more familiar and probably why we like it better. I would come back to focus on appetizers because they seemed amazing and I didnt get a chance to try, but just like other places in SF there is a desperate rush to feed you, get you to pay and get you out, specially on a Saturday night. I’d try a less busy day to enjoy my time.
