Overestimated from the social media advertising posts, we got 4 microwaved ‘steamed’ buns from refrigerator that were still cold and dry for the bun wrap. Food was normal taste and small portion but pretty pricey …

First time for me to come and bought food from this small Mom and Pops type of restaurant. My ex-girlfriend said the food here are authentic and taste good so we tried it and bought a bunch of food to go! The place is small so expect longer waiting time during meal hours, its clean, plenty of parking spaces. They close in between lunch and dinner time so make sure youll be there during their open hours! Food were delicious, prices are moderate and I think the portion were okay!

We ordered the beef noodle soup, the pork chop over rice and turnip cakes. The beef noodle soup was just ok but it was the best out of the 3. The pork chop over rice took forever to come and it tasted bitter. It was very dry and dark looking (see photo)

Taiwan Taste is not the most amazing Taiwanese food in the world, but if youre stuck in Saratoga and looking for a place that kinda sorta does the job, this might hit the spot.At places like Taiwan Taste, I tend to order conservatively. Dont get some weird Seafood noodle dish that is on the last page of the menu or something. Go for old faithful. For us, that was the Fried Chicken Rice Plate and the Fried Fish Rice Plate. Both of the mains were excellently fried. The fish was really fluffy and tender, almost like an elevated fish and chips kind of fish. Both plates come with some stir fried cabbage, minced pork sauce, pickled mustard greens, and a tea egg.But seriously, this is the kind of place where if you play it safe, youll have a really solid meal.

These negative reviews need to take a chill pill. I didnt read the reviews about their $20 minimum for card payments until I got in the restaurant. I ate the beef noodle soup and it was delicious. When I went up to pay, I was fully prepared to order another item off the menu so I could pay with card, but the lady was super kind and told me next time. I am definitely planning on coming back since their prices are not beatable nowadays.

The beef noodle tastes ok. However, the server seemed stressed and dismissive and unwelcoming. They also had a weird rule of only taking cash for meals below $20. When I said I don’t have cash, she looked distressed and annoyed. Not idea why the attitude when you are opening a restaurant. Plus, it’s not authentic Taiwanese.

Do not recommend. not authentic. i see other reviews from over a year ago saying this place is authentic but i disagree. i assume this place was once run by taiwanese people because the sign out front is in traditional characters but the writing inside is simplified characters. ordered a chicken cutlet and it was more like a chicken katsu. it had the wrong breading and it just wasn’t good. all the food photos from 3 years ago look significantly better than what i had today. quite disappointed
