Great selection of Asian and Hawaiian snacks at fair prices. Its cheaper to buy here than to pay shipping fees unless youre buying huge quantities. The spam musubi was pretty good. Eat it as a meal or share with a friend for a snack. Poke is quite expensive.

Takahashi Market has had a long history as a Japanese run grocery store with amazing premade food in multiple musubis with multiple specialty flavors! I recommend ordering a couple days ahead if you are purchasing a lot of food or want something specific! Busy and the great stuff runs out fast on the weekends!

Its a small market that has a kitchen to prepare Hawaiian specialties. We went on a Saturday morning. They open at 11 and by 1050 there were ppl lined up outside. When you walk through the door, someone is there to get you and take your order for the kitchen. If youre one of the few that is shopping and not ordering food from the kitchen, you will see the ppl rush to the musubi warmer to the left of the shop or to the back of the shop for fresh poke or to the front door fresh butter mochi/ strawberry anko mochi, or other manjus from the Shuei-Do manju shop. There are lots of items youll find in Hawaii only. Reminds me of the little mom and pop shops on the island. We bought 3 different musubis (unagi, spam, and bacon egg spam). Unlike the hand held size youd normally get, you get a foil wrapped package with 2 pieces inside. Each one varies in price. I really like the unagi. The bacon egg and spam...eh. like the egg, but the bacon was an after thought. We got a 1/4 lb salmon poke and a 1/4 lb Hamachi poke. They both come with a side of rice (white or brown). Super fresh, so delicious 😋. Id give it a 5/5.Hubby ordered Loco moco, laulau with Kailua pork, and mochiko pork plates. Thats right, mochiko pork! They have chicken too but we wanted to try the pork. Loco moco was really hefty. Thick luscious gravy over the burger patty and sunny side up egg over rice. That put hubby in a 3hr food coma. 4.5/5. I wish there were a little pepper in the gravy. Mochiko pork was good but we didnt eat it right away so it got soggy. 3.5/5. Dad, who normal dont eat much meat really enjoyed and raved about the laulau kahlua pork plate. We bought other groceries and cant wait to make some Hawaiian meals of our own. Super fun experience. Hidden gem for sure.

The unagi/crawfish masubi is fire!! Its sweet and savory and melts in your mouth! Feels like a little shop in Hawaii in there. Parking is limited in their lot but you can park on surrounding streets.

The kindest people here! An example of a thoughtful gesture: at the register, my brother was holding onto something, and they gently offered to hold it for him as were checking out. They have a nice assortment of (mainly) Hawaiian goods.

Small Japanese grocery store with a deli/restaurant with it. You can order some food: mochiko chicken, spam masubis, pokes, etc. Everything we’ve had was delicious and proportion were decent. In the store, there’s a small fresh produce area and a frozen area. A larger area of imported Asian drinks and a few isles of Asian Snacks (a lot of it from Hawaii). I was looking for fresh mochi but didn’t find any and was a little disappointed. Prices are a little higher as a lot of goods was imported.

I love this place. Its got great Hawaiian essentials but I usually go to get musubis, poke or other items from the kitchen! They have a small outdoor seating area

Had a craving for musubi, poke and loco moco so we headed over early to this market. As you enter, place your hot food order and then pick up your cold items (poke, seaweed salad, mac salad, etc.) Near the register is a shelf for many musubi flavors. Unagi and smoked salmon is tasty. Rice is fresh, freshly wrapped musubi choices daily. You pay for the meal and they will call you when your order is ready. The workers are nice, you get your order within 5-10 min. It feels like you are in a Hawaiian market without the beach. There are about 4 tables outside to eat.
