2023-05-23 19:55:29I highly recommend Takas the sushi is always fresh and delicious. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. Owners and staff are amazing, they go above and beyond to ensure you are well taken care of. I’ve tried the bento box and sushi it was a 10/10. I would say this is my favorite place to eat when I visit Fort Bragg.

2023-04-02 18:24:50Takas is a local institution and a definite go to when you want Sushi Only in Fort Bragg. It is a favorite spot with friends and family for special occasions and birthdays. We were served by the amazing Stevie whose service is excellent and was always around to help, she made sure that the birthday girl got a special treat. The food was quick and the presentation amazing as has become standard at Takas. We tried appetizers of edemame, miso soup, gyoza and veggie tempura all yummy. The salads are fresh with tasty fish. The teriyaki bowl dinner was ginormous and every morsel finished. The Takas and Dragon rolls were made to perfection. I am a fan of their Saba, aka Mackerel, it was very fresh. I also enjoyed the best Spider Roll I have had in years. We are blessed to have such amazing food options and this weekend, Sushi is going on swimmingly on the Mendocino Coast. #thepuddingcreektrestle

2022-10-24 21:57:26We ate in the patio area, would have been a bit more comfy with armless chairs, but we were happy to avoid Covid germs. We cannot rave enough about the salmon/avocado/mango rolls, they were hands down the best sushi we’ve ever had! (Better than any we’ve had in SF or LA). The salmon was SO fresh and the flavors mixed together were outstanding. The Cal Rolls were good as well,( we had the real crab). Service was great and cheerful.

2023-07-22 19:24:021st time here & it was busy for dinner. Was seated indoors but too crowded & chose to move to the patio area which was nicer. Delicious sushi rolls very fresh tasting.

2023-09-25 20:23:18We arrived upon opening on Friday evening placed a pretty large to go order. Wait was supposed to be 20min but it took them well over am hour. The waitress definitely must have forgotten to give order to sushi chef, but they definitely rushed once they realized what had happened . Even with the wait the food was most definitely worth it everything was fantastic. Definitely the best sushi restaurant in the entire area would come back when in town . Takas was one of the best meals we ate all weekend

2023-02-26 04:18:49We ordered salmon nigiri and it was decent. Our second order was grilled salmon with cream cheese. The chef took out a to go box and microwaved the salmon. The rolls were terrible and not edible. Attaching an image of the roll, one can see that the rice isn’t coated well. The seaweed was sticky and tasted terrible. Do not recommend this place at all.

2021-11-14 03:49:47Food was good, we ordered the rainbow roll ($12.50), the beef Yakisoba ($13), and fried octopus. It was enough for two people, we even had leftovers. Portions are great. Our Yakisoba had plenty of beef and veggies. Our sushi was packed with fish. Service was great. I think they could improve in the sauce for the Yakisoba, felt a little too sweet. There is free 2hr parking on the street and a parking lot next to the restaurant.

2023-08-27 23:54:14This place has been one of my favorite places in Fort Bragg to go. I loved their Teriyaki Chicken rice bowl. It was cooked so well and had a wonderful sauce. A very simple dish cooked perfectly. I had now been here for about 4 years. (when covid started I quit dinning out). I was really looking forward to eating there today. However the food has drastically changed. The same dish now has very over cooked chicken and not the same seasoning/sauce as before, nor did the salad. In fact there was almost nothing to season it what so ever. Such a big disappointment. I was looking forward to eating there. This will be my last time going there. New Owners? No idea, but it was not good.

2021-04-17 01:05:44Their tempura is superior when compared to any other in town. The service staff do not hover over you but do make sure all of your needs/wants are met more than satisfactorily.

2021-05-30 14:01:04This isnt your typical 5 star restaurant. My first time in Fort Bragg and what a pleasant surprise. Its not an upscale $20 per order nigiri spot with omakase offering. Ill admit it was our 3rd option looking for late night eating options in town, but my family and I wanted a sit down (dine-in) dinner. Most of the restaurants in town closed at 8 pm. They closed at 9. We arrived around 8:45 and they graciously accommodated us. They provided great customer service start to finish. Friendly, didnt feel rushed, and food came out timely. I ordered all over the spectrum of the menu. Nigiri, Chicken Karaage, Miso Cod, and Rolls. Everything was amazing. I mean amazing. My 9 year olds are the true test and they loved it all. They did everything well. Do not hesitate to order nigiri. Fish was fresh, rice was perfect. Ama ebi and uni was available and were a steal of a deal. Tempura and fried items were perfect. Bottom line, no frills, affordable prices, friendly service, and great eats. Dont miss out on this sushi chef. The great ones are rare and we are so thankful that we tried Takas food.
