This location has been replaced with Tacos El Niño Santana, there is no more Tako Factory. This is just an average taco shop, but they also sell elotes. Nothing in my $50 order really stood out or had unique flavor. Meat was pretty dry, fish is average. I kept my hopes high, but still felt disappointed in the end.

Kinda pricey. BUT the most delicious authentic tj tacos youre going to find in east county. Absolutely incredible. The family is really nice very kind. I like the picnic style of the place. Highly recommend!

Amazing Mexican food! Everything is super delicious and well done in this place. I recommend the Surf and Turf burrito. The portions are big, theres plenty of meat in the burrito and everything feels fresh. The service is good. The place is small but nice and the prices are fair.

The Cali burrito was delicious and huge.Two big negatives:1) Prices need to be lowered as they are too expensive. I ordered a Cali burrito which was delicious but also $8.75 ($9.40 after tax)!!2) Dirty, dirty, dirty!!! It looks like this place hasnt be throughly cleaned in long while. Invest some time cleaning better before it gets worse.

I enjoyed all of the tako offerings I ordered. The Adobada Tako was my favorite, featuring juicy, smoky pork with a thikk sweet and spicy krust on it beautifully balanced by the roasted jalapeño sour kream. It is certainly non-traditional for an adobada tako to not have avokado involved, but Ive never been fully konvinced that it belongs on an adobada tako in the way most tako shops on this side of the border use it. Here it has been deemed entirely unnecessary, and I didnt miss it.The Q Shrimp Tako is an extra gooey, extra cheesy gobernador-style tako with plump grilled shrimp, sautéed bell peppers, onions, melted cheese, and kream sauce on a korn tortilla. Its rich and savory, and even more satisfying with a few drops of their skorchin but interestingly-flavored peanut salsa (their take on a salsa macha) provided on the side. This salsa channeled funky Asian flavors, and of kourse I wanted a jar of that stuff to take home and smear on everything from rice noodles to bread to my wife.I ordered a Chikken Chipotle Tako but they had run out of the chikken tinga that they normally would put into it. They instead used marinated juicy chikken chunks in melted cheese, tukked into a grilled cheese wrapper, then stuffed that into a korn tortilla with peppers, onions, sour kream, and piko de gallo. Chikken and cheese dont always komplement each other well, but this was excellent.All takos are served on fresh house-made korn tortillas. It is rare that a tako shop goes 3-for-3 in serving me all good takos, but this is a respektable place. I doubt there is a bad tako to be found here.

Tako Factory is by far our favorite go to for burritos, tacos and really anything on the menu. The SD Popper and Chipotle Chicken burritos are definitely favorites. So much flavor - and BIG.For breakfast or brunch, if you catch them, definitely try the wake & bake. Not your typical breakfast burrito.

Love the new peanut sauce, cant beat the complimentary chips while you wait. The Mahi taco far exceeded my expectations delicious!!! Shrimp taco was creamy and savory. Delicious everytime. Have you ever had food that was so good you try to find more space in your stomach just to eat more. Well their food is just like that. Their prices are a bit steep but its well worth it considering the food quality and quantity. The burrito seems small but its really loaded on the inside with a lot of meat.

This place is 🔥 when it comes to bang for buck and top quality recipes you can’t find anywhere else.To the big eaters! : burritos the size of your forearm (almost equivalent to the size of a newborn) specifically the SD Popper when you ask them to wrap it in grilled cheese!That and a large horchata with little ice is an entire days meal.

The food here is fantastic... I especially like the surf and turf burrito. Everything seems as fresh as can be, and has a little gourmet twist to it. Not so much that its not a taco shop, but enough that you will want to try as many things as possible. Service is great. They know their menu and are happy to make recommendations. The indoor dining is very small, so you are more likely to want to sit on the patio... the music is loud out there... you might find it distracting to conversation. i would prefer if thy offered fountain drinks, but you cant have everything.

We went here yesterday to try it since we live like around the corner,figured we give it a shot. We ordered Asada fries, Cali burrito, 2 Pastor tacos & a side of fries. Let you tell you, the pastor tacos were amazing!! The fries were good but Ive had better. So if you go you Must try the Pastor tacos. Also,the customer service was great, super friendly & they greet you as soon as you walk in, they have good music too!

The food was good. They have a huge menu with a whole lot to choose from. Much better than the average Mexican restaurant food. The servings are always large portions so we always have enough left over to last for either another meal or a snack depending on how much is left. The place is not very big but thats okay. Price range is medium if youre not poor like me.

My coworker and I came to manage a store for a week. We found this place by accident. We we’re amazed with the quality and quantity of the food. Super fresh and big burritos. The salas and chips can not be passed up. Finally the customer service is great. Very approachable guys we felt welcomed. Will definitely go back again.

This is a very hole-in-the-wall type taco shop, with little indoor and more outdoor seating. The menu is not that extensive but has a lot of different meats. The service was good, it was early so there wasnt really anyone, I got some chips and salsa and the two tacos came out right after. Regarding salsa, there was a hotter orange salsa and a more mild green one, I preferred the orange one.I got two veggie tacos, lined with guacamole and bell pepper, onion, lettuce, cabbage....these are fairly overpriced (in addition to everything else). There wasnt much flavor to them, and since the tortillas arent made there, it makes it seem pretty generic. The food isnt terrible, its just very average and not as good as the reviews state.

My friend made a huge deal about this place. Unfortunately, the two times I decided to try it I was pretty disappointed. The first issue I had was the cost. Its not super expensive all things considered, but its significantly pricier than any of the other taco shops in the area. I wouldnt have a problem with this if the place was great, but that wasnt my experience. Ordering was somewhat of a hassle. The person working the counter wasnt really paying attention, and it was really hard to get their attention over the music. Both times I went their credit card machine was down, which I can understand but is still pretty frustrating as I dont often carry cash. When I got my burrito, it was just alright. The meat was overcooked for sure, but the seasoning was pretty good. The rest of the ingredients in the burrito really didnt add anything to the overall taste for me, it just seemed bland. The only savior was the salsa, which was pretty good. To me, the premium in price and poor service was definitely not worth it for the extremely unexciting burrito I got. Can easily say I wont be back.

There best and famous item is there peanut sauce which is superbly hot and delicious. If you ever find yourself in La Mesa you should definitely give this spot a try. You might think the prices are a bit steep but they arent. They only use top quality products and the taste reflects that. Unimpressed. Prices were too high and the burrito was average. Their sauces were their only redeeming quality. The spicy peanut sauce is unique and tasty, and the habanero wasnt too spicy yet still had lots of flavor. Also, they didnt have their pastor ready despite it being 12pm on a Saturday.

Okay, we found this place a few months ago and went crazy over it! It was so good! Then they took off for the holidays and after they reopened it has gone downhill at warp speed, which totally sucks because we loved this place. Here are some of the changes: It used to take forever to get your food after you ordered it. Its now ready within a few minutes. Big red flag! My tacos were freezing cold. The tortillas were also mushy as though they had been wrapped in tinfoil hours before and had just been sitting in the warmer (which would explain the reduced wait time). The chicken in the Chipotle chicken burrito tasted and looked like it was canned chicken. It had decent flavor but it was mushy. The staff used to be really friendly and passionate about what they were making and serving. Its not that way, anymore. I dont know, it just seemed like something special before and now its just like eating at any old Mexican food joint in San Diego. OH, the final straw tonight? There wadded up USED napkins in our bag. Ew!

The best ever.EDIT: 3/2/2018 Went in tonight to pick up my food and the place was empty (it was early). While I added tip to the bill and signed, I asked for some sauces. I look in the bag and there is 1 tomatillo sauce and 1 peanut sauce. I look up and I am about to ask for more and the guy is looking at me in an irritated or impatient way. So, I dont ask, and I turn to leave the guys just start laughing. The interaction didnt feel welcoming or good in anyway. Its disappointing because we love this place, we have been eating here since they opened. As I walked to my car, I thought about tossing the food in the trash but I paid for it and even tipped those the guys and I didnt want to waste. Felt pretty uncomfortable, and we wont be back.SERVICE IS KING.

Tako Factory presents the standard Mexican fast food with an gourmet twist - and the result is amazing. The best part is, they dont even charge you extra for it! Ive yet to have anything from this place that I havent thoroughly enjoyed, from the breakfast burritos to the tacos to the loaded fries; everything is just that little extra special.One of my favourites is the adobada cut straight from the Donner - and you can get that in tacos, burritos, or on the fries!! Their surf and turf and shrimp killer burrito (the latter with bacon, naturally) are also amazing.The staff are all very friendly, knowledgeable about their food, and every bit as passionate as well. The atmosphere is light and they always have music playing (sometimes loudly - and they sing along).The only downside youll find is that you cant try all of it at once...

If you want late night frat food go to Trujillos. This however is worthy of repeat visits during day light hours. Definitely try the Adobado taco, the Shrimp Killer Burrito, and their tasty special Peanut salsa (I dont know the name but ask for the peanut salsa and they will know what you mean).I love this place! Wouldve probably given them a 5 star but they were out of BEANS! The Carne Asada fries are good. I like the chunky salsa they put on it but my 15 year old didnt. Thats not surprising though. Apparently they have great bean and cheese burritos when they have beans available (per my picky teen.) This is just 3 blocks from my house so Ill try to add a picture soon. I liked that the tiny indoor area had the history channel on but Id tippy like it outdoors, its a lovely outside. Casual, sporadic succulents abound, and wood tables also with a street view (73rd and El Cajon Blvd). Also they are a bit pricier for a fast Mexican food but tastewise, a notch above average.

The Tako Factory is probably the best Taco Shop in the surrounding area. While its walking distance from our house we only visited once, to grab some takeout. I ordered the works burrito (I forget what its called) and a carne asada burrito for my wife. While they were a bit more expensive than surrounding taco shops, no surprise, they were both generously portioned, had more flavor, and the proteins used seemed higher quality.My only complaint is that the dining room is the size of a postage stamp, and between the bar stools and absolutely blaring music I would never bring my family (with 3 year old) there for dinner. So take out forever it is.

This place is 4 stars on most days, 5 stars on Taco Tuesday!TT: Come on down from 5-10pm for $2 tacos and $2 Mexican beers:-adobada, carne asada, boiled chicken (in order of deliciousness)-tecate, xx, modelo, negra modelonot $2, but they have some amazing Mexican craft brews!Otherwise, their surf & turf burritos are enormous and extremely delicious. Also, they have rotating taps, and I had the honor of trying an IPA from a local Tijuana brewery. This place has awesome food. Me and my wife love the adobada. Their adobada fries are huge so if you arent a big eater be prepared to take some home or share. These guys work hard and make great food. Tuesday they do their Tako Tuesday and their carne asada, chicken, and adobada tacos are half off. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area and even if you arent. We travel from Rancho San Diego for this treat at least once a month but typically 2-3 times a month.

Good. I liked the adobada but some of the other items were under-seasoned by themselves. Their habanero and peanut salsa are great and when you use those, the flavors pop. Their is seating outside with music BLASTING at full volume, and a few tables inside. I would sit outside as the ordering window and access to serve food is inside and it can get a bit cramped.

Trust me when I say this! Tako Factory is BY FAR the best Cali burrito youre going to find in San Diego area. I travel for work throughout San Diego area and have tried MANY burritos but none come close. Heres why...Fresh tortillas: checkGood meat w/o fat or grissle: checkReal quality guac: checkQuality cheese: checkGood fries: checkPerfect ratio of asada/fries: checkAnd some additional flavor you wont find anywhere else with the added pickled red onion, lots of cilantro, etc. And they are always consistent.If anybody else knows of a burrito that can hang with Tako Factory, please let me know but I have yet to find any burrito half as good.

The favorite taco shop in San Diego. The owners have been producing some of the best Adobada (they call it Adovada) in town. Crisp. Spicy. Super flavorful. And they used to produce some of the best salsa BUT the owner has said after so many years, they wanted to do something new. I RESPECT THAT. Very underwhelming, did not live up to the other reviews. Tried the adobada and wake n bake burittos. The adobada, as well as the guac and 2 milder salsas, were all lacking in flavor. In fact the guac was impressive in how little it managed to taste like anything at all, just cold flavorless chip coating. The wake n bake was a bit better, with an interesting mix of texture, thanks to the crispy poppers inside. It too somehow managed to taste like a singular blob of mayonnaise-y, vaguely Mexican stuff, though. Sorry Tako =/

The carne asada and adobado tacos are outstanding and served with a variety of good salsas as well.My only complaint is that the rolled tacos are chicken instead of the traditional beef.Nice selection of craft beer and imports also. Worst dining experience Ive ever had. If its mid day and you are the only person at the restaurant dont expect the employees to correctly answer your questions about the menu, because that would requie them to actually hear you and turn down the music.Dont expect it them to turn it down when you ask the second time. When seated on the patio (only slightly quieter than inside). Oh and heres the kicker, the third time they wont turn it down either. Tako Factory Taqueria has labeled their shop, Original Mexican Gourmet [OMG]. And they really are gourmet. Tako Factory prepares the food in individual frying pans! When you order, look into the kitchen. The pans are hanging up waiting to be used. This taco place is really different!!The beef and chicken used is deliciously prepared. And beautifully cut up. Prices are a tad high because the portion sizes are really large. Since I found Tako Factory Taqueria, I do not go anywhere else for take-out Mexican food.

I am one of the blessed folks in San Diego/La Mesa area who lives about two blocks from this place. This is my go to place and they are amazing. All the food is amazing...however, the adobada is AMAZING....like seriously ridiculous. Get it in a burrito, ask for an SD Popper with adobada, adobada chips, adobada fries, taco, adobada alambre... These guys care about their craft and you wont leave disappointed. Hole in the wall at its best.

Went here for lunch earlier today; I ordered one of each tako so my wife and I could see which one(s) we liked for next time. Every single one was awesome. My favorite was the shrimp tako; my wifes favorite was the mahi-mahi tako. I also really enjoyed the chipotle chicken tako. We definitely will come back next time we make a trip to Kaiser La Mesa.

There is a limited # of seating but this fusion mexican shop has real chefs who like to put their own spin on everything they make. Vegan/Vegetarian there is something on or off menu for you. I asked for the veggie fries ( I was craving carne asada fries) but didnt want the meat. Filling, tasty. ate half and finished the rest the following day. small hot sauce containers.
