Takumi Japanese Restaurant in Fresno

Really nice place and wonderful decoration i would recommend the chashu pork ramen it really good and light, the chashu pork melts in your melt. The only Cons are the noodle are abit too overcook needs to be more firm and the portion are small wish there a bigger size other than that it really good.

Welcoming and serene atmosphere. We chose the teppanyaki lunch, and it was delicious, I loved the bacon fried rice, and the miso soup. They also have deep fried sushi, which I havent seen in other similar restaurants. I highly recommend Takumi

I was in Fresno on business, came here for lunch. We ordered the spicy edamame appetizers which were delicious and spicy, my daughter had some sushi and I had the lunch special with steak. The fried rice with bacon was delicious! Also, the steak was tender and the veggies were cooked perfectly. The onion that they set on fire was pretty cool! I had a blueberry cocktail which was delicious also but all their cocktails sounded so unique and delicious I wanted to try them all! The staff were all friendly and helpful. The only glitch we had in eating there was that I initially called to see if there was a wait. I had an event to be at so I needed to know the timing. The hostess told me she could not tell me the wait over the phone, that I had to go in person. I told her I could not go in person because I couldn’t waste more time. She said she couldn’t give me the wait time, so we hung up. However, I called back and asked to speak to a manager. I told him my situation so he told me he could accommodate us. So it turned out well - We ate some good food and we got to our event on time. Thank you!

Almost always immediate seating at the sushi bar. We had several roles and shared a sake. All the staff was great, restaurant was pretty busy especially as we were leaving. They do take reservations for large groups. Quickly becoming one of our go-tos for sushi, since Oishis on Ashlan closed.

Beautiful family owned restaurant, fantastic food, great staff, very clean and lovely place. The server was very attentive and the show was very cool.The steak was cooked perfectly, and its the best lobster Ive had, definitely recommend it.
