Tama Sushi in Huntington Beach

Very small, cozy family friendly place. We went in with our family and felt very welcomed to dine in. Most Restaurants don’t even ask if it’s your first time here anymore and they did. We have a young toddler with us, and they went out of their way to entertain our toddler, with conversation, stickers and smiles.The parking lot was easy, seemed packed but there is parking towards the side and back. The wait was a little long but they let us know that some items take longer than others - but the food was great, even they care about the presentation of it. The service you can definitely feel it’s family owned and they care. Would definitely come back.+ for family friendly+ vegan and regular options+ for parking lot

I was so sad to hear that Blue Bird Sushi closed and super excited when they opened back up in HB with Tama Sushi. The flavors are all great and well balanced. My favorite has to be the Fresh Roll, I can eat two of them easy. The takeout service is also really fast and the same portion size as dining in, which is really appreciated.Update: The service here is amazing, they refill your tea many times and are constantly checking if you need anything. The rolls are filling, creative, and fresh. The banana tempura dessert was so good! It was light, not overly sweet, and warm with creamy ice cream. I can’t wait to try the rest of their rolls.

Casual sushi spot that offers vegan and traditional options. We ordered 4 rolls, a tofu bowl and two drinks that came w 2 miso soups on the house, and everything was delicious! We had to take some home cuz there were only 2 of us, but I would love to come back. Just too bad its a bit far from me thats all

A good place for groups with mixed veg/non-veg people because they have plenty of vegan options that arent limited to sushi.One complaint is that the vegan food took extra long to arrive so I had to twiddle my thumbs while the rest of my family ate 👉👈.

I went last Saturday and I really liked the service. They have nice seating outside and few tables inside. My friend an I sat inside. I also liked they have vegan options and non vegan. I ordered chicken with rice and also 8ct California Roll. I tried for the first time a Japanese soda and the server offered to open it since I wasnt very comfortable trying to pop it. As you can see I finished my plate, towards the end I squeezed a bit of the lemon to the rice and it give it a flavorful taste that I enjoyed. For my California Rolls I like it with lots of Sriracha Sauce. Thank you for the service and I will definitely be back!

It’s great! Food is fresh and delicious, the menu is very unique. I would recommend it to everybody, young, and old.

Came for the vegan sushi and was not disappointed!! Tama and the staff were incredibly helpful and made us feel right at home. I only had a chance to try a few of the rolls, but will definitely be back to try more.They were previously based in Long Beach (as Blue Bird Sushi), but never visited that location. In the hour or so we stayed for lunch, there were at least 3 parties who seemed like regulars who went to the Long Beach location. Glad to see this family owned restaurant has a dedicated clientele, which now includes myself 😊

Five stars arent enough!!! The food is always fresh and the staff goes out of their way with service. The portions are generous. I eat here at least once per week. Sometimes twice. Dont take my spot at the sushi bar. Hahaha.Chris Larson
