The cuts of meat are incredible, although small portions. Id recommended starting with the cheaper cuts and working your way up to the Wagyu - after youve had the Japanese A5 Wagyu, the other cuts are ruined for you.Ive heard people describe the Wagyu as being like butter, but when I first tasted it, I immediately thought that it was like delicious beef bacon.

I ordered the Celebrity Wagyu Set and it come with 6 different type of beef + kimchi and salad. Meat was great, worth of the price, and the salad definitely can help with reduce the oily taste from wagyu. I would suggest to eat with rice too, yum! The waiting was ok, I made appointment at 7pm, but they didn’t reserve any seats for me😑 I arrived at 6:55pm, have to stand there and wait for another 15-20 mins with other ppl that doesn’t have appointment, then what the point for making appointment????

Our second visit to the place but the experience was not as good as two years ago. We are not sure is it because of the pandemic but the quality of the meat is really not on par with its price. Only the Japanese A5 steak and American premium beef tongue are fresh and juicy. All other three American limited menu items are really more like average choice level meat. Quite disappointed while paying the premium price with average meat quality. I only have 1 word to describe this place phenomenal. From the food to the service, everything was absolutely perfect, they have a very nice patio in the back with a heater so you dont have to worry about the cold at night. The food was delicious and Ive ordered a beef tower; it was amazing 😌 the beef was soft n melted into your mouth, the soup was good also but the dessert had too much sugar in it; I can only eat 2 spoons. Anyways I cant wait to come back to this place to try more food

What an amazing meat they have! So yummy. Very tender, juicy and fatty. Our whole family including 3yo and 5yo enjoyed it so much. Original pancake was delicious as well. The only downfall is that they dont have complimentary bachan (the side dishes). However it didnt stop us from returning. The prices are higher also but the quality of meat deserves it. Avocado kimchi is good but a little salty. Definitely coming back again

My favorite Japanese BBQ in the world! My favorite bbq in the world!!My Japanese friend took me here for lunch at the first place. Their lunch set was very cheap and delicious. I got beef, salad, rice, and soup.I has been 10years since my first visit. The quality of food is always the same as good.Sadly they no longer offer the lunch set now.So this time I got beef beef tongue, rid eye beef tail soup and they are still amazing as usual. If I still live in CA, I will go there Every week.

If you are looking for some Japanese BBQ with some high quality meats, you much check out Tamaen. The meat stairway is a must, and its a good amount to share with 2-4 people. The onion pancake is also a must here. Price is not too bad, definitely a good value.

Shinju was exceptionally talented at making us feel welcome at her establishment and seemingly commanded the restaurant with minimal support. The restaurant is delicious and I especially suggest trying the bibimbap. We will be back!

The meat is the most delicious!We always go for Short Ribs and the Oxtail ramen soup. The chicken leg is awesome too. It pairs well with hot sake. The overall bill usually comes to around $ 80 ; before tips.Get that, the toilet seats are heated. Its a hight tech Japanese installation with bidet function. They also offer cloth towels; like a hotel.
