2023-12-07 05:12:21A wonderful experience with delicious food and outstanding service. Food and drinks were served promptly but without feeling rushed, waiters watched the water glasses and topped up regularly and atmosphere was spot on. Not too noisy or quiet, easy to chat.I had the prawns and garlic noodles, which were beautiful and my lunch partner had the cod. Very much looking forward to returning and looking around, its designed for groups, pairs or dining alone at the bar. A very well thought out restaurant. 🍹🍤🐟🍜⭐

2023-10-19 08:18:17I recently dined at Tamarinw, and it was a five-star experience from start to finish! The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The menu offered a fantastic array of authentic Vietnamese dishes, and I couldnt resist trying the tuna tartar, which was a flavorful delight. The fresh gelato scoops were also a highlight. Everything was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I cant wait to return and explore more of their delicious offerings. If youre looking for an exceptional Vietnamese dining experience, this restaurant is a must-visit!

2023-08-01 04:42:24This is one of the best restaurants I have been to on University Avenue. The food is excellent with aesthetic presentation rarely seen at other Vietnamese restaurants. The sautéed beef and lamb chops were favorites among the party goers. The private function room could host about 30-40 people.

2023-08-06 06:02:58The atmosphere is pretty nice. You may need to make reservations if its during the weekend. The food is descent. It is leaning more towards fusion with some creativity. I didnt feel strong Vietnamese style from the dishes I ordered. Its also a bit pricey.Overall, good for special events.

2023-09-13 02:17:02My colleagues and I had a team dinner here last night and it was a lovely experience! Such kind servers and attention to detail for those on my team who have dietary restrictions. It was quiet enough to hear everyone around the table and yet the restaurant was full. The food was excellent and I can’t wait to go back.

2023-06-16 20:13:05Had this place saved for a while but our experience was a little disappointing. We came here without a reservation and we were seated at the bar. One of the glasses we got was chipped and had a sharp edge, my partner almost cut his lip. There was no recognition or apology when we pointed out the chipped glass. We got the shaking beef, garlic noodle, black cod, Brussels sprouts, and the appetizer platter. Shaking beef was very tender but I found the sauce to be too sweet. The black cod’s flavor also felt imbalanced and leaned towards the sweet side. Garlic noodles were very flavorful and had a really nice Smokey taste. Brussels sprouts were good, the shiitake mushrooms added an extra touch. The appetizer platter (tamarine taste) is definitely not worth the price. None of the appetizers were memorable and the sauces looked like they came straight out of the sauce packet.

2023-07-22 14:34:39Actually, this is my second visit to this place. I am fascinated with this place. The food is exquisite, the Papaya salad, Lamb chops, and fried rice were one of my favorites. Everything was delicious. The service and atmosphere is very good. Next time I visit Palo Alto, I will be here for dinner.

2023-08-04 02:37:21Last time we had their beef pho noodle it was amazing, so we came here during dinner time hoping to get it again, but found out the fish is only available for lunch. We ordered beef satay, blue crab tacos, tea leaf beef, tamarind roti, and clay pot cod. The dishes are not bad, but for some the flavors could be tuned down. For examples:- blue crab tacos, the crab was actually very salty and there was a lot of lime sauce on it. I could barely taste the crab flavor at all- beef satay is okay, but still slightly salty- tea leaf beef has a nice balancing flavor. I recommend it- clay pot cod, the cod fish has such a nice layering texture I wish they just let the fish shines, but the sauce was overwhelming. Youd have to eat with rice or bread, despite that, I think they couldve tuned the sugar down.We sat at the bar, didnt get any drinks, but the service was very nice.

2023-02-22 06:36:15Amazing service, food was okay. The Brussels Sprouts was spectacular though. We had our teammates food restrictions all sorted out with attention. The restaurant is pretty small, tables are a bit too close so you might want to consider a private room is you need to discuss sensitive business topics. Plenty of vegetarian options.Chicken Meatballs were still pink inside, we returned the dish.
