NOT a fancy place, but very good food for dinner!Dinner food was excellent, with nice crisp vegetables in the dishes and nicely cooked food, plus for no apparent reason we received a bonus dish (entire plate) of fried chicken for free!Ordered a pork-belly dish, chow fun, scallop & shrimp & sugar-snap peas, fish maw soup. When you add in the free fried chicken, what was enough food for two meals for three people came out to just over $100 before tip.Be warned that the place is not fancy, and dinner had few diners even on a Saturday night; the lights were actually turned off over much of the restaurant. This restaurant deserves to have more customers!Also be warned that ordering consists of marking up a paper menu. The Chinese and the English descriptions of the dishes arent necessarily lined up with the boxes where you mark the quantities, so be careful that you clearly indicate which dishes you want.
Service was super slow. Waited a long time for someone to come get our order. We seated ourselves in the outside seating tables. Took a few minutes for the waiter to come around and gave us the menu and after we had ordered we had to wait around for another 20-30 minutes before the dim sum came out. The items came out one by one. They did not have the usual dim sum carts with the ladies pushing them around. The worse part was we were charged $1-$1.10 for each of the to go boxes that we needed to carry our leftovers! Ridiculous! Will definitely NOT return! Food was not the best.
Good, solid dim sum. Was able to make a reservation for a table of 12 the same day. The restaurant was large, brightly lit and clean-looking.The dishes that stood out for us was the Har Gow (crystal shrimp dumplings), Ngao Yuk (beef meatballs), Siu Mai (pork and shrimp dumplings), Lo Bak Go (pan-fried radish/turnip cake), Liu Sha Bao (lava egg custard buns), and How Choi Gau (pan-fried chive/leek dumplings).Id avoid the Don Tot (egg tarts) and Mai Lai Go (yellow steam cake)...they are better elsewhere.
Overall, the eight of us enjoyed the food very much. The steamed spareribs were a terrible disappointment. Absolutely no flavor whatsoever and I have low sodium taste buds. That was a waste of money.We were pleasantly surprised that the food came out quickly but so odd they bought out the dessert first. She explained if we didn’t take them now, it may be a very long wait. She substituted one order of Macau egg tarts with the regular ones because that’s was all they had at the moment. She didn’t give us the option of waiting for the third one but just gave us one plate of the regular egg tarts and didn’t bother adjusting the price difference. Even though it was only $1 less, that’s besides the point. We managed to get a sever to make the adjustment after explaining twice of the situation. The staff doesn’t have a strong understanding of English.Our server did, however, cane back to confirm an item, thinking I meant to order a similar item. He was correct. Sometimes the English description on the menu is not exactly what you think. I appreciated him being very helpful even thought he missed one item completely and it was never placed.The staff was nice, no one had an attitude but there is still room for improvement. We would definitely come back even though we prefer dim sum carts.
Servers are very lackluster. Dim Sum was not the best ever. Everything was OK. The 2 stars is for ALL the servers seeming disgruntled and not wanting to be there. Probably will not return.
Dim sum pork ribs, tripes and chicken feet were very undercooked. If you cannot bite through something without tossing it out, then its not edible. All dishes were overpriced compared to other dimsum establishnents. Virtually no service once you sit down and food arrives.
Food is pretty okay for dim sum, the roast pork was a ripoff, and the char shu bao on the menu stole photos from a certain other famous restaurant-- the actual char shu bao here are nothing at all like them.They are still more baked-bread-like than the usual ones, and are actually very good, but the picture theft is disappointing.And something about the employees-- they all seemed harried or otherwise unhappy to be here. Or maybe just on the ragged edge of overwhelmed? Either way, as nice as the interior decor upgrades are, something about this place was not particularly enjoyable. It was pleasant enough, but not enjoyable.
Prices gone up since covid. Slightly reduced menu but quality of food remained excellent. My top choice for dim sum lunch. Note lunch time ends 3pm.
Not too many dim sum restaurant provides indoor and outdoor dinning. I found this gem facilitates both indoor and outdoor dinning. Their dim sum portion is huge. Great customer service.
I have been frequenting some incarnation of this restaurant for the last 20 years, and this one is the latest one. Their food and service were pretty good, and because I went just after the grand opening they were still running a promotion. My only gripe is that they have a strangely faulty credit card machine - it doesnt read all credit cards. (Not just that they dont accept one particular payment network). I ended up having to swipe 3 cards to find one that worked
Little too expensive n the dim sum is ok. Waiters was slow moving. They don’t pay attention to customers. It took them almost 10 mins take my order. But it did come fast! Other than that. It’s ok!
Great dim sum...rushed beleaguered staff, but the food comes with 15 min...can dine in...we asked for the Chinese hot mustard ...we were told go serve yourself at a condiment station near register....try the crispy char sui bao, its white and has crunchy bits of what looks like corn flakes...the sui mai are huge...the egg rolls are filled with black fungus and veg...overall delicious...ordered crispy chow mein to go, came with 20 min...it was awesome.
Food was better then expected and the service is good, but most of the servers ONLY speak Chinese. So dont expect amazing English service. But they are nice and fast.
This is a new chinese restaurant that is located at where empress harbor used to be… the dim sums are not at one price for small, medium, large… so i felt more skeptical to order compared to the other ones i typically go with my parents on sundays… they try to have more innovative dim sum choices… but i dun think i like them… i prefer the traditional choices given how they dun seem to be very well made… the dim sum all seem to have collected condensation and not piping hot…the worst part of the experience is that i found a piece of blue fiber from one of those scotch dish scrub sponge in the skin of the shrimp dumpling… i told the staff about it… and they all try to tell me is just the green asparagus… ~~”not think im impressed to go again…
They say you should not dine alone but it was Tuesday night and I was feeling like an emperor!

The blinds were not cooked yet, so I asked them three times, and four people came. Their attitude in handling the matter was okay, but they finally left. But the taste is average
The place is spacious and the quality is average. The worst thing is the fried rice noodles, don’t order that! The service is acceptable, but it is not suitable for the elderly and disabled people because it is on the third floor and the lift has long been broken, leaving only the escalator, which is very inconvenient! Go to the management office for help. The manager will ask you to go to the restaurant manager, who will ask you to argue with the manager. It’s not like there aren’t other restaurants that will definitely suffer! I wont go to this damn place again! !
The price is very friendly, especially after the epidemic, it still maintains the standard. I recommend the rice rolls and French baked meal buns. The rice rolls are especially smooth and tender and amazing, the meal buns are also very fragrant, and there are also beef offal and pig meat that are rare in other places. Basically, there was nothing wrong with it. The only drawback was that the fried beef river oil was too much. Maybe because of the large amount, many lumps were not stir-fried evenly, and the pot was a bit lacking in gas. But it’s still delicious. I’ll go there again.
I really liked the dessert,Not much of the food, not because it was bad, but because I dont think Im used to those flavors... The Chinese food Ive tried in my country is different. The place is beautiful, clean and I am very attentive and helpful...we were the only two Latinas in that huge room full of people from Asia!!

2021-07-23 18:32:39Place was lively on a weekday lunchtime. Feels like the Chinese folks in the know love this place. I love seeing the bad one star reviews. Yes please stay away. This place is so good I’d like to steer people away and keep it all to myself. They are taking covid protocols well. Keeping things very clean and also have some limited outdoor tables. The food is just beyond amazing. Basically order anything off the dim sum menu and it was delicious. Prices are on par with other dim sum spots. The stand out was the baked crispy pork bun. If you don’t wanna believe this review. Please please take the advice of the one star reviews and stay far away.

2019-09-14 15:57:45Dinner was excellent. I have not tried dim sum yet. The interior is clean and new. Seafood was very fresh and prices were reasonable. We had lobster, geoduck clam, and fish. The geoduck clam was cooked in two ways--sliced/stir fried with veggies and the shell portion was cooked in a soup which was really good. The fish was also cooked two ways-- filleted and stir fried with veggies and the belly, fins and bones were fried and then cooked in sauce...all very good.

Their dim sums are ok as it offers the usual Cantonese style dim sum like Ha Gao and Xiao Mai. This is not the same as the restaurant chain with the same name in China. The food varieties are different on the menu. Will not come back again

2019-08-24 02:45:55Recommended for dim sum yum cha but price per dish was a bit higher than other dim sum places in the area, regardless of Small, Medium, or Large dim sums. Egg Tarts were well worth it with very crispy crusts and standard Shu Mai also good choices. AVOID Roasted Pork Belly with Macao Style. Menu states photos are for reference only and they really mean it with this order. Photo in menu looks like a generous plate with 20 pieces. The real dish had 12 and laid out in such a way to look somewhat scarce (one piece was eaten in photo). Its a small complaint but it was a premium dish so other restaurants (Monterey Palace) serve this better. If not for this incident, would have rated 4. Management kept insisting this was the order they serve and that of course its a little exaggerated as its a stock photo but despite the fine print, it felt misleading (other dishes we ordered with photo references matched quantity [egg tart]). Order swapped with a Beef Chow Fun which was good. This is a new restaurant and interior is very...grandiose (excessive gold theme borderlining tacky). One other complaint is the table set up. It felt uncomfortable that the tables and chairs were set such that people had knees touching table leg frames. Would have preferred if one of their morning setup checks was to make sure tables were organized so there was actual legroom underneath for customers. Would still remain on list of dim sum places to go but is middle pack.

2023-09-05 17:25:44The one star doesnt mean it is bad. It just that it is closed. The notice on the front door says it is temporarily closed. I just have to wait and see if it opens again, and I hope it will. I had been to this restaurant many times. It is sad to see it close.

2023-02-13 04:33:39I came to this restaurant for a Chinese New Years banquet tonight. The food was SO BAD that I feel compelled to write a review. I got through 6 dishes and decided to leave because everything tasted bad and I couldnt stomach much of it. Its a wonder they can serve such that Chinese food in the single most competitive Chinese food community in America.

2023-03-08 10:04:40I was surprised that their dimsum was pretty good. I believe they still make their own dimsum instead of buying frozen. During the pandemic, most other dimsum restaurants no longer hire dimsum sifu and they just buy frozen from vendors just to survive because it costs too much to hire them. Nowadays dimsum tastes the same wherever you go. Ill definitely come back here for dimsum from now on

2022-08-05 08:13:52I ordered a few Dim Sum dishes from Tang Gong by using an App. The food was overall worse than what I remember. The beef balls and Chinese chives dumplings are still pretty good, but the shrimp meat in the shrimp dumplings are not fresh. The rice noodles in the beef chow fun are all in small pieces. TBH it’s quite disappointing considering its pricing is not low compared to many other Dim sum places in SG valley.
