Brought my partner here who is Filipino & missing home cooking since moving far from family. The happiness this place brought him was awesome to see 😊.Everything was fresh, perfectly fried crispy without being greasy, & so flavorful. Really filling portion sizes. The juices are super yummy too!Large menu with so many options. Staff were friendly & the atmosphere was cozy & inviting. Will definitely be back to try everything else on the menu!!

I love Tapsilog. Come here all the time for lunch. My favorite is the Longsilog, which is sweet sausage with garlic rice and a fried egg on top. But you can get the egg scrambled too, I think. And of course Shanghai lumpia on the side which is chicken in a pastry type roll and deep fried, kind of like a small egg roll. Indoor and outdoor seating. They sell drinks. Pretty fast and friendly service.

We took mom for her birthday, she wanted Filipino food. We havent been to Tapsilog in a long time. With more people, you can order extra food to share family-style. We ordered BBQ pork skewers, spinach laing, dinuguan, Shanghai lumpia, lechon kawali, and garlic rice. The servings were generous and the food tasty. The service was friendly. I liked that the lechon was fried but not dry and the skin was crispy. My parents appreciated that the food was not overly salty as well.

My first time exploring Filipino restaurant, and I really enjoyed the food. Loved lumpia, pork and beef and the fresh watermelon juice in great blend. The manager, Sara, was very courteous and very patient and the business is lucky to have great employees there.

I come here at least once a month! Amazing Filipino breakfast.Every time I come here I forget to take pictures because I eat so fast lolMy typical order consists of pork sisig with two eggs, a side of garlic rice and a fresh melon juice. If I come with people we usually add chicken and pork skewers, and some kind of tocino or sausage with eggs and rice.Other items I have tried that are really good is their adobo chicken, pork sisig, pancit and sisig fries. I haven’t had the chance to order fish but hopefully I can order some next time.I like this place because if fairly affordable and great food for the value. Definitely recommend if you are in Campbell area

Was looking for a place to ind some nostalgic flavor of Kare-Kare specifically, and they didnt disappoint! Paring it with Garlic Fried Rice, Bagoong (shrimp paste), and Calamansi Juice hit me right in the childhood! Its also an awesome spot to have them take care of your Filipino catering fix and frozen goods! A must try! Will definitely be back! Awesome service as well!

Ive been here several times since it was close to my work. Ive brought coworkers here who havent had Filipino food, which they did enjoy. You cant go wrong with lumpia Shanghai!Food is pretty good overall. But sometimes, when you have a certain expectation on how a certain dish tastes, its not the same. Everyone makes their dishes differently. Its not a criticism, just my opinion. :-)

Comfort food Filipino style.....Wow! Stopped in for our first visit. Ed, the owner greeted us personally like he does with all customers. Offered us menu suggestions based on what we were in the mood for. Our meal came very fast. Food was fresh, very quick, tasty and there was so much food, the portions were huge. Came here in April 2021. Recommended by my cousins Filipino wife. They primarily go there for breakfast, however we decided to try take out for dinner.We ordered fried pampano, chicken wings, lumpia (egg rolls), lechon (fried pork), pancit (fried noodles), longsilog (Filipino sausage), pork skewers, and a pork meat dish.All the food was well presented and tasty. Please note, that I have little to no experience with true authentic Filipino food. I have personally tried a multitude of cuisines in Asia, however not Filipino food specifically. My non-Filipino-expert taste buds really liked the different flavors and textures of this meal. My favorites were the fried pampano and lechon (crispy skin pork). The lumpia (egg rolls) and other fried items would be better eaten at the restaurant to keep the delicate crisp nature of each dish.All in all a very good experience and I will be coming back.

I had the Kare Kare with fried pork. You can see it in the photo. It was tasty and unique and awesome. A little too fattening with the peanut sauce plus the all the fried pork.The fried pork is something I havent had much. Tough on the outside and soft on the inside. You can see it in the photo. I would definitely recommend it because it’s so unique.Overall just a really well done meal. Delicious and unique.Carla, Chad’s girlfriend, is from the Phillipines and likes the bangsilog. She said I need to try the tapsilog because that’s what the restaurant is named for.The Tapsilog was good overall. Cutting into the egg and eating the yolk that poured over the rice was delicious. The rice is garlic rice but tastes similar to regular rice. My favorite part was the beef, which had a unique taste. The best way to describe the meat is it had a taste and texture like beef jerky, but more juicy than beef jerky.We had the Lumpia Shangai appetizer and they tasted like you expect: egg rolls with meat inside and sweet sauce on the side. My friend liked them but tbh I thought they were too unhealthy… I mean just fried bread and meat. Not my thing. However I ate a lot of them so that also tells you something 😆Also my friend and me added a lot of vinegar on the tapsilog. He really loved it but I found the vinegar made the meal too salty (it’s not just vinegar it also has garlic and other things, probably salt, in it). This is just a side note for me personally… most people may like the vinegar on the tapsilog, especially on their meat, and it’s worth trying once.I had the sauteed veggies with mussels. Personally I didn’t like it. I was looking for something low salt and healthy, but it felt like it has a ton of salt on it, and it only tasted okay. It’s a weaker item on their menu in my opinion.

Very happy we went here. It was oh so busy during lunch. The parking lot was full. We had doggies and were seated outside the market. Slight wait but good service. I got the lechon kawali silog, and everything was cooked just right. The rice was tasty. The eggs cooked perfect. The lechon was crispy, juicy and fresh. Good meat! My husband got a pork sparerib adobo burrito. It was huge. It has rice, 4 lumpia, 2 eggs and pork inside. Very tasty. I also cant forget-- they have mimosas! The Nafrada mimosa is tasty with champagne, calamansi juice and strawberry puree! Rare treat! I was so full! It was all so good. I highly recommend coming here!

Came here to try their silog varieties and ended up ordering the lechon kawali silog. Lechon was crispy & seems ok. Price kinda affordable but slightly high. The interior has a lot of memorabilia and has a little mini-mart to shop. I was not satisfied because I haven’t tried the other food on the menu and need to. Will visit this place again when I’m close in the area.Update: went back again and tried their ear sisig, not that impressive. However, their crispy pata was a delight and the portion was huge.

Tip: 1) Come with your Filipino friends and have them order 2) Check out the Tapsilog market next doorHappy hour from 2:30-6:30PM, good drinks and appetizers (not that cheap though).Food and service were both great. My friend ordered the tocisilog (?) with garlic rice (my favorite), sisig fries (delicious!), and the pork belly kare kare (not good, large pieces of super fatty pork belly fried and tossed on some steamed cabbage and beans in this liquids peanut sauce, not easy to eat nor yummy). Get a calamansi mimiso or lychee sangria, or a dessert like halo halo.

I wasnt in the mood to drive all the way to Fremont, so I figured Id travel to Campbell instead. Was it a good choice? Let me break it down for you.Starting Line-Up:[[Chicken Lumpia]] Cooked perfectly and better than the pre-packaged Shanghai Lumpia that you can get from any Asian market.[[Pansit Guisado]] A little bland with a gang load of sodium :)[[Crispy Kare Kare]] The sauce was a little too heavy on the peanut butter, however, my main gripe was the 4 pieces of pork belly. At $13.95 I was expecting at least 4.5 pieces :)[[Chicken Adobosilog]] Two healthy portions of chicken, but unfortunately, they were very dry :( Not your traditional adobo flavor/sauce, but the flavor wasnt bad.[[Tocilog & Longsilog]] Sunnyside up eggs were cooked perfectly and the garlic rice was on point. The sweet pork and sweet Filipino sausage were decent, but they were just lacking that distinctive flavor that Im used to.The atmosphere was nice and inviting, but it was a bit stuffy inside. Not sure if they were trying to mimic the humidity in the Philipines? Service was great, but I just cant say the same for the food. I would definitely give them another shot in the future, but for now, I will make the trek to Fremont.

Great decor, reminds me of a restaurant in PI. Food was excellent. We had the beef Kare-Kare, Fried white fish, and Pork Belly special. My favorite was the Pork Belly special, but all the dishes were great. I had a San Miguel beer which was delightful to try for the first time.Portion size with the 3 a la cart dishes was big enough for 4-5 if you just order the servings of rice for each person in your party.Thank you, Tapsilog Bistro! Not sure why it took me so long to try out Tapsilog Bistro!We ordered A LOT of food for a Saturday brunch.We had the pork lumpia shanghai, pork sizzling sisig, 2 meats silog, pork skewer, chicken skewer, and elysian space dust to quench our thirst.Food was piping hot. All was very good. We definitely over ordered, but perfect for leftovers :DShoutout to Cathy and Sarah for taking care of us. They also asked if I wanted to try out their homemade ube cheesecake. I decided to give it a try and bring it back for my mom to try! She enjoyed it!They tack on a 4% surcharge, but their service definitely supports it!Parking should be no issue. Probably the best part about visiting the west coast is...FILIPINO FOOD EVERYWHERE. We definitely had our pick around San José, but Tapsilog Bistro was as good as I could have hoped for, and better. Even my younger sister, who is pretty skeptical about my love for all things Filipino, was really impressed with her meal. I got a mix of tocilog and longsilog, with a kalamansi mimosa on the side ;) the owner actually served us, and hes a huge runner, which is something we all had in common. He was super personable, and gave my sister some good tips about local running clubs (were from Florida and she just moved to San Jose in August). Absolutely planning to go back the next time Im on that side of the states.EDIT - its been 8 months, but I came back to visit my sister and we came back to eat! The owner knows my sister now (shes been here since August), and even remembered me! The food was just as great, and we finished it off with some ice cream from their shop located next door. If I could give Tapsilog 10 stars instead of 5, I would.

As a Filipina I can say this is my favorite pinoy restaurant! My boyfriend and I are regulars - we love the pork adobo (sauce is amazing), fried tilapia, lechon kawale, lumpia, pansit, sisilog, and their burritos are a fun way to enjoy their adobo! Family owned, and when you come everyone knows your name - you feel like part of the family. Everyone is uncle/auntie, kuyah/ até.

Sadly the food was definitely more what we expected Adobo salty with excess soy sauce, Lumpia had to be sent back because it was not cooked all the way (cold inside), they had no ice for our water and no halo halo available because they had no Ice, we spent over $100 and the food was just average only decent thing that we got was the soup.

I originally ate here in the restaurant and everything was fantastic! More recently though, I have been buying the frozen pork bbq sticks and filling them at home. We served them at my daughter’s birthday party this year. They were a hit with both the kids and adults!! Had a great time here. We liked all the food (kare-kare was the best) and the portions are a bit on the bigger side. Staff are attentive and very friendly. We ordered a lot but we still almost finished them after coming from a 15 mile hike.I wouldve removed a star bec of the paper plates, cups and plastic utensils. Its diificult to eat with them. Its a weird decision but maybe they are short staffed so I did not think much of it but its still worth mentioning.They have several Filipino decorations and running medals displays. They have a small bar. Its not a huge place but they have a few outdoor seating available.

Unique menu, more than your average Filipino joint, the owner is very welcoming, clean place, tasty drinks, generous portions, GREAT FOOD. Its awesome. I personally love all of their fish (no spines & you can eat the whole thing) & my husband goes for the pork all the time, but the vegetarian options are tasty too. I kept giving Filipino food a try at other places, but it was missing that personal warm touch you can only get in a loving Filipino home. This place really puts a lot of thought into their menu and it tastes like its made with LOVE, people. Seriously. Try it.

I was here over a year ago and the food was so good. I came back here yesterday and was so disappointed. The fried chicken was not seasoned. They did not sell small a la carte items. Had to purchase big portions that did not taste good. Took home most of it and ended up tossing it out. Got our order wrong resulting in them overcharging us $15. Food was dry. Whole fish had scales on it and was cooked in old making it difficult to eat. Tasted like old french fries. Had old oil taste. Pancit was mostly flavorless. Even the Halo halo was bad. Expensive and we were both disappointed and went to get other food. Cant imagine why anyone would like the food here.

Its more of a hype. The bar setting theme is different and the owner walks around talking to frequent customers that makes the environment welcoming. However, when it comes to food, the quality is way short. The food taste mediocre and the composition is way too simple for the price we paid. My fried chicken (3 pieces) was actually chicken jerky and it also only comes with garlic fries rice and 2 small-sized fried eggs on top; nothing more. Its not worth $12.

This was a great find on a vacation to CA. I am half Filipino and dont have any Filipino restaurants where Im from, so this was a great treat for myself and my boyfriend. We walked in and were immediately greeted and sat at a table. The place is casual and fun, with a bar and medals hanging on the wall. The menu was large and had so many great typical Filipino choices! Additionally, the prices were extremely reasonable for the amount of food, and high quality food, that you got.Service was fast and friendly and I highly recommend this place! They also seemed to have a food truck/catering business!

I had the steak and eggs silog, and it was not very impressive. The meat was very tough and over spiced. Garlic rice was awful, and the cucumber salad was extremely small. Service was okay, but the waiter did not bother to check on us.If you want good Filipino food, keep looking.

I really like their food. The chicken adobo burrito was really good, I loved the adobo sauce on the side. One of my favorites along with some of the classic Filipino food. My family has been eating here before COVID. The food and service has been consistently good. We pretty much always get the silogs.During COVID, weve gotten take-outs. In our most recent order, it was funny, the two eggs in each silog were cooked identically - one with well-done yolk, one with medium.We had:Longsilog - I cant speak to how authentic was the longganisa. I can only say, its not my personal preference. The texture tasted almost as if it had some liver in the filling. It was also too sweet for my taste.Pork chop silog - The two breaded pork chops were well seasoned and cooked to perfection - tender and juicy.Bisteksilog - The beef was tasty but slightly overcooked. (This is the case for the beef entrees we have ordered before).In addition to the great food, I also appreciate how they mind the small details. The menu has plenty of variety and even if you are not an adventurous eater there are plenty of items to chose from. Service is good and friendly and the food was out unbelievably fast. They have a decent beer selection as well. For desert I recommend the holo-holo which is really quite unique. The atmosphere inside is fun, casual and has an eclectic decor. Its in a somewhat odd location in a strip mall behind Payless Shoe Source but if you spot the billboard its definitely worth a try and its fairly inexpensive.
