So happy we were passing through and stopped here. We went by just before close but thankfully the staff were very nice to let us stay and eat while they closed up the restaurant. Very authentic flavor, and good size portions. So tasty, definitely give this place a try!!

The food here is as good as the reviews say it is! The Al pastor was a bit dry but as a whole, the wet burrito was one of the best I’ve had. Great flavor and good balance of ingredients. The restaurant itself is small but there were quite a few tables to sit at. The only negative was that there were a lot of kids running around and being loud. It honestly wasn’t a big deal to me but I could see it being bothersome to others.

If you want authentic delicious Mexican food this is the spot for you!! You will not be disappointed. The birria burrito is AMAZING and if you like nice and spicy like I do add the chili oil to it. 🤤 I am very very picky and it was perfection!! Can not go wrong with the queso birria tacos either. Restaurant is very clean. family owned and ran they are very warm and friendly. This is my favorite spot every bite brings back the best childhood memories of food made by my Nina. Highly recommendOnly thing left to get a picture of were my son’s birria tacos not (queso birria tacos) when I did this review.lol

Loved it! We came here because of the good reviews and they didn’t lie! The food was amazing! In fact, it was so good, we came back the next night and bought enough Quesadillas for the 6h drive the next day! Definitely recommend, super nice people as well and delicious food. My favorite (next to the Quesadillas) were the Nacho Fries! Out of this world :) just be careful - they sell out early on some meats, if you come too late, there might be less options.

I was working in the area and found this little gem in 29 palms. I had their cabeza burrito. It was bomb!! Person at the counter was very friendly. She gave me 4 different kinds of salsa. They were all so good. If your looking for some good authentic Mexican food, this is the place.

Highly recommend this taqueria to any visitors to Joshua Tree National Park, its not far from Rt 62....just a few minutes. I loved the tacos al pastor and asada. My vegetarian family members had many options and enjoyed their burritos. Another in our party had a chicken quesadilla...and we enjoyed the chips and salsa. Very friendly staff....they gave us free tacos too.

My family and I arrived at 6:50pm for a takeout order. After an hour wait, my husband went to the cashier to ask about our order. She told him that they “ran out of carne asada and were waiting for it to finish cooking.” After another 10 minutes I went to ask again and the cashier said to me “ it’s our fryer, it isn’t frying” just as she had set an order of carne asada fries down on a table. She lied to our face and couldn’t tell us why it had taken more than an hour to do our order. I asked for our money back and left very frustrated. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this restaurant again. I had my kids with me including my 1yr old who was crying in the car.

Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in town! (In my opinion) the best restaurant in general, in Twentynine Palms! The food is always fresh and the wait is rarely over 15 minutes. The salsas are great and differentiate in flavor and spice. If my wife would allow me to, I would eat here every day. PS. try their quesabirrias, they are my favorite.

This place is 🔥! Grimy little hole in the wall that delivers on the food. I got three tacos: chicken, Al pastor, and chorizo. All three were solid: al pastor and choriza were my favorite. Then I got the quesotaco with chorizo (they were out of usual) and that was incredible. Next time I go back, I will do a couple of those. Girlfriend got the vegetarian burrito and loved it. Will be back next time we are in town at least once.

Ive traveled to many different places in the country and in Mexico. The food here is made from scratch. The beans tasted like my grandmothers, and her beans are the best ones Ive had. Not to mention, the rice was the perfect texture and taste. The tacos are amazing, try the cabeza meat, its very tasty! I had the corn-tortilla quesadillas, they were delicious. The horchata is perfect, its not too sweet. I will definitely be visiting again. This place is a hidden gem in Twentynine Palms. Staff was very friendly too. All around, my stomach was pleasantly surprised.

I arrived and was at the back of a 6 or 7 person line. Despite this, the line moved quickly and I had food in my hand in under 15 minutes.The food itself was awesome. The wet burrito could be called the drowned burrito, but in a delightful way.The tacos are smaller than I was expecting but definitely worth it, just need to order more in the future.This place absolutely merits a return visit. If your in 29P and want food Mexican food served quickly, check it out.

Just visited on their opening day today. 29 hasnt had a really great taco spot, street vendors aside. For good Mexican food, we used to have to visit Kasa Market and the like in Yucca. Well, not anymore! Our house tried their quesabirria, a quesadilla, a wet burrito, a sope, and street tacos. Everything was fantastic! Around $40 with tip for three people and far more food than we could possibly eat in one sitting. Looking forward to the leftovers, and coming by again!

Delicious food and friendly service. We ate at the small taqueria and there was not a single point where there wasn’t someone coming in to order and get the service was still pretty quick! My kids are very picky and they asked to order a second order of tacos. My oldest asked if he could say thank you and the cook came out and said hi and the kids loved it. 10/10 recommend the shrimp tacos. Loved the salsa/sauce it came with it. Definitely will be back!

Great food and people were very nice. Prices were reasonable. They have a few different kinds of hot sauce/chile for the food. One is a hot oil which was really good and hot. Great menu. I’ll come here every visit. Wish this place had been open years ago. It’s just off the main streets where the other restaurants are so you don’t see it if you’re driving around but it’s a great place to eat.

Ive been there twice now. The first visit was during lunch time and it was VERY busy. I was with 5 others and we chose to dine in. We got our food pretty quickly but unfortunately I didnt receive mine and another didnt receive all his order. We brought this to their attention and we received it remarkably fast and while what I received wasnt what I thought it would be, it was still really good. I ordered the wrong thing by mistake. I wanted the quesabirria tacos with consome (which everyone has been raving about) but instead ordered the quesabirria (which is birria and cheese between 2 tortillas). The second visit we placed our order online and it was ready when we arrived. I ordered the chicken burrito, quesabirria taco and a side of rice and it was all very very good! We all loved our food very much and will definitely be going back. Id rate the service at 4 stars because I think the menu is a little confusing and is a little different in person than their website and it seems a little chaotic when its busy but the food is definitely 5 stars. I think theyre doing a great job for just starting out and will definitely improve and grow with more time and experience.

Went here because of the good reviews and for a nice Mexican bite. That was a good plan. The super enthusiastic employee is very helpful in choosing and radiates great pleasure in his work. The service works efficiently and within a short time everyone has their food. Delicious honest food for a reasonable price. Given the crowds during the meal of people who came to pick up food, we were not the only ones who appreciated the food.
