Food pretty good. Ordered super, and side of rice n beans. No utensils were provided. I wish theyd offer hot sauce. They were to deep in conversation to give me a second to even ask for hot sauce.

I love everything about this place! Nice people, nice service, nice carnitas and Carne Asado tacos, nice red and green sauce, and especially good chile rellenos.Went back weekly since my first review, and ate in today; August 3rd.It continues to be a pleasant experience. The lady there was so kind to my companion and caught up with me as I was about to leave without my to-go order!

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in town, and we have tried them all. Taqueria Davis has not disappointed us yet (unless they are closed or out of town). The food is wonderful, and the owners are so kind and welcoming! I think we are probably addicted to their green salsa and need to seek help. 😆

Very friendly, hospitable service. Ordered a few items and was only disappointed with the taco de papa... it was not a fried taco with mashed potato and cheese filing but rather cubed potatoes on two street taco sized tortillas. The flavor was good, but not what I was expecting or what was on the menu. The flan lifted my spirits, though, as it was not too eggie tasting, and the caramel sauce was just right, too. Inside was nice with all the pictures, but with the 106 heat outside and only a few fans going, I was sweating and could hardly cool down to enjoy the food. Will definitely give it another shot next time Im in Davis.

Never been nefore, but reviews have it highly rated, as they should! Very friendly staff, that clearly know how to serve and make glorious food. The only thing more fantastic than the layers of my Macho Burrito, was the layers of satisfaction! Kids got quesadillas with meat, and they RAVED about the red salsa that came with chips. They called the horchata heaven drink The restrooms seemed decent considering its a really really old building. Not that fake clean where its like bleach on top of bathroom smell. Bathrooms only for patrons. I live in Vacaville and will certainly be driving back any chance I get. Wonderful experience, and you can tell they have a steady stream of repeat customers, no surprise 😀

I came here on Friday to treat my local friend to dinner. I got nachos with chicken, he got Carne asada fries. Apart from the nachos being priced a little higher than Id like, the entire experience was good. The service was super friendly and our food came out pretty quickly. It tasted great and I really enjoyed our time there. The music was nice in the background. Glad we tried this place.

DO NOT spend your money here. I should have got a 7/11 pizza. I ordered a Torta Carne Asada. Dried up pieces of beef left overs some soggy lettuce and a few cooked onions no mayonnaiseno tomatono cheeseno guacamoleno pico de gallono limeIt was very disappointing for the amount of money I spent $11.80I was not given a reciept.I would have rather be told sorry we ran out of torta fixings try again then waste my money on a tasteless tiny OVERPRICED sandwich.I will recommend DO NOT order a torta at this fine restaurant.

First time here and I will be back. Simple, non pretentious and authentic with large portions at a great price.. Plus its a little way from downtown, so much less traffic and theres parking.Lastly Im vegetarian, so it was a pleasant surprise that they have whole beans..

Came here for the first time last week and it was so good!! These tacos are the best in davis. I lived in San Diego so i missed authentic tacos but this place is the most authentic in the area!! So tasty and the lady at the register was so kind. Will be back for any taco needs

The only Mexican restaurant in Davis that is worth it. Taqueria Davis has delicious tacos, burritos, and salsas. There is also pozole & menudo sometimes on the menu which I want to try. The service is friendly & prompt with the food. It’s also a good place to sit down for a drink with a good selection of beers & wines. Classic.

Great Mexican food that I went two times in a row. The carnitas were crispy, flavorful, and melt in your mouth amazing. Also the staff is really nice and friendly. Only con is the long wait time as theyre made to order and very popular. Just order on the phone to remedy this issue.

This is one of the best spots in town. Try the huaraches, Mexico City-style tacos, and stay for the excellent and kind staff. Just take care when parking as the lot can be a bit cramped.

Pretty good place, not the greatest but tastes authentic.The best thing about this place is the staff. The line was held up because two people were making a huge order. But I didnt even get mad, the staff was being super gracious with the customers, as she does to all of the customers. Shes like the Mexican mother Ive never had.The food was pretty good. A little more pricy than other places. Got 3 tacos & drink for $11. Fish taco tasted great, pastor was good too. Chkn was pretty dry. My friend got a wet egg burrito, he said it was about an 8/10.Chips were alright, but only two salsas available.Overall, pretty good place.

Delicious!! Everything was great! Ive gotten a carnitas burrito and the enchiladas suizas and both were so good. The burrito was huge and really well made, I even had enough for 2 meals, same with the enchilada plate. Their horchata and flan were also quite delicious too! Definitely my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Davis.

Carne asada fries are a great value. Fries are well cooked, taste deep fried. Im surprised with their pico. Unlike other places where they just taste like tomatoes, theirs are very flavorful and well spiced. Horchata is verryy good. Chips and salsas are good, too.

In terms of taste, this place is great. The food and variety are top-notch and the sauces/additions are readily available as required. They also have very good water.The staff are very friendly and easy to communicate with as well.However, the service is quite slow, the place is small and pretty cramped (not packed, just not much walking room what with the tables and whatnot), and the taco tortillas are waaay too small for their filling. They give two tortillas but honestly one larger one would be so much better. And the tacos are tiny, but thats not too big of an issue seeing how theyre relatively inexpensive.

A bit pricey for a taquera. The mole was yummy as a sauce, but not as exciting on plain shredded chicken... the beans need an infusion of flavor. The service was friendly. For the price, it should include table service, and a step up in flavor.

Used as to find local Mexican food after I visited the DMV. Great service here. The gentlemen at the counter is efficient, kind, and thorough. The wait wasnt that long under ten min and I came around 1230p. A little compact for waiting but clean space typical condiments and fully stocked on jarritos!!!

I told the guy the tortilla chips that were out in the salsa bar were extremely stale. Im talking bag of potato chips open for 3 weeks soggy stale. No reasonable human would assess these as enjoyably edible kind of stale. Sat there for an hour more having a lunch conversation and they never changed the tortilla chips. Stuff like that shows how much a restaurant cares and indicates the quality. This place is not quality, and they dont care. So come on down and eat the soggy chips and have some mediocre food that is somehow slightly higher priced than the good Mexican taco places in Davis. Ive been here several times at this point and this is my second 1 star review in 5 years of casual reviewing.

I stopped here for the first time to get a $10.50 super beef burrito for takeout. There were several people in the restaurant, and the person who took my order was cheerful and friendly.But, when I left with my order, and was back on the road, it was very disappointing to open the wrapper and bite into a cold burrito. The burrito was very cold on one side, and barely warm on the other side. It tasted as though it had been prepared a day ahead of time and then heated up in the microwave. The meat was dry and had a lot of gristle.It was supposed to be a super burrito - Menu states it should have contained:Super: Meat, Beans, Rice, Salsa, Cheese, Lettuce, Sour Cream & GuacamoleThe burrito I got only contained rice and beans and no salsa that I could detect.Not sure what happened, but just a warning to others to check your take-out before you leave.

This place has really good street tacos and Salas. They are the closest that Ive been able to find, in the area, that compare to the ones that I use to get when I lived in Orange county. My husband really likes the cheese enchiladas here.

Damn, tae kwon do burrito... if you dont know now you know. Korean style marinated meat in a burrito, this is what I come here for. Great food, great people and huge portions. My favorites are the super carnitas burrito and the side order of chili rellionoes with sour cream on top with a side of flour tortillas to make little burritos out of them : ) YUMMMMMMMY!!!!!!!!
